#34 - Everywhere I've Ever Lived I'm a Visitor feat. Phil Wang22 May 201900:57:27

Born in Stoke-on-Trent, raised in Malaysia, 2 years at boarding school in Brunei and then doing his A-Levels in Bath before attending Cambridge. Phil's been a child of The Empire pretty much the whole time but he doesn't feel like he particularly belongs anywhere.

We chat about quitting smoking, Australianisms, the growing Asian comedy audience and his first ever gig doing Russell Peters' jokes at a high school drama night. Terrifying.

If you're a fan of people chatting about Britain, get around his new show Wangsplaining which is streaming now on BBCRadio4. He's also got a great podcast with our first ever guest and good friend Pierre Novellie called BudPod (@TheBudPod)!

We talk about living on a canal boat in London, preconceptions about English people, being from Hove-actually rather than Brighton and where he could see himself living as a working comedian.

#32 - 96% Voted for Independence, it wasn't Brexit feat Kae Kurd03 May 201901:47:36

Apparently if I was Kurdish I’d be called Danny Tash, which is such a strong nickname I’m thinking of moving. This week I sat down with comedian and podcaster Kae Kurd (@kaekurd)!

We talk a bit of Kurdish history, including how they’d really, really like to be an independent state, drill music making it to Australia, how Joe Rogan is The Tonight Show in 2019, start his career in the urban circuit and growing up in Brixton. We also chat a bit about how difficult it is to explain Western Depression to Kurdish parents.

You can catch Kae at comedy clubs all over the UK and never at Edinburgh Fringe, and hear him weekly on the Quotas Full podcast.

#31- In Russia, Punks love American Stuff feat. Olga Koch25 Apr 201901:28:09

Jerk Offs, Daniel is finally well enough to have some people over for a chat and we’ve got a cracking episode to kick things off with Russia’s Olga Koch (@rocknrolga)!

I think Russia’s been a mystery to a lot of people since the Iron Curtain, unless you got World Cup tickets, and who better to explain a bit that someone who grew up there before moving directly to Team USA! Well, it was the UK but an American school before going to college in the America.

We talk about Russia’s land mass being too huge to protest, how oligarch’s got rich off vouchers, Daniel getting full marks for a really racist drawing of Russia when he was 11, Rasputin’s big dong, loving the Chicago Bulls and bribes… lots of and lots of bribes. Oh, and getting the random bomb swab on every flight as a Russian!

Olga’s got previews coming up and a new show at Edinburgh, get it all at her website https://www.rocknrolga.com/

#30 - Call Ireland Potato Disneyland I Don't Care feat. Michael Legge10 Apr 201901:19:36

We’ve got a real treat this week with Michael Legge (@michaellegge) popping in, excellent comedian, team captain on the 'Do The Right Thing' podcast, television host & retired thief. We talk Northern Ireland because it’s about time isn’t it?

Michael grew up in a small town that sounds like Newtown-Ornes but could be anything really (I couldn’t catch it over the hour) full of racists, and skipped university to move to London 30 years ago and begin working for Northern Ireland Media during the end of The Troubles (fun fact: they started when Michael was born and ended when he left). Growing up Catholic in a Protestant town, not understanding Loyalists, and joking about loving the IRA on stage.

There’s also a great chat about people saying they’re Irish, especially Americans with shamrock hats who’ve never been and don’t know a single sentence of Beckett. Stop it.

All Michael's live dates and previous shows can be found on his website, michaellegge.bandcamp.com

#29 - Lee Nelson had Kids Way Before I Did feat. Simon Brodkin02 Apr 201901:29:29

This week’s guest let’s me cover a couple of bases at once, with character comedian Simon Brodkin (@SimonBrodkin) aka Lee Nelson joining me!

We kick things off talking about being Jewish on stage and off in the UK, a dash of Seinfeld history and then his past career as a Doctor in Manchester. He made a clean break and decided to become a character comedian - no overlap, never done a gig, not even a play at high school - and moved to London to get it done. And he did it almost immediately, it’s an insane story.

We also talk about how a North Londoner from a comfortable background can transform believably into Lee Nelson (@RealLeeNelson), a cheeky lad from South London wearing polo shirts and hats (hint: it's all about watching people on the tube).

Simon is still touring as Lee Nelson with dates on his website http://leenelson.com/ and you can catch him performing as himself around London's comedy clubs.

If you enjoyed the podcast pleas shoot us 5 stars and subscribe, you can follow us on Twitter @TheUnionJackOff and email us on theunionjackoff@gmail.com

#28 - Playing Race Cards feat. Dane Baptiste 25 Mar 201901:45:01

With less certainty around #Brexit than ever, we’re taking a quick break and heading back to South London - with Dane Baptiste (@DaneBaptweets)!

Dane’s parents are first generation immigrants from Grenada, and we get into it with Anime, fighting trolls online, safe spaces in comedy - a bizarre interlude into knot tying knowledge - Caribbean country hierarchy and going to Grammar school surrounded by gang activity. He also tells me what he thinks about Australia as a regular on the Australian comedy festival circuit.

Dane Baptiste has his own podcast called ‘Dane Baptiste Questions Everything’ and he's also a regular on Quotas Full

Get around The Union Jack Off on Twitter, and don't get forget to rate us, subscribe and tell a friend!

Daniel Muggleton (@danmuggleton) is doing a work in progress on April 5th and Australian Comedians / Dope Comedy is back April 7th with Steen Raskopoulos.

#27 - Romanians Look 10 Years Older feat. Radu Isac14 Mar 201901:32:37

The only country in the Brexit series that I haven’t visited… Romania! Best kept secret? Country still finding it’s feet? I got no idea, but Romanian comedian Radu Isac saves me the trip.

Radu Isac (@raduisac) started performing in Romanian before transitioning into English while living in LA, a place he planned to live forever before one of the most brutal VISA issues I’ve ever heard. He grew up in Romania’s version of Hull just after the fall of the Soviet Union when it was pretty much lawless, having good wifi and no plumbing, and why Eastern European cuisine is all about pork.

He also explains to Daniel the difference between Romani People and Romanian people (HINT: very different, totally different).

Radu’s at Edinburgh Fringe in 2019 with his show ‘Good Excuses for Sociopaths’ and you can keep up with other dates on his website.

Daniel Muggleton has his special out 'Let's Never Hang Out' and where to find him is all available on his website www.danielmuggleton.com

#26 - Germans don't have Sex Behind Bins feat. Christian Schulte-Loh05 Mar 201901:32:22

We’ve got a HUGE guest this week continuing our #Brexit theme, seriously he’s the tallest working comedian in the UK, it’s Germany’s Christian Schulte-Loh (@GermanComedian)!

He’s spent a decade between the German & UK comedy scenes, and we chat about the Dutch-German football rivalry is the real one, they just let the English feel included, his past life as an erotic game-show producer, getting paid for his 2nd ever gig, winning King Gong at The Comedy Store and the peace-keeping role of the European Union - and Britain’s importance to that.

Christian's website with all his social media, video and tour dates is here: https://www.germancomedian.com/

Get around The Union Jack Off on Twitter @TheUnionJackOff, we'd love to hear from you - you can also find us on Facebook. If you get you in touch we promise to reply, and please do give us a rating as it all helps us grow and lets us know what you think of the pod.

#25 - Dutch People don't Smoke Weed feat. Micky Overman27 Feb 201901:26:13

We continue our #Brexit themed chat with European comedians and I sit down with the incredibly Dutch Micky Overman (@. She says she’s very Dutch, I have no idea what that means but the cool thing is we get to find out together.

She studied in Amsterdam she says that all tourists have the same story, finally tells me what the Dutch national cuisine is - think sandwiches, but incredibly plain - and that Flemish and Dutch are the SAME LANGUAGE! Who knew? Them, apparently.

We also get into the Dutch colonial history and what Brexit means for her - although, she’s got an English boyfriend so there’s always Plan B: marriage.

Catch Micky live at festivals around the UK, all information is on her website www.mickyoverman.com

Also another Australian Comedians / Dope Comedy Sunday March 3rd in London, grab those tickets here!

Daniel Muggleton (@danmuggleton) always loves to hear from you, or follow @TheUnionJackOff on Twitter for updates about guests and episode and live events! If you feel like giving us some stars on iTunes that would be great too - cheers!

#24 - Grexit vs Brexit feat. George Zacharopoulos 20 Feb 201901:40:57

March 29 is approaching which means Brexit time, so I've decided to get a bunch of my EU comedy mates around and chat to them about what it means. Kicking things off as they tend to historically, it's Greek comedian George Zacheropoulos (@GreekComedian)!

He flew to the UK 3 days after 9/11, lived here for half his life as a Greek Geordie (read: in Newcastle-upon-Tyne) and now should be able to stay regardless of what happens.

After wading through through a (potentially) offensive discussion about offence, we get into the meat of it with George’s avoiding compulsory military service, and becoming a comedian instead of a biochemist.

A chance meeting made him consider studying in the UK, a chance friendship kept him from transferring back to Greece and how Greece invented Brexit with Grexit in 2015. There’s also a great tale from his appearance on BBC1 talking to Andrew O’Neil about the financial crisis and literally smashing plates.

The comedian we were talking about at the start is Daliso Chaponda who's great and definitely from Malawi, which is nowhere near Guinea and I'm an idiot.

Australian Comedians / Dope Comedy at Angel Comedy February 23rd 4pm, featuring past guest Alice Fraser - you can grab tickets here.

Follow @TheUnionJackOff on Twitter for any updates, or you can get in touch with Daniel Muggleton on Twitter/Instagram @danmuggleton.

#23 - Kangaroos are Assholes feat. John Hastings12 Feb 201901:44:32

On the podcast this week is Canadian & pale man John Hastings (@thejohnhastings). Growing up in Ottawa, the Canberra of Canada in a political family, he’s called the London home for the last 6 years but now he’s giving it a red hot go in LA. Come listen to why he left the UK (hint: it destroyed him).

We talk about drink driving, Brexit, a bit of world history, kangaroos, and Dan doesn’t know where celebrities are from again. He is the most fired up about Brexit out of any guest so far so if you’re at all political - strap in!

John’s got an album coming out real soon - he’s also got a wrestling podcast with previous guest Dylan Gott AND he'll be in Australia doing shows very soon. All that info is on his website www.thejohnhastings.com

We FINALLY have a Twitter account @TheUnionJackOff so give that a follow, and get in touch with us. Otherwise you can still get at Daniel Muggleton @danmuggleton on Instagram & Twitter.

#22 - We Auditioned for Spielberg feat. Phil Nichol (Part 2)08 Feb 201901:00:59

The second part is here! Phil Nichol's chat is turning to Corky and the Juice Pigs and being the next big thing in LA. That's right, he was the toast of Las Angeles and on MadTV.

Phil Nichol (@philnichol) kicked things off with a punk rock approach to comedy. Turning up to Just For Laughs and Melbourne International Comedy Festival without a show, smashing it on the street and then ending up on TV with sell-out shows. Not a bad effort.

The chat is a little heavy on the comedy, but Phil's had such an interesting career I'm sure you'll still enjoy it. He won the Edinburgh Comedy Award, met the Queen, was on MadTV - and he's still saying he's not sure he's had a good career. Such a humble dude.

Corky and the Juice Pigs on MadTV performing 'REMember'

He's got a weekly room on Tuesday at The Tap Room Islington with great acts trying new material, you can follow it @room_delivery

Also, The Union Jack Off finally got a Twitter which you can follow @TheUnionJackOff - or get at Daniel Muggleton on Twitter & Instagram @danmuggleton.

#21 - I took Mum to meet the Queen feat. Phil Nichol (Part 1)05 Feb 201901:10:57

Oh my goodness it's an episode on time, and our very first two part episode because the guest is Canada's Phil Nichol!

Phil Nichol (@PhilNichol) was born in Scotland, he grew up in Canada, overcame a stutter to become a member of one of the most successful comedy bands in the world - Corky and the Juice Pigs. But the band's in Part 2, for the minute we talk about his theatre trained voice, trying to impress incredibly religious parents and Canadian & Australian place names.

#20 - London Calling feat. Adam Bloom03 Feb 201901:32:25

Sorry for the delay, I've been a bit sick but this episode is worth the wait... ADAM BLOOM!

Adam (@adambloomie2) is a veteran of the UK comedy circuit & television for the last 25 years who's never stopped evolving his act, his joke writing is legendary and he's basically an encyclopaedia of comedy wisdom.

I got him on because he grew up in the suburbs of London, moved to Soho, then to Green Park and finally to Zone 7 - before getting back in the mix in Crouch End. He's the first comedian I've met who won't leave London even though he's got 2 kids. He rocked up wearing a flat cap, smart watch and vaping - we get to that - and I ask him why Zone 7 didn't work for him.

Chatting gentrification he mentions A Tribe Called Quest - We The People.

Also the Wikipedia page for Jewish populations around the world is here.

Catch Adam live, or watch his videos online - everything at his website http://www.adam-bloom.com

American, Jewish & Complaining about European Bacon feat. Steve Hofstetter05 Dec 201901:59:51

Episode 55 - The Union Jack Off with Daniel Muggleton

Australian comedian Daniel Muggleton interviews stand-ups from around the world about where they grew up, moving to the United Kingdom and what they don't like about the British.

This week's guest is American comedian Steve Hofstetter (@SteveHofstetter)!

I've just finished supporting Steve on a European tour and we talk about his upbringing in the most diverse borough in Queens, New York, some American chat and then dive into stereotyping European people - sorry, Belgium. Clothing sizes are different, bathroom light switches and Thanksgiving lunches of gumbo & turkey in Poland. Great chat with a top bloke.

Check out Steve's incredibly popular YouTube here: www.youtube.com/stevehofstetter

#19 - Stay Classy, Britain feat. Pierre Novellie25 Jan 201900:42:17

Jerk Offs, sorry about the delay on this I've been on the road in Europe. As a special treat, here's a chat I had with my good friend Pierre Noveille (@pierrenovellie)!

Pierre was supposed to be a regular host on this podcast before he got too busy crushing it, so this is a little excerpt from our second episode where he talks all about class. That's right, CLASS! Poly vs. Posh, living in the Tower of London, we touch on it all the time but this is still the most extensive chat I've had about it. It's not like anywhere else, and Pierre explains it better than most so definitely listen!

Pierre is doing a bunch of work in progress spots around London, and a run at the Soho in April it's all on his website www.pierrenovellie.com

Want to get in touch with me? Live performances, my special and email are all at my website www.danielmuggleton.com or you can grab me on Twitter/Instagram @danmuggleton.

#18 - Adelaide to Edinburgh feat. Ro Campbell16 Jan 201901:24:45

Australia's Ro Campbell (@rocampbellcomic) comes on the podcast - with his notes - to bully me about not watching enough Aussie cinema.

The 90’s as the highpoint of English culture, Australia’s history of race riots, teaching English in Nepal, being a famous sign-spinner in Edinburgh, eating with Dave Grohl as a roadie and his Mum, becoming Scottish Comedian of the Year when you’re not Scottish, playing pranks on tour with Little Britain and doing comedy in 38 different countries.

You can read Ro’s articles on his time as a roadie among other things on his website www.rocampbell.com and catch him live in February in Malaysia, Singapore & Queensland, Australia.

Also here's Norman Gunston at Gough Whitlam's Dismissal. Do you agree with Ro that he's the original Ali G?

As always if you're enjoying The Union Jack Off, please subscribe and give us a glowing review, and get in touch with Daniel Muggleton @danmuggleton or check out his special 'Let's Never Hang Out' available now at his website www.danielmuggleton.com

#17 - Running like a Welshman feat. Robin Morgan07 Jan 201901:18:58

On the podcast this week is Welsh husband, DILF and funny boy Robin Morgan (@robinjaymorgan)! For those of you who don’t know, I like hating Wales - so do many English people - so I got the most likeable person I could find to sell it to me.

I talk to Robin about how he should be Christian, his parents meeting in Brighton, getting into comedy through tending bar at a comedy club, and plenty of good Welsh stuff (naming celebrities, national history, how they fit into the UK, Family Guy's Welsh racism - all of it!).

In addition to comedy, Robin's also a very in-demand writer for television with a couple of pilots on the go, you can check out on BBC iPlayer in February - keep up with everything he's doing at www.robinjmorgan.co.uk

#16 - One Year a Brit feat. Daniel Muggleton04 Jan 201900:32:16

Happy 2019 to everybody, we'll call this a soft open as it's just a quick chat this week before we get back to it on Monday with a guest and more UK talk.

I thought after year it's probably worth sitting down and having a chat about what's changed and what hasn't after living in London for a full year. It's a bit of ramble, but I manage to get through some thoughts on: accents, the food, the weather, drinking culture, London itself and a couple of things guests have said that I've taken to heart.

Thanks for listening in 2018, I promise even bigger/more interesting guests in 2019! If you've got any suggestions or questions, please get in touch at @danmuggleton on Twitter & Instagram.

As mention, Australian Comedians / Dope Comedy runs in London the first Sunday of every month with the next show January 6th, you can buy tickets right here.

My special 'Let's Never Hang Out' comes out January 8th (album January 11th), you can pre-order it at www.danielmuggleton.com and tickets to the launch at 2Northdown in Kings Cross are available here.

#15 - New Zealand is Loyal because it's Tiny feat. Jarred Christmas 28 Dec 201801:32:31

Merry Christmas JerkOffs, or however you celebrated the holiday. Sorry for the delay but we're back with a banger.

Jarred Christmas (@jarredchristmas) joins me, a good name for a good man. One of the first comedians from New Zealand to move to the UK, seen all over the TV and live circuit, he’s one of the good guys and a pleasure to chat to about how it used to be moving over here.

He kicks off with a quick review of Aquaman (hint: he didn’t buy it), then talks his Dad never taking a sick day, having a rusty haka, seeing Adam Hills, Adam Bloom, Boothby Graffoe, Johnny Vegas & Mighty Boosh in one day at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, being a charity mugger before people hated them, why Australia is too big to be loyal, the rise of Flight of the Conchords, how being a Kiwi helped him in the UK and getting a parking ticket to listen to the All Blacks.

Also, I was completely wrong about Sam Neill, he’s from New Zealand and still lives in New Zealand. My bad.

Please do leave a review or get in touch, I'm on Twitter & Instagram @danmuggleton or you can email me at muggletondaniel@gmail.com

Next Australian Comedians / Dope Comedy is January 6th, and you can buy tickets here - and my special launch party is January 8th and you can get tickets here

#14 - In Newcastle everyone's 'Pet' feat. Lauren Pattison17 Dec 201801:20:51

Queen of the Geordie Shore, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne’s favourite daughter, Lauren Pattison (@laurenpattison). A current London resident planning her escape, despite having fallen for a London fella - she’s one of the fastest rising comedians in the UK, have a listen.

Lauren and I cover all the hot button topics issues such as: Australians loving Geordie Shore, bouncers at Gregg’s, calling people darling to be polite, budgeting, university class warfare, a nursery in her high school, budgeting, and how Katherine Ryan helped get her started in London.

Check out a full list of performances for Lauren's very, very acclaimed show 'Peachy' on her website www.lauren-pattison.com and her debut show 'Lady Muck' is streaming on NextUp Comedy.

#13 - We call Whitechapel 'Brownmosque' feat. Eshaan Akbar10 Dec 201801:19:53

On #TheUnionJackOff this week we’ve got half Bangladeshi, half Pakistani, formerly Muslim and all-London Eshaan Akbar (@eshaanakbar). Who's more exotic to rural British comedy audiences? Eshaan, definitely.

First off Dan gets schooled on how Bangladesh's independence from Pakistan was almost entirely ignored by the media because the USA was too busy fighting Communism in Vietnam. [The wars do overlap, even though we decide they don't on the podcast - sorry!]

Then we get stuck in: auditioning for the Call To Prayer in a mosque, losing your virginity in a house that you own, the national speed limit and dual carriageways, not being the right type of Asian for the usual narrative, and being a good enough leg spinner to get Australian citizenship.

Eshaan's show 'Prophet like it's Hot' is on at the Soho Theatre, London in February. Tickets can be bought right here.

Get in touch with Daniel on Twitter/Instagram @danmuggleton, or his website www.danielmuggleton.com - if you want to pre-order his special as he mentioned up top... PLEASE DO IT!

#12 - Deliveroo to the Tower of London feat. Tom Houghton03 Dec 201801:16:21

This week's episode in recorded live in THE TOWER OF LONDON because our guest Tom Houghton lives there. Seriously, just ask him.

He's a stand-up comedian, officially known as The Honourable Tom Houghton (@HonourableTom) whose Dad has been knighted... twice. We talk about The Tower of London, living in The Queen's House, trying to order take-out when you live across a moat and two battle gates, Queen's Guard vs Beefeaters, the noble Turducken, going through kidnapping training and having no chance of impressing your Dad.

Catch him live in London at 2Northdown December 6th - he's a very popular lad so buy tickets now! He's @HonourableTom on Instagram & Twitter, he's also on Facebook.

If you enjoyed the episode, please give us a like on Facebook, review on iTunes, a follow on Spotify/iTunes/Podbean or get around the not Honourable Daniel Muggleton (@danmuggleton) on Twitter/Instagram.

#11 - Scottish People Take Pride in their Stereotypes feat. Mark Nelson 26 Nov 201801:09:29

Oh boy it's a hot one this week. Jerk Offs you're gonna bloody love it, I'm chatting with Scotland's Mark Nelson about all things Braveheart (he brings it up a few times).

Mark Nelson (@marknelsoncomic) is one of the great dudes of comedy, he's also gone a bit viral with The News at 3. He's a comedian, father and currently lives in Glasgow and we chat about Rangers vs Celtic, coming from a Tory voting part of Scotland, Gaelic schools and why his mates get up at 4am to start drinking.

There's a couple of weird moments in terms of sound, sorry about that but it was recorded IN EDINBURGH so it's very authentic.

London listeners, last Australian Comedians / Dope Comedy of the year Sunday December 2nd at Backyard Comedy Club. Get around that if you're nearby.

Any tales of Scotland or questions get in touch with me on Twitter or Instagram @danmuggleton and if you enjoy the podcast please do leave a review, subscribe and all the good stuff - or like The Union Jack Off Facebook page.

#10 - It Wasn't No Cruise Ship feat. Nico Yearwood20 Nov 201801:21:48

Episode 10 is here featuring a guest all the way from Barbados... Nico Yearwood! It's 5 degrees in London today, so I really need to know why he moved here.

Nico (@neeksman) is regular on the UK circuit, and resident host at Top Secret Comedy Club in London, it was nice to catch up with him and talk about being bored enough to move countries, why he supports teams in the World Cup, standing up to youths and why he finds dancing utterly ridiculous.

Grab Nico on Instagram & Instagram @neeksman or his Facebook page

If you're in London, last Australian Comedians / Dope Comedy of the year is on December 2nd, I'm hosting with Nick Capper, Sarah Bennetto & Thomas Green on the show // TICKETS HERE!

Poorly is a Northern Word because of Austerity Feat. Scott Bennett & Thomas Green 30 Nov 201901:57:31

#54 | Australian comedian Daniel Muggleton interviews stand-ups from around the world about where they grew up, moving to the United Kingdom and what they don't like about the British.

This week's guests are Yorkshire's Scott Bennett (@scottbcomedyuk) & Adelaide's Thomas Green (@thomasgreencomedy). Both are currently proud residents of Nottingham, Nottinghamshire.

Scott Bennett talks about growing up in a one-street town - no shop, one pub - Old Snydale, being terrified of living in a big city and getting fat in Stoke-on-Trent because it was so depressing. Thomas Green talks about moving to Nottingham for love after escaping a Christian cult in Adelaide. He only started going to that church to prove to his parents he was a rebel.

This week's Feature Track is Drito - Kate Nash, listen to more on dritokonj.bandcamp.com/music

#9 - My Accent saved my Life a Few Times feat. Kyle Legacy15 Nov 201800:54:55

Sorry for the delay! I've been on many forms on transport getting back to the UK, but it'll be every Monday from next week. We're rounding out Australia month with Kyle Legacy (@thelegacylife)!

He's originally from Liverpool, is a permanent resident of Australia and also manages to spend about 3 months a year in the USA. He's a professional couch surfer who plays pick up basketball and comperes comedy clubs & festivals around the world.

We talk about why he lives his best life in Perth, Summer Camp USA, being mistaken for being black, picking up slang rather than accents, The Queen, NHS vs. Medicare and why he's not a professional ball player.

Here's a link to basketball commentary to help you make sense of Kyle's personality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eTmJzAsVqo

#8 - Australia sucks if you're a Nerd feat. Miles Ross06 Nov 201801:14:52

Sorry for the delay, I was trying to find an English comedian who lives in Sydney but realised there wasn't any. Don't worry though, we've got Miles Ross (@MilesTheRoss)! Born in London, and then growing up in a house in Sussex built in 1220. Yep. Doesn't get more English than that.

Miles isn't a stand-up comedian, he's an E-Sports Commentator for Blizzard, regularly in the US at live events and on Channel 7's Good Game. Definitely not what you'd expect from someone who calls Sydney home.

We talk about his very, very old house, the growth of E-Sports worldwide, sunscreen and being a full-kit wanker. Super interesting chat about computer games, which has to be the fastest growing phenomenon in the world. [That $25 million dollar prize pool, The Masters Golf is 11 million. Yep]

Get around Miles on Twitter & Instagram

Get in touch with me [@danmuggleton] on Twitter, Instagram & Facebook.

Plus be sure to review us, get in touch with The Union Jack Off on Facebook and subscribe.

#7 - Liking Opera doesn't make you a Wanker feat. Alice Fraser29 Oct 201801:12:59

Another episode coming straight from Sydney Australia, featuring Sydney's own Alice Fraser (@aliterative). A frequent guest on The Bugle, multiple award-winner and television appear, she stopped by on her busy schedule to tell me about starting the UK at Cambridge University.

I chat to Alice about Tall Poppy syndrome, servant culture, how Australia turned from giant prison to law-abiding and fluid dynamics - because who doesn't want to know more about fluid dynamics? She's a Burmese Buddhist who used to run marathons and truly one of the most thought-provoking comedians working today.

She'll be at Australian Comedians / Dope Comedy in London soon, but if you're free November 4th get tickets to our next show here

Catch Alice's stand-up in the form of her Alice Fraser Trilogy, and there's loads more on her website which will always be www.alicecomedyfraser.com in my heart. She's also on Instagram, Facebook & Twitter.

As always, please LIKE / SHARE / SUBSCRIBE / REVIEW the The Union Jack Off, I'd love to hear from you and will respond to everything you send my way on Twitter, Instagram & Facebook. @danmuggleton is where to find me, and tickets to my only Sydney show November 8th at Giant Dwarf are available here.

#6 - The Street Signs have the same Font feat. Ray Badran22 Oct 201801:21:36

We're kicking off Australia month at The Union Jack Off. Daniel Muggleton (@danmuggleton) is back in Australia doing shows so he's speaking to fellow Sydney-London transplant Ray Badran!

Ray Badran (@RayBadran) is a pleasure seeker and one of the most observant people you'll ever meet which is pretty obvious when talks through the English supermarket hierarchy, Subway sandwiches and leaving a Tipperoo. Honestly, I know it seems like product placement but that's just how he thinks.

We talk about Hudderfield FC who are known as the Terriers, and here's the link I promised to explain bluff oysters

Ray's more elusive than our other guests but you can get him on Twitter or on his website. He's also hosting Australian Comedians / Dope Comedy in London November 4th!

If you know anyone in Sydney, my show's on November 8th at Giant Dwarf and you can get tickets here. Otherwise get in touch on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. I'd love to hear from you, and will definitely reply.

Now, back to trying to shake this jetlag. Cheers!
