Numbers: Finding a Way in the Wilderness

lundi 3 novembre 2025Durée 10:27

Numbers: Finding a Way in the Wilderness

What does Numbers have to do with everyday family discipleship?

In this week’s episode of The Wholehearted Households Podcast, host Alex Blount introduces us to the book of Numbers, relating to the ways we might find ourselves in our own proverbial wilderness.

Our Bible spotlight focuses on the priestly blessing given to Moses, then Aaron, and what this blessing means for us as people of God.

Then, our discipleship nugget equips your family to share high and low moments with one another in the presence of God. Just as the Israelites call out to God through their range of experiences and emotions, we too can share our highs and lows with God.

Finally, our spiritual practice invites you to reflect on your own experiences of being in the wilderness and to offer your worries and burdens to God through the prayer of Compline.

Wherever you listen, may you and your family be blessed by this episode as you seek to follow Jesus with your whole heart.

Leviticus: Laws for Loving God and Your Neighbor

lundi 27 octobre 2025Durée 10:50

What does Leviticus have to do with everyday family discipleship?

In this week’s episode of The Wholehearted Households Podcast, host Helen Lee introduces us to the book of Leviticus, reflecting on how rules and regulations can actually be tools for loving God and our neighbor.

Our Bible spotlight focuses on two key verses repeated several times throughout Leviticus. We learn why these verses are significant to God’s Law, how they relate to God’s character, and what implications they have for the Israelite people.

Then, our discipleship nugget highlights the law of loving your neighbor as yourself, equipping you to identify who your neighbors are and practical ways you can love them well.

Finally, our spiritual practice invites you to into a moment of intercessory prayer. Through Christ, we have become members of the royal priesthood ourselves, and through the practice of intercession, we model the tradition of the Levitical priests in offering prayers to God on behalf of others.

Wherever you listen, may you and your family be blessed by this episode as you seek to follow Jesus with your whole heart.
