| 113 - Deep Roots & Rich Soil: The Gift of Thresholds | 18 Nov 2025 | 00:14:54 | |
Today's episode is for you if you're in the midst of a threshold and wondering how you'll make it through. When certain parts of our identity are stripped away, we go into the fertile void. In that space, we may not be able to find the rhyme or reason why it's happening, but I promise that the darkness enriches us all the same. Join me as I dip into the past decade of my practice and offer reflections on how to feels to be in the middle and make it to the other side. I also share thoughts on pausing and the future of this show. Thank you for listening and for your heart. Connect with Sarah

| 014 - Mini Musings: Creating Conditions | 25 Apr 2023 | 00:32:25 | |
Welcome, friends. In today's episode, I'm reflecting on creating the conditions for more easeful nervous system regulation and how we know that healing is happening. I talk about the Activation Map by Peter Levine, which was updated into the "Three Directions Map," by Brigit Viskins to include looping. When activation occurs we may have the ability to distract and sooth back down to stabilization, the first direction. We may find ourselves looping in dysregulation, the second direction. Finally, there may be a possibility to go higher into activation without looping and come all the way down to the other side toward completion, integration, and extinction; this is the third direction. Creating conditions can help support us to move through the entire process. Creating conditions and integrating these new patterns may happen in small pieces over time. Join me as we explore our somatic experiences and the power of pause, choice, community, distance, self-care and boundary repair as conditions for well-being. Connect with Sarah Resources

| 012 - Mini Musings: Off the Pedestal | 11 Apr 2023 | 00:22:28 | |
Welcome, friends. In today's episode, I'm reflecting on the importance of taking our teachers and ourselves off the pedestal. I talk about my experiences as a yoga teacher, the grief of realizing our gurus are fallible, and a lesson I heard from Elizabeth Lesser over 13 years ago— that we're all just bozos on the bus. Join me as we release our heroes and come back to ourselves, so we can embrace paradox and step into the whole story. Connect with Sarah Resources | |||

| 010 - Mini Musings: Preparation | 28 Mar 2023 | 00:32:31 | |
Hello, everyone! Today, I will be talking about the Five Point Sequence, with a focus on the first point: Preparation. How does your past inform how you currently build preparation into your life? In this episode, I talk about the power of having a coherent preparation pattern, and how through somatic work we can go back on the timeline (timeline repair) and update and rewire patterning toward something that feels supportive and cohesive. In the end, I share my inquiry around biohacking for longevity. What is hyper-preparation (over-efforting control and forgetting to live life while you have it now), and what is coherent preparation? To support these thoughts I offer two poems, one by Max Ehrmann and the other by David Whyte.
In this episode you'll learn: • [02:10] The Five Point Sequence by Ray Castellino and used in Alchemical Alignment • [05:40] Building Preparation into life • [10:33] Trauma physiology and preparation. • [15:03] Doing timeline repair to rewire and update patterns in the nervous system. • [17:10] Is biohacking for longevity hyper preparation or just preparation? • [21:44] Desiderata, by Max Ehrmann. • [25:34] What to Remember When Waking, by David Whyte. • [30:26] Takeaways from this episode.

| 007 - Kate Northrup: A New Way of Living | 07 Mar 2023 | 01:05:06 | |
Today, I'm joined by Kate Northrup to talk about the threshold from ambitious, entrepreneurial women to becoming new moms. In our conversation, Kate shares how her priorities shifted across that threshold, from big productions to small sacred community. We also talk about the metaphorical winters in life - those times when ideas stop flowing. And we ask, how can we bundle ourselves up to relax into winter, instead of going into trauma physiology? Finally, we go into her most recent successful and sustainable work of relaxed money. Kate is highly intelligent, empathetic, kind, and has a great sense of humor. I know you'll love her as much as I do. Enjoy!

| 006 - Mini Musings: The Seasonal Qualities of Life | 28 Feb 2023 | 00:15:34 | |
Hello, everyone! Today's episode challenges the message that consistent production or having fun, exciting news to share year-round is normal. Hearing about seasonal energy may normalize how you are feeling instead of how you think you should feel. Since we ourselves are nature, it makes sense that we too will experience energies that reflect the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. This episode serves as a layer of integration for episode two where I spoke about the Cycles of Awareness map, and acts as preparation for episode seven with Kate Northrup as we speak quite a lot about how to prepare for and be in winter energy.

| 002 - Mini Musings: The Map that Inspired Threshold Moments | 07 Feb 2023 | 00:21:16 | |
In this Mini Musings episode I share with you the map that inspired Threshold Moments. The Cycle of Awareness map was created by Don and Amba Stapleton PhD. I share this map at the beginning of most of my trainings because I find it highly orienting. When I feel lost, this map helps me see where I've been, where I am and where I'm going. If only it could let me know how long I'll be in any one stage! Maybe grab an astrologer for that? I hope this is as helpful to you as it is to me. Peace and blessings, Sarah

| 112 - Awe is the Love Language of the Nervous System | 11 Nov 2025 | 00:14:54 | |
I once heard from a teacher that awe might be one of the first reflexes we have as babies: eyes wide, breath held in wonder, taking in the world for the very first time. I haven't found a study to prove it, but it feels true—the impulse to point, to name, to exclaim, "Look at that! And that over there!" The small hand tugging toward something marvelous, seemingly ordinary, yet entirely new. Where trauma narrows our world, awe expands it. It brings our breath into the back body, our perspective into wholeness. Awe is an invitation to pause and ask: is there anything ordinary that for a moment I could honor as extraordinary? In this episode, I share a personal story where I embraced awe and how it changed my perspective on everyday life. Connect with Sarah

Many of my clients come to me craving calm — slower mornings, quieter children, less chaos in their day-to-day. That sense of peace is a beautiful goal, but I also like to remind them: calm alone isn't the full picture of nervous system regulation. In this episode, we explore the pendulum between safety and activation — how to embrace life's natural rhythms, rather than resist them. I also offer reframes for resonance, aliveness, and the tidal waves of life. Tune in for an invitation to get curious about living in range. Life isn't just about calm. That's only one stop on the journey. Connect with Sarah
