In this episode, we’re joined by Eve McDowell, a survivor of stalking who, alongside Una Ring, successfully campaigned for the introduction of stalking legislation in Ireland. Stalking legislation was introduced in 2023 and now provides legal protections for victims of stalking.
Since then, she has been developing and delivering workshops and resources to a range of people to help tackle issues on stalking, sexual violence and harassment. Eve is passionate about the promotion of consent and safer nightlife. She has a Masters degree in Public Advocacy & Activist, is qualified in Sexual Consent Promotion and Mental Health Promotion.
We chat with Eve about:

For this episode, Madeline and Mary sit down with Debbie Ging, Professor of Digital Media and Gender in the School of Communications at Dublin City University. Debbie teaches and researches on gender, sexuality and digital media, with a focus on digital hate, online anti-feminist and men's rights politics, incel subculture and the radicalisation of boys and men into male supremacist ideologies. Her research also addresses youth experiences of gender-based and sexual abuse online and educational interventions to tackle this issue.
Debbie been researching the manosphere for over 10 years watching it grow from a subculture on the fringes of the internet to a mainstream force reaching most young boys. Together we'll chat about:

Since 1996, 276 women have been killed in violent circumstances in Ireland. This is known as femicide, the intentional killings of women and girls precisely because of their gender.
For the final episode of the season, we sit down with Jodie McGuinness, sister of Natalie McGuinness. 10 years ago, Natalie was killed by Oisin Conroy, a man she saw as a close friend. She was just 23 years old. This October marks 10 years since Natalie’s killing.
We are also joined by Sarah Benson, CEO of Women’s Aid, whose expertise on violence against women spans over 25 years.
