The coven - Addison Raven, Lacey Vane, Deb Clarke, and Layla Davis - show up at Gabe's home with a plan to see if the missing Maddie Tremaine is being kept somewhere in Carpe Noctem.

Gabriella and Eli Bailey travel to Carpe Noctem for the first time, and have an interesting excursion at the Al Dente restaurant.

Gabriella Bailey shares with her friends the story of her new job, the nearby town of Carpe Noctem - full of vampire cosplayers, and her time at the spring equinox meeting fellow witches. Being new to the area she got to hear a lot of strange stories about the Carpe Noctem and the forest she where she works.
