2024 Episode 18 - What a Friday Finale! Quarter Finals complete, Keaton Jennings, Moeen Ali, Ben Watts join the show

Saison 2 · Épisode 18

mardi 23 juillet 2024Durée 01:38:30

After a drama filled Friday Finale, Jarleth Eaton and Cam McFarlane return to dissect it all in the latest T20 Blast Podcast. The boys look at all eight games from the final round of group matches, as Northants defeated Lancs in an epic, Birmingham Bears finished top of the North Group to send Leicestershire out, and Yorkshire lost to Notts to allow Durham to sneak into fourth following their victory at Derbyshire. The boys hear from Lancashire's Keaton Jennings and Bears star Moeen Ali, before they look at the action in the South Group, where Essex lost to Hampshire to send Gloucestershire into the last eight, Somerset lost to Glamorgan to send Sussex into a home quarter final with their win over Middlesex, and Kent demolished Surrey to end their season on a high. Jar then speaks to BBC Radio Kent's cricket commentator Ben Watts about why the Spitfires struggled this year, before Cam rejoins him to look back on the Group Stage and to give their predictions about who is favourite to lift the title when the knockout stages come around in September. Thanks as always for listening throughout the group stage, and we'll be back in September for the conclusion of this tournament. In the meantime, you can speak to Jar and Cam throughout the summer by following @T20BlastPod on socials.

2024 Episode 9 - Weekend Review, what's going on at Notts, Midweek preview

Saison 2 · Épisode 9

mardi 11 juin 2024Durée 01:24:22

Jarleth Eaton and Cam McFarlane return for the week's first episode of the T20 Blast Podcast. In this show, Jar starts by getting on his long run about England's loss to Australia in the T20 World Cup, and how he believes English cricket is in serious bother, despite Cam trying to convince him otherwise. It's been a horrendous weekend for Jar county wise too, as the Birmingham Bears lost to both Durham and Lancashire in the pod derby, leaving Cam extremely smug. The lads review the rest of the weekend as well, including asking how the Notts Outlaws have lost all five of their games this season, the only side not to get any points yet. Jar and Cam then round up the show by looking at the latest tables, before previewing the games happening Tuesday-Thursday this week. Thanks as always for listening, and follow @T20BlastPod on socials.

After that, Jar and Cam preview the 17 (!!) games over the second weekend of the 2024 Blast, including the second Pod Derby between Lancashire and Birmingham Bears at Emirates Old Trafford, giving their picks for each of them. Saison 2 · Épisode 6

dimanche 2 juin 2024Durée 54:15

Jarleth Eaton and Cam McFarlane are back with the latest episode of the T20 Blast Podcast. The boys come to you from Sixes Social Cricket in Birmingham where the two of them are smug after hitting centuries, albeit in very different styles. Afterwards, they turn their attention to what they saw at Blast Off at Edgbaston, where Derbyshire got over the line against Leicestershire, and Birmingham Bears managed to defend 150 to beat Notts Outlaws. Derbyshire reaction comes from captain Samit Patel, who hit 64 off 32 to help his team over the line, while Notts' Luke Fletcher and Birmingham's Rob Yates give their thoughts on their game. The lads then answer a listener's question about whether the T20 Blast has lost it's luster, which ends up with the pair on their long run about what could be done to make the competition bigger. Finally, Jar and Cam preview Sunday's action, including two games that they will be in person at in Hampshire v Kent, and Surrey v Somerset. Thanks as always for listening, and follow @T20BlastPod on socials.
