| Ep. 19: How to Start Decluttering This Fall Without Doing It All | 21 Sep 2026 | 00:13:14 | |
Fall has a way of making us look around our homes and think, Okay, now I'm finally going to deal with all of this. But when your mind jumps from starting to everything it would take to finish, it can be easy to put the whole thing off for another day. In Episode 19 of Tidy Talk, we're talking about that all-or-nothing mindset and a different question you can ask yourself this fall: Instead of focusing on everything you haven't gotten done, what could feel different in your home a few months from now? Maybe your closet is easier to use. Maybe there's finally room to put things away. Maybe you've made decisions about the boxes you've been avoiding, or there's simply one area of your home that no longer feels overwhelming every time you walk past it. Your whole house doesn't have to change for your home to start feeling different. And sometimes we're so busy noticing everything we haven't gotten to yet that we forget to look at what we have done and recognize how even those small changes are already making our home feel a little better. 🍂 Registration is OPEN for Clear Your Clutter: Fall Edition! | Ep.18: Why Decluttering Gets More Emotional In Midlife | 14 Sep 2026 | 00:09:41
Decluttering in midlife can feel very different than it did years ago. By this stage of life, so many of the things in our homes are connected to people, memories and different seasons we’ve lived through. The kids’ things, family keepsakes, gifts, belongings from parents, clothes from an earlier version of ourselves—even things we don’t necessarily want anymore can carry a story that makes letting go feel complicated. In Episode 18 of Tidy Talk, we’re talking about why decluttering can become more emotional in midlife and why having a hard time making certain decisions doesn’t necessarily mean you should keep everything. Sometimes it simply means the decision deserves a little more thought. We’ll talk about slowing down, understanding what’s really making an item difficult to let go of, and beginning to decide what still belongs in the life and home you have today. Because the goal isn’t to erase your past or get rid of the things that matter. It’s to keep the memories that are meaningful to you while creating a home that feels easier to live in, manage and enjoy in this season of your life. 🍂 Registration is OPEN for Clear Your Clutter: Fall Edition! Join me September 29th, 30th & October 1st for my FREE 3-day workshop, where we’ll start small, make some of those decluttering decisions you’ve been putting off, and begin creating a home that feels easier to live in and manage. | Ep. 17: The Clutter You Don't See Still Takes Up Space | 07 Sep 2026 | 00:13:55
Your home may look pretty clutter-free on the outside…but when was the last time you looked behind closed doors? In Episode 17 of Tidy Talk, we’re talking about the clutter that can quietly collect inside our closets, cabinets and drawers. It may be neatly tucked away and completely out of sight, but it’s still taking up valuable space and can make everyday life harder than it needs to be. I’m also sharing why, when I work with clients, what’s behind those closed doors often gives me a much clearer picture of where they’re really struggling and why those are often the areas I suggest we start. Because sometimes the clutter sitting on the kitchen counter isn’t really the problem. The problem may be that there’s nowhere to put it because the cabinets are already full. This week, I’m giving you one very simple challenge: open one door. Take a look at what’s actually there, notice what you use and what you may have completely forgotten about, and see if one or two small decisions could give you a little more breathing room. Because creating a home that’s easier to live in and manage isn’t just about how it looks. It’s about how it works for you every day. ✨ My free three-day Clear Your Clutter: Fall Edition workshop is coming September 29th through October 1st. | Ep. 16: Is Your Home Asking Too Much From You? | 31 Aug 2026 | 00:14:14
Is your home asking too much of you? We don't usually think about how much work our belongings create for us, but everything we choose to keep needs something: a place to live, time to clean or maintain it, and sometimes our energy just to move it around, organize it or find it when we need it. In Episode 16 of Tidy Talk, we're looking at the little ways our homes can quietly become harder to manage. Maybe you're rearranging the pantry every time you bring home groceries, searching through a closet full of clothes to find something to wear, or constantly moving things around just to make everything fit. The answer isn't always another bin, shelf or organizing system. Sometimes it's asking a different question: Do I still want to keep taking care of all of this? This isn't about becoming a minimalist or getting rid of everything you love. It's about making thoughtful decisions so your home becomes easier to live in, easier to manage and easier to find what you need, leaving more of your time and energy for the life you're actually living. ✨ And I'm also sharing a little sneak peek at my free three-day Clear Your Clutter: Fall Edition workshop, coming September 29th through October 1st. | Ep. 15: When Your Home Is Full of Decisions You Keep Avoiding | 24 Aug 2026 | 00:14:45
Have you ever walked into a room, looked at all the things you need to deal with...and walked right back out? Sometimes what looks like a clutter problem is really a decision problem. In this episode of Tidy Talk, we’re talking about all those decisions we keep putting off: the box you don’t know what to do with, your grown kids’ belongings, sentimental pieces, and those “I might need this someday” items that keep finding their way back onto the shelf. I’m also sharing the area of my own home that I tend to avoid (yes, even as a professional organizer!) and why I’ve realized that so much of what’s holding me back isn’t the stuff itself. It’s all the decisions attached to it. We’ll talk about why “I don’t know” doesn’t always mean “I want to keep it,” how decision fatigue can make decluttering feel harder than it needs to, and why you don’t have to make every decision today. Sometimes making just one decision you’ve been avoiding is enough to create a little breathing room. ✨ Join me in the Reset Room! We’re meeting Saturday, August 29th for our monthly free guided decluttering session. Share the area that’s been frustrating you or where you’ve been feeling stuck, and we’ll talk it through together before choosing a place to focus. Then we’ll spend some time getting to work alongside one another. It’s completely free and your camera is optional. | Ep. 14: Does Your Home Still Fit Your Life Today? | 17 Aug 2026 | 00:14:44
Does your home still fit the life you’re living today? Our lives change over the years, especially in midlife, but sometimes our homes don’t change right along with us. The kids grow up and move out, the way we entertain changes, our routines look different, yet we may still be surrounded by things that belonged to an earlier season of life. In this episode of Tidy Talk, we’re talking about what it looks like to create a home that supports the woman you are now. This isn’t about getting rid of everything or erasing the memories you’ve created there. It’s about looking at your home with fresh eyes and asking whether the things you’re storing, organizing, and taking care of still make sense for the life you’re living today. Sometimes the question isn’t, “What should I get rid of?” Maybe it’s simply, “What do I need my home to do for me now?” ✨ Reset Room is back August 29th! After a little summer break, our free monthly guided decluttering session is back. If there’s an area of your home that’s been frustrating you or you’re not sure where to begin, come share what’s feeling stuck and we’ll spend some time making progress together. 👉 Save your free spot in Reset Room: Other ways to connect with me: ✨ Join the Clutter-Free Circle Membership Where you'll find guidance, community and encouragement for your decluttering journey.Clutter-Free Circle ✨ Join my free Break Up With Clutter for Midlife + Empty Nest Women FB Community: Facebook Group ✨ Follow me on Instagram: suzzanne.cafiero ✨ Follow Sweet Spaces on Facebook: Facebook Page 🎙️ Enjoying Tidy Talk? | Ep. 13: More Than Just Stuff | 10 Aug 2026 | 00:10:54
Have you ever stopped to think about who might someday have to make decisions about the things in your home? It may not be the easiest question to think about, but it’s an important one—and this episode isn’t about getting rid of everything or leaving behind an empty house. It’s about being more intentional with the things we choose to keep and remembering that we have the opportunity to make those decisions ourselves. In this episode of Tidy Talk, I’m sharing how going through my mother-in-law’s home after more than 65 years of life there changed the way I look at my own belongings, along with a recent conversation with my youngest son about his decision to keep just one bin of memories. We’ll talk about why the stories behind our belongings matter, why our children may not know which things are truly meaningful to us, and how making some of these decisions now can be a gift not only to the people we love, but to ourselves. Because this isn’t about having less just for the sake of having less. It’s about knowing why you’re keeping something and choosing what truly deserves a place in your home and in your story. 💛 Ways to Connect ✨ Join the Clutter-Free Circle Membership Where you'll find guidance, community and encouragement for your decluttering journey.Clutter-Free Circle ✨ Join my free Break Up With Clutter for Midlife + Empty Nest Women FB Community: Facebook Group ✨ Follow me on Instagram: suzzanne.cafiero ✨ Follow Sweet Spaces on Facebook: Facebook Page 🎙️ Enjoying Tidy Talk? | Ep. 12: Enjoy the Rest of Your Summer | 03 Aug 2026 | 00:09:11
Did summer get away from you a little? Maybe you started the season with plans to organize the garage, tackle that overflowing closet, or finally get through those boxes you've been avoiding. But then life happened—in the best possible way. Vacations, family visits, beach days, backyard dinners, and making memories have a way of leaving little reminders of summer throughout our homes. In this episode of Tidy Talk, we're talking about why our homes often feel a little heavier by August, how clutter quietly builds one small thing at a time, and why a simple reset can help you stay connected to your home without feeling like you need an entire weekend to catch up. If you're feeling a little behind, this episode is your reminder that you don't need to do it all. Just take one small step...and then enjoy the rest of your summer. | Ep. 11: You Have My Permission | 27 Jul 2026 | 00:08:47
Do you ever feel like you have to finish everything before you're allowed to enjoy your day? The laundry has to be done. The dishes need to be put away. The house should be straightened first. In this episode of Tidy Talk, I'm sharing a conversation I had with my youngest son that made me realize how many of us live this way waiting until we're "caught up" before we give ourselves permission to rest, take a walk, meet a friend for lunch, or simply enjoy life. We'll talk about why that mindset keeps us stuck, how taking one small step can help you care for your home without letting it consume your day, and why your home is meant to support your life—not become your life. If you've ever felt guilty for taking a break while there was still work to be done, this episode is for you. 💛 Ways to Connect ✨ Join the Clutter-Free Circle MembershipWhere you'll find guidance, community and encouragement for your decluttering journey.Clutter-Free Circle ✨ Join my free Break Up With Clutter for Midlife + Empty Nest Women FB Community: Facebook Group ✨ Follow me on Instagram: suzzanne.cafiero ✨ Follow Sweet Spaces on Facebook: Facebook Page 🎙️ Enjoying Tidy Talk? | Ep. 10: What is clutter really costing you? | 20 Jul 2026 | 00:08:47
Most of us think about clutter in terms of space or the extra time it takes to clean. But the hidden costs often go much deeper. In this episode of Tidy Talk, we're talking about how clutter can quietly drain your time, energy, confidence, and peace of mind and why taking even one small step can begin giving those things back. If you've ever felt mentally exhausted by the constant reminders of what still needs to be done, this episode is for you. 💛 Ways to Connect ✨ Join the Clutter-Free Circle Membership ✨ Join my free Break Up With Clutter FB Community: Facebook Group ✨ Follow me on Instagram: suzzanne.cafiero ✨ Follow Sweet Spaces on Facebook: Facebook Page 🎙️ Enjoying Tidy Talk? | Ep. 09: Your Home Is Talking to You… Are You Listening? | 13 Jul 2026 | 00:13:11
Have you ever walked into a room and felt overwhelmed without really knowing why? In this episode of Tidy Talk, we're looking beyond the clutter to uncover what it might really be telling you. I'll share why clutter is often a symptom—not the problem—and how changes in life, routines, and seasons can leave our homes feeling out of sync. Instead of asking, "What's wrong with my house?" try asking, "What is my home trying to tell me?" That one simple question might change the way you look at decluttering forever. 💛 Ways to Connect ✨ Join the Clutter-Free Circle Membership ✨ Join my free Break Up With Clutter FB Community: ✨ Follow Sweet Spaces biz page on FB: 🎙️ Enjoying Tidy Talk?

Have you ever noticed how much easier it is to tackle something difficult when you don't have to do it alone? In this episode of Tidy Talk, I'm sharing a personal story that shaped the way I think about decluttering, along with what I've learned after years of working side by side with women in their homes. We'll talk about why support, encouragement, and community can make all the difference when you're feeling overwhelmed. If you've been trying to declutter on your own and feel like you're getting nowhere, this episode is a reminder that you don't have to carry it all by yourself. 🩷 Ways to Connect: ☀️ Join the Clutter-Free Circle Membership – Summer Session ☀️ ✨ Join my free Break Up With Clutter Facebook Community: ✨ Follow Sweet Spaces on Facebook: 🎙️ Enjoying Tidy Talk?
| Ep. 07: Why It's So Hard to Let Go of Gifts You Never Use | 29 Jun 2026 | 00:14:57 | |
Have you ever looked at a gift and thought, "I don't even use this... so why is it so hard to let it go?" In this episode of Tidy Talk, we're talking about the emotional side of gifts and why they can be some of the hardest things to declutter. We'll explore the guilt, the memories, and the meaning we attach to the things we've been given—and why letting go of an item doesn't mean letting go of the person who gave it. Do you find yourself rushing around trying to get everything done before vacation? In this episode of Tidy Talk, I'm sharing why I used to panic clean before every trip and the realization that completely changed how I think about decluttering. As summer gets underway, many of us feel pulled in two directions. We want to enjoy vacations, family time, and longer days, yet we also have a running list of projects and unfinished tasks waiting at home. We'll talk about why the goal isn't a perfect house before you leave, how clutter can quietly take up space in our minds, and why creating a home that feels calm and manageable matters long after vacation ends. In this episode of Tidy Talk, we're talking about legacy decluttering and why making intentional decisions now can be one of the greatest gifts we leave our loved ones. Inspired by my own experience helping my mother-in-law move from her home of more than 65 years, we'll explore the emotional side of inherited belongings, the stories attached to our things, and why decluttering isn't about getting rid of everything—it's about creating clarity. We’ll talk about decision fatigue, overwhelm, perfectionism, and why clutter can feel so emotionally heavy — especially when life already feels full. You’ll also hear why small, consistent steps often create more lasting change than exhausting all-or-nothing clean-outs that leave you drained and discouraged.
