In this episode, DuDs and Jimbo discuss snapshot, 21w08a, for Minecraft 1.17, that tweaks cave sizes and generation further. Grimstone is now called Deepslate, and we now have Deepslate versions of Iron, Gold, Lapis, Redstone, and Diamond ores. Andesite has been changed out for Tuff, and the snapshot adds Smooth Basalt and Cobbled Deepslate. Also, we have a question from ChiefBigBear about which aspects of Minecraft DuDs and Jimbo thought they would hate when it was first announced but ended up really enjoying when it was eventually added to the game. Plus, a few random thoughts on 1.17 and Armour stands coming to life in Mending Minecraft.
In this episode, DuDs and Jimbo discuss snapshot, 21w07a, for Minecraft 1.17, that introduces Grimstone to the deepest parts of the underground, this new block can be made into a range of variants including Polished Grimstone, Grimstone Bricks, Grimstone Tiles and Chiselled Grimstone, with most of these having a slab, stair and wall option. Also, there have been some updates to world generation and ore distribution, the visuals of some ores and stone types have been changed and the Redstone tab in the creative inventory has been reordered. Plus, we have a question from ChiefBigBear about better options for campaigning in the overworld.
In this episode, DuDs and Jimbo discuss snapshot, 21w06a, for Minecraft 1.17, that introduces a new cave generation, called the Noise caves, which come in two flavours the Cheese caves and the Spaghetti caves. Aquifers will also now become part of the generation, this is an area within a cave that has a local water level. Also, there are some big changes to world height and some smaller changes to Mineshafts and Dripleafs. Plus, we have a question from RebelJC about the idea of turning Zombies into Husks to farm sand (if that was to become an item they would drop).
In this episode, DuDs and Jimbo discuss snapshot, 21w05a, for Minecraft 1.17, that introduces a range of new blocks which will be used inside of the upcoming Lush Cave biome, including azalea bushes, flowering azalea bushes, cave vines, glow berries, drip leaves, hanging roots, rooted dirt, moss, moss carpet and the spore blossom. Also, there is a range of changes including the names of the different states of copper block oxidation, drowned will now drop copper ingots instead of gold ingots and you can now make copper stairs and slabs on the Stonecutter. Plus, one of our patrons FragileRock has a question about which mods DuDs and Jimbo would like to be added to vanilla Minecraft.
In this episode, DuDs and Jimbo discuss the release of Beta 1.16.210.57 of Minecraft 1.17 for Xbox One, Windows 10 and Android that brings copper and lightning rods to Bedrock! In this episode, DuDs and Jimbo discuss snapshot, 21w03a, for Minecraft 1.17, that introduces the Glow Lichen which generates in caves and gives off a light level of seven. We also welcome the winner of the public vote from Minecraft Live 2020 to the game, The Glow Squid, this new variety of the Squid lights up the oceans and drops a new glow ink sac, which can be used to illuminate signs and item frames. Also, they take a look at the light sources in Minecraft, are there enough of them and what is the real reason we need them? Plus, Havoc71 from our discord has a question about crystals and the kinds of new items that could be made from them in the future.

Also, in honour of the Hoe finally becoming useful in the Nether update, they rank their current top five useless items in Minecraft.
