A pioneering explorer, Lucy Shepherd recently returned from a world-first 50-day expedition across the uncharted Kanaku Mountains in Guyana. Over the last decade, she has completed a series of pioneering expeditions in jungles, mountains and polar regions. Lucy is a wonderful storyteller and has a big future in exploration.

Chaz is the 2021 Explorer of the Year, as awarded by the Scientific Exploration Society. His ongoing project ‘The Wildest Journey’ is all about his journeys along Africa's wildest rivers with an aim to raise awareness for wildlife conservation and anti poaching. In 2016/17 Chaz spent 137 days walking over 3000km from source to sea along the Zambezi River. He has also completed world-first expeditions on the Gambia River and in Madagascar.

Nick Butter is the first and only person to run a marathon

in every country in the world. He travelled for 674 days,

running two or three marathons in two or three countries, every

week, for 96 weeks – a world record. This impressive feat came after more than 44,000 km. of previous

crazy expeditions, years of hard training and determination plus

plenty of set-backs. And he does not feel ready to stop yet.
