DCity Smokehouse. I live in DC and produce this show in DC and the first time I met up with Erica to hear her story was at this DC BBQ spot which is, in my opinion, the best BBQ in DC. Also, the vibe is exactly right, a bunch of picnic tables inside and outside, every kind of person is there, you can go get your own utensils and come to the counter and get your own food, and sort your own self out. And the food, especially the brussel sprouts and the baked beans are chef’s kiss perfect. That’s DCity Smokehouse, this is just free promo for my favorite local bbq spot. https://www.dcitysmokehouse.com/

Until then, a Black Adventurer that I know you’ll love is Yamilee Toussaint Beach and her organization, STEM from Dance. On a beach in Greece this dancer engineer gorgeous friend of mine, pitched me the idea of starting this organization called STEM From Dance which would tackle challenges around diversity in the STEM workforce by combining elements of science, technology, engineering, and math with dance. All these years later hundreds of kids have completed her curriculum, she’s hired a staff, and she is doing her thing up in BK. You can find STEM from dance online at www.stemfromdance.
