Understanding the Evil Inclination: A Path to Self-Improvement

Explore how awareness of our challenges can lead to growth.

It's five forty on a Wednesday afternoon, and as I record this, a storm is raging outside my window. The elements may try to distract us, but they won’t stop the message I want to share today. Even when life gets chaotic, we have the power to choose how we respond.

The Battle Within
In today's discussion, we delve deeper into the concept of the evil inclination and how understanding it can empower us. We all face temptations—be it money, relationships, or the desire for recognition. Overcoming these challenges is a journey that requires self-awareness and a commitment to personal growth.

Jessy Revivo emphasizes that even those who have made significant strides in their personal development must remain vigilant. Just because we overcome one temptation doesn’t mean we’re free from the evil inclination’s grasp.

“Be careful, because that’s how you get tripped up.”

This insight is crucial. The moment we feel we have mastered our struggles, we risk falling into arrogance, which can lead to self-doubt and depression if we stumble.

Embracing Free Choice
Understanding that we have free will is essential. Each day presents new choices, and it’s easy to forget that these choices define our paths. When we succumb to the belief that we can handle everything on our own, we isolate ourselves from the support we truly need.

Jessy reminds us that we have a spiritual ally waiting to help us navigate these challenges.

“Hashem is your father, and he's waiting for you to ask for his help.”

When we invite spiritual assistance into our lives, we empower ourselves to tackle even the toughest situations.

The True Goal of the Evil Inclination
Interestingly, Jessy highlights that the evil inclination’s ultimate aim is to induce despair and depression. It’s not just about individual sins; it’s about creating a cycle of negativity that makes us feel inadequate.

“The evil inclination doesn’t care if he catches you on one sin or two sins here or there. He’s concerned with the war.”

This perspective shifts our understanding of our struggles. Instead of viewing them as isolated incidents, we can see them as part of a larger battle for our emotional and spiritual well-being.

A Simple Practice for Success
To combat this negativity, Jessy suggests a simple yet powerful practice: before embarking on any task, invite divine assistance. Whether it’s a big meeting or a small repair job, acknowledging our need for help can lead to greater success.

“I can’t do it without you. At least I can’t do it properly and effectively as I could with you.”

This mindset not only alleviates pressure but also reinforces our connection to the spiritual source of strength.

Conclusion
In the end, recognizing the evil inclination as a part of our human experience doesn’t have to be daunting. Instead, it can be liberating. By understanding its tactics and enlisting spiritual support, we reclaim our power. Let’s continue to learn, grow, and support each other in this journey of self-improvement.

For more insights and guidance, listen to the full episode.

Have a wonderful evening, and may we all navigate our storms with clarity and strength.

Understanding Your Evil Inclination: A Path to Growth

Explore how acknowledging our inner challenges can lead to personal growth.

Life is a constant battle between our better angels and our darker impulses. In today’s episode, Jessy Revivo dives into the concept of the evil inclination we all possess and how recognizing it can be the first step toward personal growth.

The Gift of the Evil Inclination
Every individual is born with an evil inclination, which can often feel like a burden. Jessy explains, "The one who overcomes his individual evil inclination... is the one that comes out ahead in life." This recognition is crucial. Instead of seeing ourselves as flawed, we can view this inclination as a challenge—something meant to push us toward personal development.

The Cycle of Denial and Depression
Many people struggle with their inclinations, leading to feelings of hopelessness. Jessy points out that those who fail to acknowledge their inclination often resign themselves to a life of misery, thinking, "I might as well embrace it." This mindset traps individuals in a cycle of denial and depression. Understanding the existence of our darker sides allows us to confront them instead of succumbing to despair.

A Positive Redirect
Rather than allowing our inclinations to dictate our actions negatively, Jessy encourages us to channel these urges into constructive outlets. He shares a vivid analogy: if you have an insatiable thirst for blood, instead of succumbing to dark impulses, you could become a slaughterer, providing a much-needed service while satisfying that inclination. This idea extends beyond just extreme examples; we can redirect feelings like jealousy or the need for honor into more positive endeavors, such as teaching or helping others.

The Importance of Humility
Jessy also emphasizes the importance of humility when dealing with our inclinations. He recounts a tale from the Gemara where a righteous individual takes shortcuts, believing he can resist temptation. Ultimately, he is deemed wicked for underestimating the power of his evil inclination. "Don't think too much of yourself," Jessy warns. Recognizing our vulnerabilities can help us navigate life more wisely.

A Journey of Self-Discovery
In conclusion, acknowledging our evil inclination isn't about accepting defeat. It's about understanding ourselves better and learning to harness our challenges for growth. As we continue this journey of self-discovery, let's remember that overcoming our darker impulses is a vital part of becoming our best selves.

If you’d like to dive deeper into this topic, be sure to listen to the full episode.

Exploring the Power of Self-Reflection

Discover the strength in knowing yourself and overcoming challenges.

In this episode of the Trust Factor Podcast, Jessy Revivo delves into the importance of self-awareness and personal growth. He emphasizes that knowing oneself is crucial; without this understanding, one can’t recognize the good, the bad, and the areas that need improvement.

The Journey of Self-Discovery
Jessy shares a personal anecdote about a conversation he had with a fellow congregant who, after a significant life event, began to explore his Jewish roots and identity. This individual’s journey serves as a powerful reminder that introspection can lead to profound transformation. Jessy notes:

"A lot of people... are running around like chickens with their heads cut off. They're blindfolded."

This statement encapsulates the frantic state many find themselves in when lacking self-knowledge.

Embracing the Complexity of Human Nature
The discussion highlights how individuals often focus on their failures rather than their successes, leading to a harsh self-assessment. Jessy mentions:

"We are twice as sensitive to failure and to negativity as we are to positivity."

This imbalance can result in a cycle of negativity, especially when one feels solely responsible for life's challenges. Jessy argues that having a relationship with a higher power can relieve the burden of self-blame, promoting a healthier perspective on personal failures.

Understanding Our Internal Struggles
Jessy elaborates on the concept of the evil inclination, suggesting that it’s an inherent part of being human:

"Without the evil inclination, a person lacks free choice between good and evil."

He stresses that everyone grapples with their inclinations, and acceptance of this struggle is vital. The key lies in recognizing that our core is good, and learning to channel our inclinations positively.

The Role of Torah in Personal Growth
According to Jessy, the Torah provides the tools necessary to navigate life's challenges and develop a strong moral compass. He encourages listeners to:

"Find yourself a rabbi, a qualified rabbi, and you learn by them every day."

This learning process can turn negative traits into positive aspirations, especially in areas of spirituality.

Final Thoughts
In closing, Jessy reminds us to look for the silver linings in our struggles and challenges. Just as he reflects on the events of October 7th, which sparked personal journeys of growth for many, we too can find meaning in our hardships. Embrace the complexity of your journey, and remember that self-knowledge is a powerful tool for transformation.

Finding Gratitude in Change

Reflections on a life shift and the power of appreciation

Good morning, everyone.
As I sit in a new backdrop, I reflect on a recent life change that has stirred a whirlwind of emotions within me. Leaving our home of over 20 years was not just a physical move; it was a journey through memories, gratitude, and profound realizations.

The Weight of Transition
Packing up our house was a bittersweet experience. Walking through each room, I couldn't help but reminisce about the countless moments our children shared in those walls—moments filled with laughter and joy. Yet, as I sat quietly in the hallway, the weight of leaving hit me. I found myself overwhelmed with gratitude for all that I had.
"Thank you, Hashem. Thank you, Hashem. Thank you, Hashem."
This mantra echoed in my mind as I processed the gifts I often took for granted. It’s easy to overlook what we have until we’re faced with the thought of losing it.

The Challenge of Appreciation

How do we cultivate gratitude? One way is by imagining what life would be like without the things we cherish. It's a difficult exercise, akin to explaining the joys of parenthood to someone who has never experienced it.

"You can't really appreciate something in its entirety until it's gone."
These words resonate with a powerful truth: the secret to success is to strive for a mindset of gratitude, even amidst transitions.

Sensitivity to the Inanimate

In my reflections, I realized the importance of appreciating not just people but also the inanimate objects in our lives. They play a crucial role in our daily existence. For instance, Moses was taught to show appreciation for the sand and the water that sheltered him, illustrating the depth of gratitude we should hold for everything around us.

A Blessing in Disguise

During my time in synagogue, I sought a blessing from my rabbi. He encouraged me to read a chapter of Psalms each morning, a practice I had neglected. This commitment felt like a renewal, a way to connect more deeply with my faith and my Creator.
As I began this practice, I was struck by the verse I read that day:
"Truth from the land will sprout, and righteousness will rain down from the heavens."
This verse, which I had been reciting for years, that represents my name, felt like a personal message, affirming my journey and the new path I am embarking on.

Embracing New Beginnings

As I navigate this transition, I am reminded that gratitude is not just about acknowledging what we have; it’s about fostering a deeper connection with both the tangible and intangible aspects of our lives.
In this season of change, I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on what you are grateful for. Let’s embrace appreciation in all its forms, from our loved ones to the everyday objects that enrich our lives.

As I continue this journey, I look forward to sharing more insights and reflections with you all. Thank you for being part of this community.

Finding Gratitude Amid Change

Reflections on personal prayer and appreciation during transitions

Good morning, everyone. Today, we dive into a reflective journey sparked by a recent move. Jessy Revivo shares insights that resonate deeply, especially amidst life’s transitions.

The Value of Personal Prayer

Jessy opens the episode by emphasizing the importance of carving out personal time for prayer. He quotes a piece of wisdom that suggests spending at least an hour a day in personal reflection. This time allows for introspection, fostering a genuine connection with the creator.

"You want to have a one-on-one, you don't want to have everybody listening in. Find a solitary room, find a park or a field. The most important thing is to feel comfortable."

- Jessy Revivo

Choosing the right environment is crucial; a quiet space free from distractions enables deeper, more meaningful conversations with oneself and with the divine.

Reflecting on Blessings

As Jessy recounts his recent move, he reflects on the incredible memories built in his former home. After years of raising a family there, he highlights how easy it is to take our surroundings for granted.

"There is no more powerful time in the world to appreciate what you have until it's gone."

- Jessy Revivo

This poignant reminder encourages us to appreciate our blessings while we have them, rather than waiting for significant changes or losses to recognize their value.

The Power of Gratitude

Jessy shares a moving moment from his transition, where he and his family took time to reflect on their experiences, expressing gratitude for all the beautiful memories created in their home. It’s during these quiet moments that real appreciation surfaces, reminding us of the importance of acknowledging our blessings regularly.

"Only when I'm able, only when I'm about to walk out of that door and the house is completely empty... can I stop and contemplate what is transpiring?"

- Jessy Revivo

Such reflections not only deepen our connection with our creator but also strengthen our relationships with those around us.

Moving Forward

As Jessy continues to navigate this change, he invites listeners to consider how they can incorporate more personal prayer into their daily lives. By sharing thoughts and experiences regularly, we can stay connected and grounded.

"...the more you do that, the deeper your connection will be back and the more important and impactful your prayer will be."

- Jessy Revivo

In this episode, Jessy not only shares his journey but also encourages us to embrace our own, reminding us of the beauty in gratitude, reflection, and personal connection.

As we move forward, let’s take a moment to reflect on our own lives and the blessings we often overlook.

Transforming Judgment Day: Insights for Rosh Hashanah

Prepare for the new year with powerful spiritual reflections.

Good morning! As we enter the season of reflection and renewal, Jessy Revivo shares transformative insights that can reshape your approach to Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Embracing the Power of Divine Mercy

In today's conversation, Jessy emphasizes the unique relationship we have with our Creator, especially as we approach the Days of Awe. He reminds us that while heavenly courts uphold justice, our Father in Heaven is filled with mercy. This understanding allows us to approach Him with confidence, knowing that sincere repentance can lead to forgiveness.

"If you say the right things and you mean them, then He will give you an opportunity to... get off scot-free."
 — Jessy Revivo

The Importance of Daily Reflection

Jessy encourages listeners to dedicate time each day for personal prayer and introspection, suggesting that even just an hour can lead to a favorable verdict when judgment day arrives. He notes:

"Imagine a person is caught red-handed in a crime... if you want to judge yourself outside, then the judge will... guarantee you you're off the hook."

This metaphor highlights the importance of self-reflection and taking responsibility for our actions before seeking divine judgment.

A Call to Action

As we prepare for Rosh Hashanah, Jessy challenges us to consider our spiritual garments. He stresses that while none of us are perfect, daily atonement through honest conversation with God can keep our souls clean.

"We need to atone right now, every single day. And you can do that in your hour of conversation with your Creator."

This consistent practice not only positions us favorably in the eyes of God but also cultivates a deeper sense of self-awareness and growth.

The Balance of Good and Bad

Finally, Jessy discusses the teachings of Maimonides, urging us to assess our deeds as we approach this critical time. Seeing ourselves as "bainoni"—one who hangs in the balance—reminds us to be mindful of every action, knowing that each one carries weight.

"What does Maimonides say about the individual who is just doing the math? That person is already considered a tzadik, a righteous individual."

As we step into this new year, let's take these insights to heart and commit to a path of reflection and growth.

To dive deeper into this enlightening conversation, listen to the full episode. This journey towards personal and spiritual transformation awaits you.

Episode 183 - Preparing for Rosh Hashanah: Reflections and Insights25 Aug 202600:19:06

A deep dive into self-assessment and atonement this season.

As the season of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur approaches, Jessy Revivo invites us to reflect on our lives and actions. This is a time not just for celebration but for deep introspection. How have we utilized the time, resources, and relationships we’ve been given?

The Time for Judgment

Jessy emphasizes that this period is a time of judgment, where we must evaluate our past year. "What are you doing with the time that I'm giving you?" he asks, urging listeners to consider their contributions to the world versus what they take from it.

He challenges us to shake off the cruise control mindset we often fall into and to actively engage in self-analysis. "If you're on cruise control nine months out of the year, make sure that this month you're not."

Seeking Forgiveness and Growth

The process of atonement involves more than just asking for forgiveness; it requires us to acknowledge our actions. Jessy points out that most people avoid serious self-reflection because it may reveal uncomfortable truths. "Why? Because it might not be good. And that might force me to change."

It's a simple equation: the good we’ve done deserves to be amplified, and the negative actions should be minimized. However, many skip this analysis, leading to stagnation.

Understanding Judgment

Jessy delves into how we can prepare ourselves for this judgment. He explains a divine principle akin to double jeopardy in law: when we judge ourselves and seek forgiveness in this world, the heavenly court cannot judge us for the same transgressions.

The judgments we face from the heavenly court are precise, while God's judgments are merciful. This distinction offers comfort and hope: when we acknowledge our faults and strive to improve, we invite compassion into our lives.

"If you judge yourself in this world, then I won’t judge you in the next."

This powerful reminder underscores the importance of self-reflection and accountability, particularly during this sacred time.

The Path Forward

As we navigate our lives and the judgments we face, Jessy encourages us to foster a deeper relationship with our Creator. Recognizing the blessings in our lives and expressing gratitude can transform our perspective. "Stop and say thank you, Hashem, for getting me out of that jam. Do you know how powerful that is?"

In closing, Jessy invites us to reflect on our actions and the impact we have on others. This Rosh Hashanah, let’s commit to being better, to understanding our judgments, and to fostering a relationship filled with gratitude and growth.

Shabbat isn’t the finish line - it’s the pit stop.

If you don’t carry its lessons into Monday, the reset disappears fast.
Save this for the next time life feels like a rat race.

Comment “pit stop” if you need this reminder too.
The hard road is not always the wrong road.

Sometimes the struggle is the sign that something meaningful is being built.

And honestly?

We judge the outcome too fast, without seeing the full picture.

What feels unfair today can make sense years later.
Maybe the real test is trusting the process - even when it’s bumpy.

What’s been your hardest lesson lately?

The problem isn’t that you don’t know enough - it’s that you don’t act fast enough.

Save this for the next time inspiration hits. 📌
I keep coming back to this:

Inspiration is useless if it never turns into action.
You hear a great idea, feel something shift, and then 10 minutes later life hits you with a million distractions.

That’s why the move is simple - do something now.
Not everything.

Just one real step.

One decision.

One action that gets the ball rolling.
That’s how prayer, growth, business, and life actually change.

Not by waiting for the perfect moment - by moving while the moment is still hot.

What’s one thing you’ve been meaning to act on today?

One hour of personal prayer can change your whole day - maybe even your whole year.

If that hits you, save this and send it to someone who’s been carrying too much alone.

We spend so much time trying to fix everything in our heads.

But sometimes the breakthrough comes when you finally say it out loud.

Not polished. Not perfect. Just honest.
Speak to Hashem like you’d speak to a loving parent.
Use your own words - even if it’s messy.

Do it in the car, on a walk, wherever you can be real.
That private conversation can become the most powerful part of your day.

It’s where clarity comes back.

It’s where strength comes back.

It’s where you remember you’re not doing life alone.

Maybe the real shift starts there.

The thing we call "success" can actually be the biggest distraction.

If you need a reset, save this - and tag someone who’s been running on autopilot lately.

An hour of personal prayer isn't about escaping life.

It's about getting honest before the pressure turns into pain.

You don't need punishment to wake up.

You don't need chaos to become aware.

You need one quiet hour to check your heart, your choices, and your direction.

The wild part? The more intentional you are, the less life has to hit you harder just to get your attention.

Maybe that's why the real work is so simple - and so hard.

What's one thing you wish you checked in on more often?

If you’ve been feeling spiritually “stuck,” this might be why.

Elul always feels like a wake-up call to me - because the new year isn’t just about goals, it’s about relationship.

The biggest shift I’ve seen?  When I stopped acting like everything was random and started speaking to my Creator like He’s actually listening.

That one change changes everything:

less chaos in my head

more clarity in my life

more peace when things feel uncertain

You don’t have to have it all figured out.

Just take one honest step back toward Him.

That’s where the breakthrough starts.

Most people only change after life smacks the cup out of their hand.

The real question is - do you get bitter, get defensive, or do the deeper work and ask, what is this trying to teach me?

If this hit you, save it for later and comment “4th son” if you’re trying to live more intentionally.

This message stayed with me because it flips the way we look at pain:

Some people blame and walk away.
Some people admit fault and try again.
A few people stop before the mistake and self-check first.
That last one changes everything.
It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being awake.

About pausing before you react, speak, or move too fast.
Maybe the biggest growth is learning to evaluate yourself before life has to do it for you.

You’re not “losing control” - you’re being reminded you never had it.

Save this for the next time life hits with fear, anger, or that heavy chest feeling.

Fear often shows up when we’re carrying baggage we never let go of.

Rabbi Akiva’s “bad” night was actually what saved his life.
What feels unfair right now might be protection you can’t see yet.
That shift changes everything - because peace starts when you stop trying to be the boss of the universe.

What’s one moment that only made sense in hindsight?

Fear makes us micromanage everything.

Trust changes the whole game.

If this hit home, comment “trust” or tag the person who needs this remi#jewishpodcastsnder today. 🤍

We spend so much energy trying to control outcomes - kids, driving, flights, people, approval, money.

But the peace starts when you stop acting like it’s all on you.

Do your part, then let go.

Pray before you panic.

Accept “yes” and “no” as part of the same plan.

That shift is what turns anxiety into emuna.

Maybe that’s the lesson most of us keep relearning.

The biggest relationship shift in my life was realizing this:

Not everyone is your problem - sometimes they’re your message.

Save this for the next time someone pushes your buttons.

When I stopped asking, “Why me?” and started asking, “What am I supposed to learn?” everything changed.

That mindset saved my marriage, my peace, and the way I handle people.

You can’t control everyone around you.  You can only work on yourself, trust the process, and let the lesson do its job.

Maybe the challenge is mercy in disguise.

Is faith the secret to transforming your reactions?

Most of us battle with believing in the unseen — especially when life hits hard. We touch, see, smell everything around us, but trusting in a higher power? That’s a whole different story.

In this episode, I talk about how even when God isn’t tangible, faith is the tool that helps us see through the chaos and recognize purpose in the challenges. Whether it’s in your relationships, money, or daily struggles — trusting that there's a bigger plan is what keeps us grounded.

It’s not easy. It requires a shift in how we perceive adversity — not as punishment, but as a sign of love and growth from the Creator. When you learn to see every challenge as a message from above, your reactions shift from reactive to proactive. The secret? Surrender with love, not resistance.

What’s one situation where trusting in the process changed your response?

Worth thinking about.

When you focus on developing your inner strength, you’re creating a vessel that's truly ready for blessing.

Trust that everything happens in its perfect time—your soulmate is part of that divine plan.

When we accept that God is in control, we stop fighting reality and start thriving through it. That’s how we turn setbacks into blessings.

If you want to break the cycle and raise responsible, respectful children, start with self-improvement. Your character is the blueprint they build on.

Think about it — are your roots grounded and strong? Or are they shaky and overgrown with bad habits? 🌱

The stories that shake your soul—are they just stories... or lessons we all need to hear?

Drop a  if you feel this.

Last night, I watched a video called Letting Go — three unbelievable stories of survival and resilience in life's darkest moments.

One woman’s home was invaded and robbed, yet she found the strength to rebuild. A Holocaust survivor risked everything, only to discover betrayal from someone close to him. And a family shattered by tragedy, yet somehow still chose forgiveness and resilience.

These stories aren’t just about pain — they’re about what human beings can become when life gives them the hardest test. They show us that even in the darkest moments, people can rise, endure, and grow.

That’s why this message matters so much: education is love.

The way we shape ourselves, our homes, and our children changes everything.

Resilience doesn’t happen by accident — it’s built through how we respond, how we learn, and what values we pass on.

Worth reflecting on.

What’s one lesson you’re carrying forward from these stories?

Forgiveness isn’t about pretending the hurt didn’t happen, and it’s not about saying everything was okay. It’s about refusing to let pain keep shaping your life long after the moment has passed.

When we hold on to resentment, we carry a weight that keeps us stuck in the past. But when we choose to forgive, we give ourselves permission to breathe again, heal again, and move forward with clarity.

That’s why forgiveness is so powerful. It’s not just a gift to the other person — it’s a gift to yourself, your family, and your future. The more we let go of bitterness, the more room we create for peace, growth, and real freedom.

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is also the most healing thing to do.

How do you rebuild a broken relationship or fix the damage from past mistakes?

Drop a 🔥 if you’ve ever wondered how to truly let go and move forward.

We all carry baggage — grudges, regrets, past hurts. But here’s the truth: you can’t drive your future looking in the rearview mirror. The key is learning to leave the past behind — sincerely — and focus on the next step. Once you’ve done your part to make amends and genuinely forgive, it’s about letting go of the weight that’s holding you down.

Forgiveness isn’t just about the other person; it’s about freeing yourself. It’s understanding that everyone makes mistakes, but growth is possible if you keep that door in your heart slightly open — just enough for genuine change to happen. And yes, it’s hard. But would you rather be weighed down by resentment or free to move forward with clarity and peace?

Maybe it’s time to ask yourself: are you ready to drop the anchor? It’s a choice — and one only you can make.

Trust the process. Forgive fully. Move on.

Ever wondered why divorce is glorified instead of addressed? 🤔

Tag someone who needs to hear this!

Divorce is rampant in our society today. People are delaying marriage, and when they do tie the knot, it often ends in heartbreak. We’ve strayed from understanding the blessings that children bring and the strength of a united family.

But what if we shifted our perspective? Imagine if couples chose to work on their issues instead of opting for divorce. The fallout from separation often lands hardest on children. They deserve stability, not the chaos of divided homes.

Let’s talk about the real cost of divorce—not just financially, but emotionally.

What if, before taking that step, couples reflected on their pride and willingness to communicate? Marriage isn't just about love; it’s about partnership, teamwork, and sometimes, swallowing your pride for the sake of your family.

Maybe it’s time we rethink our approach to relationships. What are your thoughts?

Divorce can often feel like the solution to many problems, but as discussed, it frequently leads to new challenges, especially for families with children. Jessy Revivo emphasizes that the complications of co-parenting can strain relationships and create environments filled with anxiety and discomfort during family gatherings.

The Reality After Divorce
- **Shared Events**: Family occasions can become uncomfortable as ex-spouses and their new partners navigate interactions filled with unresolved feelings.
- **Impact on Children**: Children often observe the tension between divorced parents, which can affect their own understanding of relationships and conflict resolution.
- **Financial Strain**: Divorce can lead to increased financial burdens, particularly when legal disputes arise, further complicating family dynamics.

Jessy's insights encourage us to reconsider divorce as a solution and instead focus on nurturing our relationships while we still have the chance.

💔 "Divorce is the new trend, but is it really what you want?"

👉 Tag someone who needs to hear this!

So many of us are caught in the cycle of ending relationships, thinking it’s a quick fix to our problems. But what if I told you that divorce can feel like losing a part of yourself? One woman described it as being released from prison, only to feel a gnawing emptiness afterward.

When you commit to someone, your souls unite. Splitting up isn't just about physical separation; it's a painful severing of that bond. Many people don’t realize that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

Divorce comes with baggage—emotional wounds that can weigh you down in future relationships. It’s crucial to work through conflicts while you’re still together.

We need to be better examples for our children, showing them what love and respect look like. Let’s shift the narrative and embrace the hard work that love requires.

In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Just like my grandmother was terrified of the microwave, many of us are grappling with the rapid changes in technology and society. We’ve transitioned from simpler times to a reality where every day brings new distractions and challenges.

This constant shift is causing instability in our lives and relationships. People are floating from one idea to the next, and even from one partner to another, without committing fully. It’s a disposable society, and the real price we pay is emotional turmoil and instability.

But here’s the truth: Wisdom and guidance have remained unchanged throughout generations. The Torah is a timeless manual, offering us the stability we crave. When we stray from these principles, we suffer from a lack of commitment—not just in relationships but in every aspect of life.

Remember, divorce doesn’t solve problems; it just trades them for new ones. Before making drastic decisions, consider what you can learn and how you can grow from your current situation.

Let’s break the cycle of disposability together.

What’s your take on this?

When marriages hit a rough patch, what’s the first thing you should do?

Tag someone who needs to hear this!

Patience is key. Many think that fixing a relationship is a matter of pushing for change, but it's more about personal growth. It’s crucial to work on yourself first and allow your partner to see these changes in their own time.

Remember, it’s not about demanding to be let back into their lives; it’s about showing through your actions that you’ve evolved.

Good relationships require effort, and sometimes, the hardest work is waiting and being supportive from a distance. When the time is right, everything will fall into place.

What’s your experience with patience in relationships?

Happy Canada Day! In this episode of the Trust Factor Podcast, host we discuss the importance of maintaining routine and the challenges that come with summer vacation. We emphasizes how our habits are formed from a young age and how difficult it can be to break them. As many people find themselves off their schedules during this time, I encourage listeners to relax and enjoy the season while acknowledging that it may lead to delays in podcast releases.

We dives into the struggles of a husband who has neglected his responsibilities and is now facing the consequences. I outlines three key steps for making amends and improving one's situation: 1) Recognize the divine influence in our lives, 2) Learn from past mistakes, and 3) Pray for guidance and support, with 4 and 5 yet to come.

In discussing the need for humility in relationships, I highlight the importance of understanding and valuing the contributions of one's spouse. I stresses that it is critical to refrain from negative comments that could harm a partner's confidence. Instead, I advocates for open communication and support, reminding listeners that both partners should strive for personal growth together.

Ultimately, the message is about self-reflection, personal accountability, and the power of prayer in healing relationships. As summer unfolds, let's remind listeners to remain patient and hopeful as they work towards establishing a more fulfilling routine come fall.

It’s heartbreaking to see the impact of militant ideologies, especially when they’re tolerated in our societies. We need to hold people accountable for their actions, not let them thrive unchecked.

From protests to media narratives, too often, we see a lack of consequences for those who promote hate. We’re witnessing a concerning trend where voices of hatred gain traction, and it’s time to question why.

The roots of these ideologies run deep, possibly influenced by powerful entities like the WEF.

The Power of Emuna in Marriage: A Guide to Lasting Relationships

In a world where divorce rates are at an all-time high, the question arises: what truly makes a marriage successful? In this post, we delve into the concept of Emuna—faith and trust in God—and how it plays a critical role in nurturing a healthy marital relationship. Whether you are newly engaged, celebrating decades of marriage, or contemplating your future, understanding the principles of Emuna can transform your family dynamics and lead to lasting happiness.

Understanding Emuna in Marriage

Emuna is more than just a religious concept; it's a lifestyle choice that influences how we interact with our spouses and children. When faced with the ups and downs of life, the strength of your Emuna determines your resilience.

Why Emuna Matters
- **Foundation of Trust:** Emuna builds a strong foundation of trust and security within the family.
- **Coping Mechanism:** It provides a framework for coping with life's challenges, be it financial struggles or personal crises.
- **Role Model:** A person with strong Emuna serves as a role model for their family, teaching children how to handle adversity and uncertainty.

The Impact of Emuna on Marital Bliss

Marriage is often described as the ultimate testing ground for Emuna. It reveals whether one can maintain faith during challenging times.

Signs of Weakness in Emuna
- **Constant Struggles:** If you find yourself in a relationship marred by daily emotional roller coasters, this is a clear indication of a lack of Emuna.
- **External Validation:** Individuals often wear a facade in public, but they cannot maintain this at home. The true measure of happiness is revealed in private settings.
- **Baggage:** Unresolved emotional baggage can weigh heavily on a marriage, affecting the ability to find joy and fulfillment.

Emuna as a Tool for Overcoming Challenges

When challenges arise, such as financial instability or personal conflicts, Emuna can serve as your guide.

Emuna is not just a faith; it’s a crucial component in building a happy and successful marriage. By fostering open communication, prioritizing family time, and practicing gratitude, couples can create a nurturing environment that promotes love and understanding.

Understanding and applying the principles of Emuna in your relationship can be transformative. So, whether you're in the early stages of your relationship or looking to rekindle the spark after years of marriage, remember that every effort counts towards building a lasting foundation.

When we discuss the principles of wealth, it’s essential to recognize the difference between simply knowing these teachings and truly incorporating them into our lives. Oftentimes, we find ourselves quoting books and sharing thoughts, only to realize that retaining this knowledge requires continuous effort. The goal is not just to learn once or twice but to integrate these concepts into our very being.

The Dangers of Chasing Wealth

Many chase after wealth, believing it will bring happiness. Society has conditioned us to think that success is tied to money—buying bigger houses, fancier cars, and the latest technology. But this mindset can lead to a downward spiral. The pursuit of wealth often jeopardizes our morals and values. The truth is, you can earn money in a kosher way without losing your integrity. Gambling and chasing unrealistic dreams can lead to greater losses and ultimately does not guarantee happiness.

The Illusion of Sudden Wealth

Sudden windfalls, such as winning the lottery, are often more of a curse than a blessing. Those who come into unexpected wealth frequently face severe emotional and spiritual challenges. Examples abound of people who, after a sudden influx of money, find themselves in tragic situations, from addiction to loss. The emotional and spiritual preparedness to handle sudden wealth is crucial. Most people lack this preparedness, leading to disorientation and arrogance when faced with newfound riches.

The Role of Emunah in Wealth Management

Emunah, or faith, is the spiritual vessel necessary to handle abundance. Understanding that wealth is a temporary deposit from the Creator allows individuals to manage it wisely. Recognizing that money is not ours, but rather intended for good deeds and purpose, shifts our perspective. Those with Emunah understand that wealth can be taken away just as easily as it is given, fostering humility and responsibility in how they use their resources.

Practical Applications of Emunah in Wealth

To cultivate Emunah, one must practice prudence with their wealth. This includes tithing and investing in charitable endeavors that promote spiritual growth and community support. By putting money towards meaningful causes, you align yourself with the Creator’s intentions, ensuring that your wealth serves a greater purpose. As you give back, you reinforce the understanding that your financial success is a responsibility, not just a privilege.

Conclusion: Preparing for Abundance

In conclusion, while we should aspire to be wealthy, it is imperative to be spiritually and emotionally prepared to handle that wealth. This preparation involves understanding the principles of Emunah, allowing us to receive and retain wealth in a way that uplifts ourselves and those around us. As we embrace these teachings, we can transform our relationship with money, ensuring it serves as a tool for good in the world.

Have an amazing Shabbat, and let’s continue this journey together!
