AHL reporter and all-around good dude Andrew Rinaldi joined us to talk about the Chicago Wolves / Carolina Hurricanes situation.

As we start season 5 of the pod, we welcome in one of Ray's best friends, Andy to the show. A Flames/Oilers guy through and through, Andy joins us to talk about his job in the NHL, to remember Johnny Gaudreau, and to talk about how the Jarvis contract could impact his beloved Oilers.

We welcomed Beth and Courtney into the Storm Cellar this week to talk about the hiring of Émilie Castonguay, in general about the intersection of women and hockey (as well as women in hockey). These two passionate fans talked about the Castonguay hiring, women in hockey including Olympics, ECHL, and the PHF, as well as their perspectives of being female fans. We give out some mid-season rankings and although they're Blackhawks fans, we can all agree on some Dougie Hamilton love. We also discuss the Canes new signings and Ryan's initial impressions of them, along with Scott Morrow's performance against the Blues.

We wrap this one up looking at the playoff picture again as it's still anyone's WC2 in the east, and the President's Trophy and Metro Championship are both up for grabs.

In this episode Ray and Brad got a chance to meet a wonderful Hollander and Caniac, Linda Paans. Linda started following the team when her favorite player Paul Coffey joined the team in 98, and after he left, she decided that there was something special about the group in Raleigh. We had Canes Stats in this week to talk about how they went from video games to Caniac.

And there was a lot of discussion around the issues that resulted in the Raanta being put on waivers. Whose fault was it? Was it the right move? How does this affect Raanta? How does this affect the team?

This might be our most in depth episode in a while, be sure to give it a go!

Thanks to Erin for joining us this week. It could have been kind of a downer episode but Erin was great as both a guest, and with her perspectives on the team right now.
