| ‘How I Produced Millions of 𝙀𝙘𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙨𝙮 𝙋𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙨’ (INTERVIEW) | 25 Jun 2026 | 00:33:39 | |
For some underground manufacturers, making the perfect 𝙚𝙘𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙨𝙮 𝙥𝙞𝙡𝙡 is not just a job. It's a calling. An art form. And a matter of personal pride. In this video, we hear from two Dutch guys who mastered that art. (The quotes are voiced by an actor.)These interviews, conducted by Adam Fierman, feature in a new book called 𝙁𝘼𝘾𝙀𝙎 𝙊𝙁 𝙀𝘾𝙎𝙏𝘼𝙎𝙔, by Adam Fierman and Peter Andrew Lusztyk. It contains 1,200+ images, 26 underworld interviews, and a bunch of stories, memories, and mysteries from three decades of 𝙥𝙞𝙡𝙡 design and production. | He Trusted ChatGPT for Drug Advice. He Died | 06 Feb 2026 | 00:32:38
This episode contains three stories: ACT I (0:00-12:33): A Teen 𝘿𝙞𝙚𝙙 After Asking ChatGPT for 𝘿𝙧𝙪𝙜 Advice Sam Nelson was a teenage student when he trusted ChatGPT for advice on how to take 𝙙𝙧𝙪𝙜𝙨. He 𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙙, aged 19, after following the advice the AI chatbot gave him. In this video, which contains scenes that some may find upsetting, I look at how this happened. ACT II (12:33-23:55): UK 𝘿𝙧𝙪𝙜 Driving Laws Make No Sense At All When it comes to 𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙙, the UK 𝙙𝙧𝙪𝙜 driving laws make no sense at all. With alcohol, the roadside tests indicate if someone is impaired by the booze so driving would be dangerous. But the 𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙙 roadside test does not indicate if someone is impaired after using 𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙙 (that would be fair enough), it tests if someone has any traces of 𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙙 in their system whatsoever. So people who have 𝙨𝙢𝙤𝙠𝙚𝙙 a 𝙟𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙩 one or even two weeks ago, are being arrested and convicted of driving whilst impaired. Even though research (Eadie et al, 2021) has concluded that cognitive impairment after 𝙨𝙢𝙤𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙙 only lasts for around four hours. This is a huge miscarriage of justice that’s going on right now in the UK. ACT III (23:55-32:38): Is Live Nation Running a Monopoly on UK Festivals? The UK monopoly position is 25%. Market dominance position is 40%. According to data from the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF), Live Nation controls 66.4%. John Rostron, CEO of the AIF, said: “Based on our analysis, we believe that there is evidence to suggest that Live Nation could be held responsible for engaging in anti-competitive behaviour and we therefore recommend that the Competition and Markets Authority investigate matters. While we encourage and support organisations and individuals putting on the biggest shows, we wish for the market to be fair where all participants (whether major companies or independents) have opportunities at all levels. That’s why we took this action.”

| How North Korea Became a 𝘿𝙧𝙪𝙜 Trafficking EMPIRE | 24 Jan 2026 | 00:30:25 | |
There’s many ways of describing North Korea: Arguably the most corrupt nation in the world. Or perhaps 'a colossal prison where everyone is sentenced to a life sentence the day they’re born'. But not everyone knows that it’s also a massive state-run 𝙙𝙧𝙪𝙜 trafficking machine. This video lays out the savage story of how the so-called Hermit Kingdom (the most secretive, repressive, and secluded state ever) became a major player in the international 𝙙𝙧𝙪𝙜 trafficking scene. | 1M Brits Take Steroids, But Nobody Talks About It | 11 Jan 2026 | 00:53:59
A huge drug trend is also a somewhat hidden one: steroids. According to some estimates, one million British people are on the gear. I don’t know anything about this, so I spoke to Tom Usher, a journalist who has recently produced a documentary on the topic. I wanted to know why he made the doc, what he learned about how many people take them, why so many people keep it on the down low, and what motivates them to do it in the first place.

| The Story of Poitín: Ireland's Rebel Moonshine | 18 Dec 2025 | 00:18:07 | |
Irish poitín is one of the strongest alcoholic drinks ever known to man. It has an infamous reputation and not just because of its strength; in 1661, the British Crown changed their licencing laws introducing taxation on alcohol, but the poitín distillers refused to play ball. Instead they opted to move their activities underground, creating an illegal cottage industry. That sparked a cat-and-mouse game, between the DIY brewers and the authorities, that went on in the rolling hills of Ireland for centuries. Poitín was legalised in 1997, some companies have since sprouted up offering legit poitín as a luxury product. Other distillers prefer to continue with their underground, unlicensed, and untaxed operations – ensuring that this blisteringly-strong ancient booze continues to be a symbol of Ireland's heritage, identity, and rebellious spirit, to this very day.NOTE: This video is for educational and journalistic purposes only. #SimonDohertyChapters:0:00 Poitín0:32 Prohibition 1:20 DIY Distil 2:30 Cat and Mouse Game3:36 “A Suspicious Man”4:07 History 5:30 Poitín Pre-Dates Whisky 6:52 “Run Like the Devil from the Excise Man”7:41 Grease Your Throat 9:20 Poitín as a Tool for Freedom11:03 “Cure All Ills”11:42 1960s Method13:56 Poitín is Now a High-End Luxury Product

| How 𝙎𝙥𝙞𝙘𝙚 Took Over UK Prisons, Schools and Streets | 09 Dec 2025 | 00:32:03 | |
This is the disastrous story of how some of the most vulnerable communities in the UK (the prison population, the homeless community, and children at school) became gripped by 𝙨𝙮𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙞𝙙𝙨––an increasingly potent and unpredictable family of 𝙙𝙧𝙪𝙜𝙨 often referred to collectively as ‘spice’. Scientists, working out of the University of Bath in the UK, recently analysed 2,000 '𝙏𝙃𝘾 𝙫𝙖𝙥𝙚𝙨' that were busted by teachers in 114 schools over the past two years. The results were published by Drug Science last week: 13% of all samples actually contained 𝙨𝙮𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙞𝙙𝙨. In some regions, the number was as high as 27%.NOTE: This video is for journalistic and educational purposes. | The Rise and Fall of the UK's GROSS ‘Grit Weed’ | 30 Nov 2025 | 00:26:10
In 2006/07, a number of public health warnings were released in the UK about what people were calling "grit 𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙙" – 𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙨 contaminated with tiny glass beads, sand, or other small particles. What is perhaps even more remarkable than the fact that people were contaminating it in this way, was the bizarre set of circumstances that led to that situation. The years 2001-2009 was an absolutely bonkers period for British policy around the plant. The "grit" problem peaked in 2006/07, but the events that caused it, the ripples in the pond each one giving rise to the next, started around half a decade before. This video is about how that ripple effect played out.

Is Talk to FRANK (the UK’s Government drug education campaign which has been running for over two decades) a useful resource? Or is it simply an agent of prohibition? I tried to find out. Talk to FRANK is the UK's longest-running government d̶r̶u̶g̶s̶ education campaign. They’ve published some hilarious ads and they run a website and phone helpline that they say "educate and inform" young people about d̶r̶u̶g̶s̶. But they have been criticised for having call handlers that "don’t know what they’re talking about", publishing “propaganda” that’s “not based on real evidence”, trying to reach young people but not having social media channels, and exaggerating the harms and implications of casual d̶r̶u̶g̶ use. I wanted to know about his anarcho-punk roots, how the acid techno sound came about, how the Liberator trio met, and the crossover between the values of the punk movement and underground electronic music culture. | How the Alcohol Industry Tried to Destroy Rave Culture | 05 Mar 2026 | 00:25:45
In the 1990s, the alcohol industry colluded with corrupt British politicians, crooked scientists, and unscrupulous tabloid journalists, all with one aim: to bring down rave culture. In 1993, market analysts published a report into the future of the UK hospitality industry and it sent shivers down the spine of Big Booze. Between 1987 and 1992, pub attendance in the UK fell by 11%, with a projected 20% decrease by 1997. People drank less as they were more interested in 𝙥𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙨. Estimates used in the report suggested the percentage of 16-24s taking any 𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙖𝙡 𝙙𝙧𝙪𝙜 doubled to nearly 30% between 1989 and 1992. Not only that, they said that one million people a week were attending 𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙖𝙡 raves spending £1.8 billion a year there. Big Booze was losing revenue and the government was losing the tax on that revenue. Both had a vested interest to bring down rave culture. And that’s why they colluded in a conspiracy to take it down. What followed was an unbelievable mix of dodgy politicians taking bribes, paid-off scientists publishing fake findings, and unethical journalists publishing propaganda. The puppeteers pulling the strings controlling all of these people was the alcohol industry.
