The 2022 MLB Trade Deadline has come and gone, but here's our take on what happened... and one non-trade thing that happened is great for the Atlanta Braves.

The hitting is starting to come around -- ace pitching opposition withstanding -- but there's lots of things for Fred and Alan to discuss this week from our rocking chairs, including an estimation of the outfield situation and a guess on the potential issues for this year's trade deadline.

This week, a couple of curmudgeons talk about the state of the hitting for our Atlanta Braves and what it might take -- collectively -- to make things right... while there's still time for that to happen.  Plus, our podcast now has a new name!

The first slog of 14 games in a row is done, and it's time to assess what we're seeing out of these 2022 Atlanta Braves... some good, some bad, but we're still waiting on this club to gel... particularly on the offensive side.

Baseball is back with a new collective bargaining agreement.  In this episode, we discuss some of the major aspects of the new agreement, but of course the topic causing the most consternation for Braves' fans involves... Freddie Freeman.

We're now past Day 70 of the MLB Lockout and while the reporters are hoping for a breakthrough today, we discuss what has been agreed to, what major hurdles still remain, and touch on the mountain of work still required.  Attitudes need to change... quickly.

This is a story you've almost certainly never heard before... yet it's part of the origins of professional baseball in this country, and or the origins of the Atlanta Braves in particular.  Among the giants of this franchise should include people like Hank Aaron, Bobby Cox, Warren Spahn, Kid Nichols, and many more. But we would be highly lacking to overlook the story of Harry Wright.

Welcome to the start of our 3rd season of the TomahawkTake podcast!  Our title this week may be 'Labor Pains', but this is much more about who gets hurt by the labor strife between baseball's owners and players.  Here's a quick hint:  it's not the owners and players.

We're now into May -- the time where the good, the bad, and the ugly are usually figured out by now and yet the Atlanta Braves are still trying to figure out how to pitch and hit consistently.  But we'll still talk about why that's the case.

It was a month where the Atlanta Braves should have run out to a big division lead... and instead found every way possible to avoid an outright claim on first place.  So what went wrong... and what went right?

This is an Atlanta Braves team that we expected to hit well, pitch well, and start dominating the NL East right out of the gate.  But injuries -- and some other underlying trends -- appears to have conspired against Atlanta in this early part of the season.
