Hopefully the global pandemic has given you more time to spend on video games, as it certainly has done that for Nbz and Bally. We kick things off with a big discussion on the latest and greatest from Nintendo, Animal Crossing New Horizons and how it has taken over our lives. The boys also checked out the demo for Bravely Default 2 and Bally closes out Ori & The Will of the Wisps. After the break we have a bunch of news from 2 Nintendo broadcasts namely the Nintendo Direct Mini and the Indie World presentation. Lots of news, lots of games and lots of time! | Episode 165 - Top 10 Most Important Nintendo Games Of The Decade | 16 Mar 2020 | 02:52:57
Hey everyone! I hope you're all staying safe out there, and hopefully you have time to listen to a big ol' podcast, because this is a long one! We welcome Bill from Nintendo Switchcraft and many other shows to the podcast to talk about the games we've been playing and other things! We start off with a discussion of E3 2020 being cancelled and what it means for the industry. We then dive headfirst into Ori & The Will of the Wisps, a metroidvania that seems to tick a lot of boxes. Bill then chats about Ibb and Obb, the original Doom on Switch an Apex Legends, before Nbz closes things out with WarioWare Gold! After the break we build a list of the most important games for Nintendo in the last 10 years! It's a fun discussion that brings in factors you might not think about in a simple "Best of the decade" list. If you want to check out Bill, you can find him here: https://www.twitch.tv/runjumpstomp And you can find the episode he did with Nbz talking about Metroid Fusion here (or by searching 143 Pixels on your podcast app): https://anchor.fm/143/episodes/NBZ---Metroid-Fusion-ebdp0u You can support us on Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/thisnintendolife, remember to send all your correspondence to our E-mail Address: ThisNintendoLife@gmail.com & Join our Discord: discord.gg/mC8wjBd

| Episode 162 - Nintendo Switch Report Card! | 03 Feb 2020 | 02:17:01 | |
Hey folks! This week we've been switching podcast hosts, so the feed is a little wonky at the moment with missing episodes. We discuss this at the start of the show and hopefully it should be fixed soon. In the meantime we have some Nintendo games to talk about! Kicking things off we get into a big discussion of Kentucky Route Zero, a game that has taken literally 7 years to come out. Nbz then chats about Thumper, a violent rhythm game that requires a lot of skill and dexterity. After the break we have a big old second segment going through our thoughts on the Switch after almost 3 years. We grade it in a number of categories including Hardware, 1st Party, 3rd Party, Marketing and Services!
