Matthew also shares his favorite nature-forward destinations in the Pacific Northwest, across the United States, and internationally.

111. Why Travel Guidebooks Are Still Worth It: How Moon Travel Guides Helped Us Plan Our First Family Road Trip13 Oct 202200:10:24

Are travel guidebooks still worth it? I was first introduced to travel guidebooks a few years ago while traveling solo in Lisbon, Portugal. A new friend I met at my hostel and I considered what we'd grab for dinner when she whipped out a guidebook. Gauging our interests, we quickly found a highly-rated but low-key restaurant off the tourist path. Since then, guidebooks have become an invaluable resource for inspiration and travel planning, unlocking local gems, tips, and perspectives.

In this episode, discover reasons to use a guidebook when travel planning and how Moon Travel Guides helped me plan my first family road trip.

[MWB Series Finale] How We're Building Wealth One Year Later in 202101 Nov 202100:13:34
It's hard to believe that Acquania and I started Millennial Wealth Builders one year ago in 2020.

We started this audio docuseries because we wanted to create a space where Women of Color can be celebrated for all of the creative ways they are building wealth. Women of Color are often left out of the wealth-building conversation, and we wanted to change that.

Over the last year, we've had the pleasure of documenting the journeys of twelve women, including ourselves. Their stories touched us and inspired us to dream bigger and pursue our audacious financial goals.

One year later, Acquania Escarne, the host of The Purpose of Money, is growing her real estate portfolio and prioritizing passive income.

Co-host Danielle Desir, the host of The Thought Card Podcast, has quit her corporate career to pursue creative entrepreneurship.

Acquania and I close out the series by sharing how we are building wealth one year later, at the end of 2021.

We sincerely hope you enjoyed this limited audio series and will grab a copy of the book (yes, we're writing the book!!!) when released in early 2022.

Why Consider Private Travel and Guided Group Tours With Sarah Wilson29 Jul 202100:29:55

Sarah Wilson is an enthusiastic travel agent who specializes in private travel and guided group tours. Sarah believes that travel is about experiencing the world and all that it has to offer. She doesn't only want to help you plan a vacation, but create once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Private options include private jets, private homes and villas, private islands, cruises, yachts, staff, events, and more.

In this episode, Sarah reminds us that private doesn't mean pricey. Yes, luxury travel is more exclusive, but it doesn't have to be exclusively expensive. Due to current demand and health and safety concerns, more companies are offering unique tours and excursions for small groups that cost the same as, if not less than commercial travel experiences. Sarah Wilson shares why financially savvy travelers should consider private travel, the benefits of hiring a travel agent, and why it is more affordable than you think.
