Well it seems like an episode on nostalgia was in order as I think of my two favorite seasons that are right upon us... Fall and Winter. Ahhh... the nostalgia of walking in the leaves, playing in the snow or, my favorite, hunkering down with an excellent book-book (the kind with pages). There's a lot of history, and advice, regarding this nostalgia topic. My advice, if anyone's asking, is to take it easy on yourself and only have what I consider "good nostalgia" memories. This is Stephanie...Talk, Tales and Trivia Once again I talk about our resolutions and the one biggest resolution that we either have right now, have had in the past or know we will have as a future resolution. I have certainly been captive to this resolution for most of my life and in so doing I have really led a less than happy and exciting life. That is up until recently. Yes. I've discovered, if you let your negative self talk, your thoughts, and feelings take charge you may lead a sad life where you are always chasing your dreams. My weight fluctuated so much that it stopped me from doing many things such as events and parties where I knew there would be food, dinner with friends and family, and going to the movies where there would be snacks and sugury treats just to name a few examples. And even in those occasions where I went to do things, I would sit around and worry about the weight I might be putting on. Always thinking about food, and working out is no fun BUT there is a wonderful end that may just make you feel better. I'm not going to tell you what it is, though. You have to listen to the episode. Well, this week I free wheel it with no script or bullet points but just speak from the heart about this all American week that begins with Thanksgiving. It used to be Black Friday was the big day after Thanksgiving but no more. Yep. The powers that be can't stop adding days to make the shopping go on, and on, and on! Episode 55 - It's A Hallmark Christmas Season - Oh...it's On, Baby! Helloo...this is Stephanie...Talk, Tales and Trivia. Yep. It's true! In this episode Stephanie talks, and talks, and talks about her love of the Christmas season by highlighting the Hallmark company that includes the two Hallmark cable channels. These are two very important channel's to Stephanie this season. Why? Because of the Hallmark Original Christmas Movies that play all season long. Yes. For Stephanie...it feels so right! So it can't be wrong! She goes into a little history (and we do mean a very little) and then dives right into all the snowy, Christmas-time Hallmark fun. Hey, if you have time, glide on over to the "Countdown To Christmas" on the Hallmark Channel and see what Stephanie's all aglow about. Also, Hallmark has an online game on the website that you can enter to win prizes! Fun! Yes. There is fun for all! There's so much to see and do this time of year but to Stephanie, carving out a little time to sit, relax, unwind, and drink a hot beverage while watching a Christmas movie...or five...is SO worth it! You might say it's the frosting on top of the gingerbread cookie! Well, that just makes us hungry. So now...go quick...get that wonderful hot beverage of choice and throw a blanket on, get in your coziest chair and relax with a Hallmark Christmas movie or two. And promise us that for a couple of hours or so you will let yourself just sit and watch a "feel good" Christmas movie. Stephanie does it all the time and, you know what?...it DOES feel good. Now, The Two Things To Keep In Mind: *The Hallmark Channel has romantic, love story Christmas movies. And...just a heads up here but...the movies usually involve some sort of a love triangle with a hard decision having to be made at the end. And it's pretty much a no brainer on how it's going to end. *The Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Channel has family, feel-good Christmas movies. These kind of movies are perfect for when the whole family is gathered around with a big bowl of popcorn. Either way...you can't go wrong. We expect justice, especially in our court system but it seems we don't always get it as is the case of Marcus Johnson, a man serving a steep sentence for a petty crime. It was his case that brought me to Savannah, Georgia, and with my trusty journalist friend, "Anonymous", we were going to solve Marcuse's case and the corruption of the Georgia court system that was happening right before our eyes. The case wasn't easy. We had to deal with a nefarious group, named "The Shadow Consortium". It was filled with demonic people who hated what America stands for. Once we were on the case, we couldn't walk away. Episode 41 - It's All Fun And Games - In this here episode, Stephanie talks about having fun and games. It's all very exciting. The "thinking about having fun while playing games" part. But is it really fun? "Wednesday Game Night" is an actual thing and it's becoming popular once again (Everything is cyclical. Remember that). Of course, game night means board games, card games and kids' games that have been, perhaps, forgotten and need to be dusted of the shelf for a second run.
