We’re turning up the volume with a leader who proves that real influence is built on integrity, intention, and purpose. This episode is about leadership with heart, responsibility with backbone, and building something that lasts.

Meet Vinny Arnese, a leader, mentor, and culture builder who’s deeply committed to showing young people what’s possible in the skilled trades.

Driven by a genuine passion for the trades and a belief in doing the work with intention, Vinny’s journey led him to LIXIL, where he focuses on leadership, accountability, and opening doors for young people by showing them real pathways into careers in plumbing and the skilled trades.

His work goes beyond the talk,  it’s about education, exposure, and helping students see a future they may not have imagined for themselves.

In this episode of Tradeswomen Talk, Vinny sits down with us for a real, no-fluff conversation about leadership, growth, and what it truly means to show up.

Vinny brings clarity, humility, and straight talk as we dig into the work behind the title. This is about leadership with heart, responsibility with backbone, and building something that lasts.

This episode is grounded, honest, and powerful, a reminder that leadership isn’t about being the loudest voice in the room, but the most consistent one.

With excitement, Introducing the hosts of Tradeswomen Talk
Andrea Harris and Judaline Cassidy

Andrea Harris
Here is a quote about Andrea that will stand out when you hear her story
“She led the way and embraced change”.
Let’s take a quick walk through her career as a Mason. She initiated her career through Mason Local 780 where she worked on bridges, tunnels and high rises. She left high rise construction to enter the private sector Department of Homeless Services. She left DHS and became the city’s first female cement mason at FDNY.
She didn’t leave each position she made a change to become the leader of her career. On that note, let’s change the word left to lead. Every change she created another pathway to rise.
Through her whole career she led by example.
She created a bridge for a pathway to allow other women to:
Walk in your purpose
Face your fearsBelieve in the journey
Take the first step towards the new chapter in your life.

The bridge will always be the connection between your goals and accomplishments. She built the high rises to show other women it's possible to:
Rise up!
Stand up for what you believe in!
Don’t be afraid for change!
Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today!
Reach higher; you got this!

Judaline Cassidy.
Judaline  was born to be a winner!
Girl + Women + Lady = Overwhelming grace.
She enjoyed the beauty of becoming.
This Girl
A girl with a dream allowed her to become a woman.
This Woman
This woman is determined to rise, which allowed her to appreciate the lady she has become.
This Lady
This lady shows up every day to remind herself that kindness is a choice that comes from her incredible strength.
She is a feminist, plumber, tradeswoman, activist, motivational speaker, and advocate.
She’s a native of the twin islands of Trinidad and Tobago! Judaline  is a proud member of Plumbers Local Union No. 1 in New York City. In 2017, she started “Tools & Tiaras Inc. ” as a way to expose, inspire, mentor, and show the next generation of young girls and women how the trades are a lucrative  meaningful “non-traditional” career path for women.

Hard Truths + Heart: Ke Taylor15 Nov 202500:38:38

On this episode of Tradeswoman Talk, your favorite duo, Andrea and I — sit down with the powerful and unapologetic Ke… and trust me, this one hits different.

Ke opens up about growing up without a clear purpose, wandering through life feeling like something was missing, and then discovering the one thing that changed everything: the plumbing industry.

Once she found the trades, she didn’t just find a job,  she found her purpose, her pride, and her voice. And now? Sis is out here making a name for herself and flipping the script on what the industry looks like, simply by showing up as Ke: bold, brilliant, and beautifully herself.

We talk sisterhood, self-discovery, breaking stereotypes, and what it means to walk into a room,  or a job-site, and shift the whole energy.

Ke is proof that when you find your why, you become unstoppable.

Come laugh with us, learn with us, and soak up some island-girl sass and tradeswoman truth. This episode is all heart, all grit, and all Ke.

Steph Reed Realtor, Builder and Trades Advocate.16 May 202000:47:46

Steph Reed has embraced:

Her Steph Reed has embraced:
Her purpose
Her journey
Her DESTINY!

She’s not just the co-owner of Partners By Design; she was voted Builder of the Year by the Des Moines Home Builders Association of Greater Des Moines for 2018.
Furthermore, she is the chairperson for Professional Women in Des Moines and is on the National Board of Trustees for Professional Women in Building
She is definitely where she needs to be and everything is unfolding exactly the way it needs to. Her passion and consistency for others has assigned her success. An ardent advocate for women and all youth in the skilled trades.

She believes in working hard and making it happen!

With excitement, let me introduce to you Steph Reed.

Steph Reed spent her teen-age summers in Texas, working with her father hanging and prepping drywall, wallpaper and painting. It may not have been the type of job most young girls did, but it taught her two things that have guided her since.

That a love of the building industry doesn’t require a particular gender – and that anyone can earn the respect that only comes after a hard day of working with your hands.
Today, Steph is the co-owner of Partners By Design – a company she started with her husband after years of learning the home building trade by providing direct support to builders, vendors and contractors while working directly with clients. Steph was voted Builder of the Year by the Des Moines Home Builders Association of Greater Des Moines for 2018. She hopes the honor will help her in her goal of serving as a role model for women in the industry. She is the chairperson for Professional Women in Des Moines and is on the National Board of Trustees for Professional Women in Building. Her goal is to promote and educate young women to get involved in the skilled trades industry.

Tradeswomen Talk Trailer 10 Apr 202000:06:08

Ever wondered what it takes to build the world around us?

Welcome to Tradeswomen Talk, the podcast where we pull back the curtain on the construction industry and share the real stories of the people who build our cities, communities, and futures.

I’m Judaline Cassidy, union plumber, speaker, author, workforce advocate, and founder of Tools & Tiaras, a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring girls to explore careers in the skilled trades.

Each episode features honest, inspiring, and often surprising conversations with tradeswomen, tradesmen, industry leaders, apprentices, business owners, and changemakers. Together, we explore their journeys, challenges, successes, and the lessons they’ve learned along the way.

Born in Trinidad and Tobago and raised by grit, determination, and a belief that today’s no is tomorrow’s yes, I’ve spent decades breaking barriers in a male-populated industry while helping create pathways for the next generation.

Since founding Tools & Tiaras in 2017, I’ve helped introduce thousands of girls to the skilled trades through hands-on workshops, summer camps, mentorship, and career exploration opportunities, all built around one simple belief:

Jobs Don’t Have Genders®

Whether you’re already in the trades, considering a career change, looking for inspiration, or simply curious about the people who keep the world running, there’s a seat for you here.

So grab your hard hat, your coffee, or your favorite cup of tea, and join us as we talk tools, truth, leadership, resilience, and the power of building a life on your own terms.

Welcome to Tradeswomen Talk.

This Is the Episode That Will Make You Finally Do That Thing: Judaline Cassidy 29 May 202600:34:47

Some books are written to impress people.

This one was written to move people.

In this solo episode of Tradeswomen Talk.

I’m sharing the story behind my book, Conceive It. Believe It. And Then Do That Sht!t why I wrote it, what it cost me to tell the truth, and what I hope readers take away from every page.

This isn’t a book about being extraordinary. It’s a book about what happens when ordinary people stop waiting for permission and start betting on themselves.

From growing up in Trinidad to becoming a union plumber in New York City, from cleaning houses and working as a nanny to founding Tools & Tiaras, writing books, and building a movement that has impacted thousands of girls, my journey has been filled with setbacks, detours, rejection, and moments when quitting would have been easier.

But I’ve learned something along the way:
Dreams don’t work because you have talent.
Dreams work because you do.

In this episode, I talk about the difference between wishing and believing, why action is the missing ingredient in so many people’s lives, and how grit has carried me further than confidence ever could.

If you’ve been sitting on an idea, a business, a career change, a creative project, or a dream that’s been whispering to you for years, this conversation is for you.

Because the truth is, most people don’t fail because they aren’t capable.

They fail because they never begin.

So consider this your nudge. Your push. Your loving Caribbean auntie-style kick in the pants.

Conceive it.Believe it.And then do that sh!t!

Earned Not Given: Maria Ford03 Mar 202600:33:10

Leadership isn’t handed to you.

It’s earned.

In this episode, Maria Ford and I go beyond titles and talk about the real foundation of next-level leadership, discipline, accountability, and the courage to lead with vulnerability.

Yes, vulnerability.

Because strength isn’t pretending you have all the answers.

It’s being honest enough to grow, adjust, and lead people,  not just manage outcomes.

We dive into:

• What “earned, not given” looks like in real time

• Why vulnerability is a leadership advantage, not a weakness

• The discipline behind high-performance standards

• How to lead under pressure without losing yourself

• And why industry responsibility matters

We also talk about the role companies like DeWalt play in shaping the future, empowering the next generation to confidently pick up tools, see themselves in the trades, and step into spaces that once felt out of reach.

Because leadership isn’t just about today’s results.

It’s about who we’re building up for tomorrow.

This episode is for the leaders who understand:

You don’t demand respect.

You earn it.

And once you earn it, you use it to open doors for someone else.

Listen in. Reflect. Then ask yourself — are you just holding a position… or are you building a legacy?

Leadership Without Ego: Kevin Khemraj 24 Feb 202600:38:47

What does real leadership look like in the trades when the title comes off and the responsibility stays on?

In this episode of Tradeswomen Talk, we sit down with Kevin Khemraj, Vice President of Welkin Mechanical, for a powerful conversation about the kind of leadership that doesn’t need to be loud to be felt. The kind that builds strong teams, earns respect in the field, and creates space for others to rise.

Kevin shares his journey from engineer to executive and the lessons learned in high-pressure rooms, on complex projects, and in the everyday moments where trust is either built, or broken. We talk about accountability, making hard decisions, mentoring the next generation, and why the best leaders are the ones still willing to listen.

This episode isn’t just for people with a title.

It’s for anyone who leads a crew, a project, a classroom, or is preparing to step into their next level.

Because leadership in the trades isn’t about ego.

It’s about impact.

So whether you’re on the train, in the truck, on the job, or home winding down, it time to lock in.
