On the final VANcast, Farhan Laji from TSN and the Athletic's Harman Dayal welcome original VANcast hosts Thomas Drance of the Athletic and Jeff Paterson of RinkwideVancouver.com and contributor to Sekers and Price. The quartet look back on four years of the VANcast, including piloting a podcast through the pandemic and then the bubble and having to change the name of the pod, early on after the Canucks organization balked at the name Nuckscast.
Farhan, Harman, Thomas and Jeff take a look at this years edition of the Canucks with training camp beginning this week, newly minted captain Quinn Hughes, Elias Petterson's plans for his contract extensions, and newcomers to the group, including Ian Cole, Pius Suter, Teddy Blueger and Carson Soucey, plus full seasons from recently acquired Anthony Beauvillier and Filip Hornek for head coach Rick Tocchet and Harm provides an update on the Canucks prospects tournament from Penticton.

On this post game edition of the VANcast, Farhan and Thomas breakdown the Canucks 5-4 overtime win vs the Sharks in San Jose. The guys discuss Tyler Myers and Travis Hamonic being on the ice in the final seconds and Myers gaff which led to a last second goal by the Sharks to send it to overtime before J.T. Miller scored in extra time to win it for Vancouver..
The guys debate if the Canucks on ice issues have been fixed since Bruce Boudreau took over as head coach. The negatives though continue to outweigh the positives with defence, power-play, penalty kill and the sporadic play of Nils Höglander, Vasili Podkolzin and Jason Dickinson taking centre stage over the upbeat general vibe of the team, slightly better 5 on 5 play, an improving Elias Pettersson the addition of Conor Garland and Kyle Burroughs and a defined, dependable 4th line.
Plus the guys discuss possible trade chips for the Canucks, including Brock Boeser, Hamonic, Tucker Poolman, Dickinson and J.T. Miller.

It sucks to suck, as slow starts continue to hamper the Canucks

Patrik Allvin introduced as the new General Manager of the Vancouver Canucks

Farhan and Drancer return with a new VANcast on a very busy day in Vancouver, after team president Jim Rutherford introduced Patrik Allvin as the new General Manager. The guys discuss what Allvin brings to the organization, the hiring of Émilie Castonguay as assistant general manager, and what other moves Rutherford might have up his sleeve as the Canucks continue to rebuild not only the team, but the front office as well.
