The Wellness Way's 2nd Anniversary: The Doctor of YOUR Future is YOU
Change of schedule. To mark The Wellness Way's 2nd anniversary, on June 20th, we are moving the podcast and newsletter to Thursdays! In celebration of this incredible milestone, today, we will take you right back to the beginning of why, when and how I started all this.
For the newcomers to the podcast and my work, I am your host, author of The Natural Wellness Journal and The Wellness Way: Your Natural Health Systems interactive ebook. An EFT/Matrix Reimprinting Practitioner and Soma Breathwork Meditation Coach. But most importantly, I am a survivor of a near-death medical procedure, years of PTSD, and addiction to opioids and alcohol whilst 'coping' with grief, resulting in a range of chronic illnesses including a tumour in my throat. I then discovered personalised natural medicine, the associated miracles of the body and power of the mind.
Since then, I have worked tirelessly to teach people all of the things that I learnt about the body's ability to heal itself naturally.
Against all odds, distraught at what I was seeing in the world, I wrote and published The Natural Wellness Journal with Balboa Press in December 2020 after just 2.5 months of writing day and night.
In June 2022, I launched The Wellness Way with Philly J Lay podcast with no knowledge or experience. But despite this, the podcast has had 14 x #1 on Apple Podcast Charts and catapulted into the top 2% globally.
I have been privileged to interview some of my health heroes in natural health on the show, from Zach Bush MD, Dr. Bruce Lipton, and of course, the incredible Barbara O'Neill whom I hosted for my first-ever LIVE in London event on June 11th 2024. More of this next week.

Sam Neffendoff | EFT and meta consciousness (alternative healing)

Today’s guest is a man that I've had the privilege to train with in EFT and meta consciousness, Sam Nestor. His journey has led him to move away from normal, traditional allopathic medicine and to find a different way of healing and teaching other people how to heal themselves.

- Sam, despite his anarchistic nature, fell into the conformist life. He worked in financial services for a company called actually ‘Standard Life’. But it wasn’t the standard life that Sam wanted for himself after years of misery in this industry. - Sam and his wife wanted to have children and started trying to have a baby and nothing was happening. He got hit with the news that he was very subfertile and it would be almost impossible for him to have a child naturally, which was like a massive shock. - Sam used EFT to get out of the work that he was doing as a financial advisor. He used it to keep calm and grounded for negotiations of the company separating and everything working the best for everybody in quite a tough situation.
- Meta consciousness is a philosophy of working with the foundation of German New Medicine, not an evolution of it.
- German New Medicine is the awareness that our organism possesses inexhaustible creativity and remarkable self-healing capabilities. It is the recognition that each cell of our body is endowed with a biological wisdom we share with all living beings.

Dr Sam White| Free Speech in Healthcare is REPRESSED

I am truly honoured to have Dr. Sam White on the podcast today. Dr. Sam was a doctor for 18 years and a GP for 10 years, and he decided in 2021 that he had to stand up to what was going on in the world. He’s on The Wellness Way to talk about his views on the medical profession, free speech, and where he thinks our healthcare system is going wrong.

“Dr Sam Graduated from Cardiff University with a degree in medicine in 2004. He is a UK based GP focused on Functional Medicine. He is a member of The International Lyme & Associated Disease Society and The institute of Functional Medicine.
Initially on a path toward becoming a surgeon, Dr Sam undertook rotations in Emergency Medicine, Trauma & Orthopaedics, ENT, Breast & Vascular surgery. As part of his training to become a GP, he subsequently went on to complete rotations in Paediatric & Neonatal medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Psychiatry before further 18 months as a GP registrar.

Niraj Naik| What is Gratitude Meditation? How it WILL Transform You

Today I have another really exciting guest, Niraj Naik. This is the man that I wake up with every morning, but we just won't tell his wife that. Why do I wake up with him? Because the first thing I have to do when I wake in the morning is the Soma Breath work Morning Gratitude Meditation and this has transformed my life. Dr Perry Nickelston | The Meaning of Pain- AVOID Chasing Pain (Isolated Healing Doesnt Exist)

There were times in my journey that I thought I'd gone mad and then you find people that make you realise that you're not alone, today’s guest has done that for me. Dr Perry Nicholson, who I came across on Instagram about 18 months ago. I have to say, this man just blew my mind. I asked myself why is every doctor not talking like this man does? He's quite phenomenal. Listen in to hear his story and his thoughts on chasing pain.

- No system in the body ever works alone, never gets injured alone, never heals alone. There's no such thing as an isolated injury in the body. There's no such thing as isolated healing.
- you might go to a homoeopath because you have something like gout and you might get a completely different treatment to another person because they're looking at the whole system, what's going on in your body from all different areas.
- Chasing pain means that you point to where pain is, now it's in my right shoulder today, then can you rub my left hip? So you're just chasing this thing all over the place as opposed to asking, why is the body sending this protective signal? And what does pain mean anyway? So to Dr Perry, pain is a request for change.
- Dr Perry believes, unfortunately we're thriving, but we're getting in our own camps and we're trying to kill the other tribe. So it's not a communal tribe together and then that's part of the stress response or survival responses. So you stay with what you feel comfortable with and then you don't go near what you don't feel comfortable with. And that's where people become more polarised.
- Every autoimmune disease is inflammation. It's just manifesting itself in different names for different people. So inflammation is the culprit, but would manifest it as fibromyalgia. Somebody else may manifest it as celiac disease. Because that just depends on your genetic makeup, your history and your vulnerability in your body.
- Breathing from the diaphragm is so good for your body because it moves your organs around and stimulates your vagus nerve and also increases blood flow in the abdomen. People with vagus nerve issues have poor blood flow to the gut because the signal travels down as well as up. 80% of the signal moves up and 20% moves down.
