Damien returned to his quarters to self-flagellate. In speaking with Avarice, the Judge learned that Talos Ivo was a heretic in the eyes of the Mechanicus because of their rules forbidding experimentation on Gellar fields, but he is not technically a heretic according to the Lex Imperialis. Brother Solomon was left alone to find peace in the words of his truncated bible. The Lucky Strike entered the warp.

Solomon took it upon himself to protect Talos throughout the chaos, and Talos’s guileless charm may have helped forge a burgeoning friendship with the brother. Judge Rex made it onboard after sustaining some serious injuries, and as they took off, Damien hurled warp fire at the refuelling station, blowing up the Crimson Brotherhood’s ships and their chance to mount their planned assault in the planetary war. The band made it off Arcturus IV alive with the target, their first mission a resounding success.
