Ep. 020 - Sean Donnelly - Professional Comedian13 Aug 202401:01:52

🎙️ Get ready for a truly special episode of the Value of Values podcast, where we venture beyond the business and coaching worlds into the heart of the entertainment field. 🎭

In this episode, we sit down with an extraordinary guest—a professional artist who isn't just a master of his craft but also unafraid to show vulnerability right from the start.  This conversation goes deep, and it stays there, offering insights that resonate far beyond the world of comedy.

Sean Donnelly is a seasoned comedian; he shares not just the laughs but also the values that have carried him through tough times as he says “tough business…easy job!”.  We delve into the stories that shaped his artistry, exploring how early experiences continue to influence his work today.  We all evolve, but what keeps you grounded and sane in that evolution?  How do you stay true to yourself in a world that constantly challenges your identity?

This episode is filled with wisdom, humor, and profound reflections on life and why his dad would say “it’s all bullsh*t” and why that resonates today more than ever!  We talk about the power of saying "NO"—a crucial skill for protecting your energy, especially in the demanding world of stand-up comedy.  Despite the "lone wolf" nature of a comedian's life, there's an incredible sense of community among these artists, bound together by shared values of hard work, respect, and integrity.

I’m incredibly grateful for the time we shared in this conversation, and while I could have easily made it a two-parter, it’s too good not to experience in full context.  What our guest shares isn't just relevant to stand-up comedy—it's applicable to all aspects of life.

PLUS, toward the end we get into some real CRAZY stuff…not sure if its controversial, conspiracy based, scienced based, quantum entanglements etc… – but this is one we will revisit for our next conversation!

Tune in for an episode that will leave you inspired, entertained, and reflective. 🎧✨

Ep. 017 - MOST SPECIAL EPISODE - THE KIDS15 Jun 202401:04:02

❤️ Welcome to a truly special and emotionally resonant episode of the Value of Values podcast. 🎙️

Today, I'm sharing the most important episode I've ever recorded—an episode that fills me with pride, inspiration, and love. In this conversation, I sit down with my kids, who have all flown the nest (temporarily).  At the time of the recording, Myles is in London (college), Izabel is Delaware (college) and Hannah in Croatia (study abroad junior year of high school).  So, an international flare to boot!  We explore a topic close to my heart: CORE VALUES and we throw in some cultural impacts as well!

🌟I asked them what they thought core values were and, more personally, what they believed my core values to be. It was a vulnerable moment for me, as I had no idea how they would respond or if they even understood what I meant. But to my amazement and joy, they not only grasped the concept but also shared profound insights that showed their remarkable emotional intelligence.

🌍✨ Our conversation revealed that the younger generations are well ahead of the game, with a deep understanding of values that will shape a brighter, more connected future for humanity. It gives me great hope in this world that seems to want to give us challenging news all the time.  This episode is longer than usual, but every moment is a testament to the growth, wisdom, and love that we as a family, and as people, continue to nurture.

Settle in and join us for a heartfelt journey that will leave you inspired and hopeful for the future. This is a conversation I will treasure forever, and I am honored to share it with you.🎙️💕
