With the start of the playoffs now less than a week ago, a special guest stops by The SensChirp Podcast, which is definitely still a thing. Or mostly still a thing, anyway.

The Ottawa Senators just turned in one of their most infuriating performances in a long time and that's the perfect moment to bring back The SensChirp Podcast, apparently?!

The vibes are dangerously low but the sound quality is hmm...also dangerously low.

We're baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.

Two episodes in under a week?! Okay now we're really back.

In Episode 23, we cycle through a few different Top 5 lists including most important team elements (definitely has five elements), most important players (I think only had four) and biggest fears (we have no fears).

Oh and another round of "Call 'em Up!" with one of the show's most loyal listeners.

Testing...Testing...Is this thing on?

After a brief 17-month hiatus, The SensChirp Podcast is back and weirder than ever. Same annoying intro music, same shoddy editing and same delightfully average content. In this week's episode, Ray Ramano and The Source recap the news of the last 536 days and all in just a shade over 30 minutes.

You'll also hear the first edition of Call 'em Up!  where we cold-call unsuspecting Sens fans and ask them three quick questions. You could be next! 

My name is SensChirp and it was recently brought to my attention that I have a podcast. I have also been reminded that it has been four months since I recorded an episode of the aforementioned podcast. But with the Trade Deadline days away and green beer at the ready, this felt like the right time to get back to work.

As the good ship Senator hits some troubled waters, Bruce Garrioch stops by for a State of the Union discussion and then we tee up Monday's Trade Deadline.

Not gonna lie- it might be our best segment yet.

It has been brought to my attention that I have a podcast. It has also been brought to my attention that it has been well over a month since the last episode.

And because I really, really, really don't want to to discuss last night's game, The SensChirp Podcast is BACK. Again.

In this episode, The Source and I catch-up on a few things we've missed over the last couple months. We discuss the recent performance of the team (pre-Sunday night debacle), we talk about the underrated job DJ Smith has done this year and we get into the upcoming RFA negotiations. 

This is a real "back to our roots" episode. Annoying intro music and then just a bunch of incoherent rambling about the Ottawa Senators. It's good to be back.

Yep, this is DEFINITELY a podcast. After another accidental month hiatus, the SensChirp Podcast is back and more available for automatic download over the internet than ever.

We'll call this one "The SensChirp and Garrioch Show".

Bruce Garrioch makes his second appearance and covers every possible topic. We start with a quick discussion on social media before teeing up the April 12th Trade Deadline and closing with a discussion on a few off-season priorities, including Brady Tkachuk's contract and the next Captain of the Ottawa Senators.

It's good to be back.

We're baaaaaaaaaack. All it took was a once-in-a-lifetime comeback win for the ages to finally convince me to record another episode.

In the first segment, you'll learn a little bit about a new weekly fantasy site called Owner's Box and then in the second segment, the moment we've all been waiting for/dreading- the first attempt at a SensChirp Comment Section Roundtable.

It's Episode 15, of the Artem Zub Podcast. 

Last night around 10:00 PM, I sat down and wrote a blog post called "The Lost Episode".

It was cautionary tale about the pitfalls of technology. See, I had just wrapped up a 30-minute interview with Ottawa's all-time leader in games played but due to some connection issues, it appeared that the audio was lost forever.

And then, a miracle. I got an email from the support team at the site where I do my recordings. The original was gone. The back-up was badly damaged. But somewhere, in a far-away cloud, was a third version. A back-up to the back-up.

The interview was saved!

The audio definitely cuts in and out at times while Chris is talking. And the editing process was about 10 times harder because I had to piece together multiple files. 

But it's there. Episode 14 of The SensChirp Podcast.

The Lost Episode....found.

There are two conversations that have basically consumed Sens fans over the last few years.

They are pretty closely related and while there has been less focus on them the last little while, they are topics that always seem to linger beneath the surface. Ownership is one, obviously. And the second is the ongoing struggle between optimistic and pessimistic fans. The whole "right way" to be a fan nonsense.

They are tired conversations at this point but they clearly remain as part of the Sens fan discourse.

Over the last few years, I find my opinion on these topics bounces around day to day but these two segments from a previous recording are a good representation of where I'm at these days. And where I think a growing portion of the fan base sits.

Anyway let's call it Episode 13! 

Oh right- I have a podcast! 

After an accidental two-week hiatus, The SensChirp Podcast is back and better than ever! Better is of course a relative term, And in this case, by better I mean...better than the week where there wasn't a podcast.

In this episode, The Source stops by to talk through the news of the week including a surprising amount of wheeling and dealing from Pistol Pete Dorion. We also talk about the World Juniors and the jaw-dropping performance of Tim Stuetzle before wrapping up with an attempt at projecting some line combinations heading into Training Camp which starts...

TOMORROW?!

Episode 10 took The SensChirp Podcast to new heights.

Bruce Garrioch, who may actually own the podcast now, covered a range of topics of interest to Sens fans in a level of detail rarely seen in any form of online content. It was thoughtful, engaging and entertaining.

I fear it may have set the bar impossibly high.

So now it's time for us to get back to our roots. Poor editing, annoying theme music, awkward interviews and generally incoherent ramblings in the SensChirp Studio.

In Episode 11, The Source stops by as we talk about the looming return to play, the upcoming World Juniors and the hot start by Shane Pinto. In the final segment, two special guests stop by to talk about....well I'm not really sure what they're talking about.

In Episode 10, Bruce Garrioch stops by the virtual studio to talk about a career in sports journalism, the 30th anniversary of the city of Ottawa receiving an NHL franchise and his recent interview with Eugene Melnyk.

We also go through some rapid fire questions on Brady Tkachuk's next contract, LeBreton Flats, Logan Brown, Tim Stuetzle, Anthony Duclair and the next Captain of the Ottawa Senators.

Starting to think The SensChirp Podcast might actually be a thing.

In hindsight, starting a Sens podcast in the middle of an eight month stretch without Sens hockey may not have been the best strategy.

Not a damn thing to talk about this week so it's time to have a look inside the SensChirp mailbag. We talk Melnyk, Twitter scouts, goalie prospects, online negativity, the All-Canadian division, butterfly effect moments, Tkachuk's next contract and more.

Update- The SensChirp Podcast might actually be good.

This week, Ian Mendes from TSN 1200 stops by to talk about the relationship between the mainstream media and the Sens online community and the current state of the Ottawa market. Then in segment two, I walk through the best games in Sens history. It's kind of amazing.

If you only share one episode of The SensChirp Podcast with everyone you know, this is the one. 

It's all downhill from here, folks.

It has become clear that my plan to wait for more Sens news to come out before recording another podcast just isn't going to work.

So here it is- 30-uninterrupted minutes of in-depth coverage on the Christian Jaros signing. Just kidding. Not sure we even talk about it. 

In this week's episode, The Source stops by to talk about the opening night line up for next season and then in the second segment, a tribute to Alex Trebek as we play a quick game of SensChirp Jeopardy. Rumour has it there's a prize up for grabs too.

Has it been seven days already? 

As long as Pierre Dorion keeps doin' stuff, I'll keep recording my disjointed thoughts about it. In the first segment, two more chapters in the SensChirp Origin Story. In segment two, The Source is back to talk about the Galchenyuk signing and the Corey Perry rumours (huh?!). Then in the final segment, TIME TRAVEL.

After a flurry of episodes in the early days of The SensChirp Podcast, things have slowed down a bit. I tried to make an episode specifically focused on the JC Beaudin signing but apparently 38 second podcasts are frowned upon.

But we're back! 

In this week's episode, we talk a bit about the news of the week before getting into Chapters 3 and 4 in the SensChirp Origin story. Yep still a thing. In the final two segments, our second SensChirp interview as Luke Peristy stops by to talk about the draft and about Ottawa's off-season to this point.

We. Are. Back.

So is this a podcast yet er what? In this week's episode, we hear the first two chapters in the SensChirp Origin Story. Yea I'm not sure either. Then in the second segment, we walk through the news of the week including the Dadonov contract, the Stützle injury and Nick Paul's extension. In the final segment, we take a run at the 112-page MASTER PLAN.

In this week's episode, the Source stops by the virtual studio and we do a rundown of Ottawa's performance at last week's Entry Draft. In the second segment, you'll hear what I'm hoping will be the first of many SensChirp interviews and then we finish with a surprisingly belligerent discussion on the current state of the Ottawa market. 

The NHL Entry Draft is in the books and it's been a wild week for the Ottawa Senators.

Tim Stützle and Jake Sanderson are Senators, Matt Murray is locked in as the new starting goalie and Erik Gudbranson will soon patrol the Ottawa blueline. After more than seven months without Sens hockey, everything is happening. 

In the second episode, you'll hear the world's saddest draft party, a breakdown of the week's events and a roundtable featuring an actual Leaf fan, if you can believe it. You're gonna hate it! 

After more than 12 years of mediocre blogging, SensChirp has decided to give podcasting a try. 

In the inaugural episode, SensChirp and The Source tee up the upcoming NHL Entry Draft talking about options at 3rd overall, strategy at 5th overall and what the team might do with the 28th overall selection. 

The content is average, the editing is dreadful- it's everything you'd expect from The SensChirp Podcast!
