Melissa Burns is an ultra runner and animal lover from Regina, Saskatchewan. She has completed many epic events including the Iron Horse 100 Miler in the fall of 2024 in St.Paul, Alberta. She is also an accomplished obstacle course racer and an inspiration to all that know her. And she is the first ever guest on the SaskatchewRun podcast! She will also be a co host on some episodes in the future.

Andrea Amiot is a multifaceted runner from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. She has experience in triathlon, road racing and ultra marathons. She is also a fixture in the Moose Jaw business community where she owns and operates a clothing store and a spin studio. When she isn’t busy working or raising her two children, you will see her in and around Moose Jaw training hard as she puts in the miles to frequently finish on the podium in the races she competes in. She is also the race Director for the Moose Jaw Running Festival which happens June 8th.

Race season is in full swing in Saskatchewan so on this bonus episode we talk to volunteer captain Amy Wall from the Saskatchewan Marathon about this weekend‘s huge event in Saskatoon that will have over 6000 racers. In the second half of the podcast Melissa and Jason recap this past weekend’s  Reesor 50 event. From the race start , where the runners were guided down the trails by two horses and the riders,  to the scenery and people it was all an incredible weekend.

Mandy Currie hails from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where she works as an RN, raises her two children and puts in many miles running. Tarrant Crosschild started his running career as a child by corralling horses on the Blood Tribe First Nation in Alberta. He loved running from the start and has used it as a recovery tool and as a way to bond with his family. Tarrant is a family man first and foremost but he also runs a flooring company and a running company that provides timing services for many races. He is also a community ambassador for communities around Saskatchewan and Alberta where himself and 200 other volunteers promote healing through running. He is one of the best humans you will ever meet, enjoy!
