Spring bear hunting is one of my favorite trips of the year and really look forward to it every year. This year I have been scouting some new spots and I am excited to get out and see what they look like. We also talk about an app Jared built called Hunt League and how the thing he just wanted for himself has grown into an app that could have an impact of generating data for agencies across the country. | EP 544: Remi Warren, How I Turned my Passion into my Profession | 24 Mar 2022 | 00:57:44
It’s a pleasure to have Remi Warren on the podcast again. Remi is someone I have always looked up to for a few reason. Remi is about as true to character as anyone I have met. He also has the ability to be 100% true to himself which is more rare than one would think. It can be hard to know when to be yourself and when people you expect something else of you. In this episode we talk about a side of Remi most probably don’t see or at least don’t think about as much. Remi is one of the best hunters out there but this week we tackle just how he set out to turn his passion into a profession. Remi is one of those people who just wants to hunt every day. In order to do that you need to figure out how you are also going to make a living. From guiding to TV shows Remi has tested many strategies and seems to be doing well while still enjoying what he does. Stoked for those brave enough to create the life most would consider reckless. This thing is awesome and I gotta say I really stoked about it. It’s called Rich Ideas Lab. It’s a place for lifestyle entrepreneurs who prefer gravel roads over sandy beaches. It’s a place where we can jam on business ideas, side hustles, and ways to make money that allow us that thing we all want, financial and time freedom. Great entrepreneurs have more Ideas than time, I want show you what that looks like. | EP 543: Building a Tribe, Taking a Leap of Faith, Being Backed into a Corner with Justin Wegner | 22 Mar 2022 | 00:56:14
This week I am joined by Justin Wegner of Backbone Swag. Just when Justin took the leap of faith in himself and went out on his own, life had other plans. Justin worked his way up to finally having some big contracts in the agency space just as COVID and 2020 punched everyone in the face. Every single project he was working on stopped or postponed. The problem is when that happens it is not like the bills stop coming. In this situation one could either lay down and say I guess I tried, or you can pivot and grind. Justin chose the latter. He instantly pivoted to an Idea he had about a clothing brand. After grinding, and learning, and grinding some more Backbone hit that 7 figure mark. I love that Justin calls it the 20 year overnight success. This is so true, you never see all the failures that went into what something is. This is a cool story and I hope it inspires some of you. | EP 542: Rich Ideas Lab Jam Session - How to Launch a Product | 15 Mar 2022 | 00:37:00
We are launching a men’s candle company. I have more ideas than time, some ideas are better than others I’ll admit. Ideas are actually pretty easy it’s deciding which ones to pursue, which ones are going to be dead ends that take a ton of intuition and skill. I created this thing Rich Ideas Lab for a few reasons. 1) I love jamming about business ideas, making money, and how to have the lifestyle about as much as hunting. 2) It’s the best resource I can think of to help all of you who want to do the same. From an early age I knew there was a version of life where I had freedom to go do what I wanted when I wanted. A version of life where if you want something expensive you figure out how to make that money. I worked like hell to make that happen. Then I thought I could teach a course on how to do that. While I do think that will save you years of missteps, what you really need to do is surround yourself with people who are doing that. In retrospect it’s obvious, I surrounded myself with people who pushed me. Who made me think bigger. The problem I had was that there was very few people like me. They all wanted to build businesses so they could drink umbrella drinks on a beach. I was trying to do it so I could work face off chasing elk in the mountains. SO, what is the thing I can create that is going to push me to the next level as well as help people get what they want but do not yet know how to get? This is that thing. Here is a taste of what we are doing, but it’s going to be so much bigger.
| EP 541: Feed Stores, Horse Nutrition, Tree Bark, and Side Hustles with Steven Cook | 11 Mar 2022 | 00:52:59 | |

An avid hunter Steven stumbled onto my podcast and was stoked to see someone talking about business and hunting. We hit it off and chatted about a few side hustles he would do if he wanted to make some side cash. Show Notes:

| EP 537: Lime Disease and Grizzly Encounters with Justin Klement | 24 Jan 2022 | 01:10:14 | |
Welcome to the podcast. This week I welcome Justin Klement to Montana area and we talk about his really cool new house build. Justin moved here from the PNW and decided to buy dirt and build his dream house himself. Building his remote shipping container home was quite the project and the fact that he did it through all the chaos last year is quite the feat. Justin is what we call an adult onset hunter but he is one that goes all in when he starts something new. Justin has now hunted all over the west and we talk about his struggles and lessons learned. We also talk about his insane battle with lime disease, from misdiagnosis to crazy nervous system issues. Justin has had quite the battle with lime disease. We also talk about his 2021 trip to Wyoming and multiple grizzly encounters. To include but not limited to killing a bull 7 miles deep and having a sow and cub take some of his meat on the last trip in. Back in December we ran a pilot course with 25 students and it was awesome. We launched multiple businesses and the feedback was outstanding. I think people were blown away. When I first had the idea to launch the course I didn’t know whether to make it about starting a side hustle or just about entrepreneurship. Through teach those first 25 students I have realized that this is a course about how to make time and money. So so many would be entrepreneurs start a project only to realize they only started a job and freedom to hunt as much as they want is nowhere to be seen. This course is about choosing the right ideas and or pivoting from the wrong ones. My entire life has been build around how do I create an income that allows me to go do the things I love. I have made a pile mistakes along the way and I want to teach people like me how to avoid those potholes. | EP 535: Western Bear Hunting with Joe Kondelis | 12 Jan 2022 | 01:05:22
Right after we recorded this I thought to myself; “We don’t do enough bear podcasts”. Bear hunting has been such a huge piece of hunting journey and honestly in retrospect I have more hunting memories with by buddies from hunting bears than probably any other hunts. It’s just fun! This week I am joined by Joe Kondelis who would rather hunt bears than even elk and deer. A montana native that resides in Wyoming, Joe has hunted mountain black bears since before it was cool. Joe happens to also be the head of the Western Bear Foundation, a 501c3 for bears. We chat about bears and some of the many struggles that face the species across the west. We also talk about bear hunting and how most hunters think of bears as an after thought or a way to spend a little extra time in the spring. We talk about different hunting methods across the country and even just across the west. We cover the impact of grizzly bears and how that is changing the black bear distribution. Western Bear Foundation is doing some great work and I love to see projects like this. I will be attending the upcoming Western Bear/ Wyoming Wildlife dinner this coming 29th of January in Cody Wyoming and I highly encourage anyone who wants to make the trip to join me. | EP 534: How to Kill Giants Colorado, Hunting the Voids, and New Hunter Orange Requirements. | 30 Dec 2021 | 01:12:48
This week I am joined by the newly appointed Chairman of Colorado Bowhunters Association Henry Ferguson. To be honest we the pool of candidates must have been pretty slim to elect a guy with an IG handle called @bigchiefwhackabuck but who am I to judge… Henry is a solid dude that has been on the podcast before and is a notorious big buck killer. In fact that’s why I wanted to get him on. In a state “overrun” with new hunters, he and his family seem to get it done on great animals every year. Henry will be the first to tell you he’s not trying to out hike everyone or go 10 miles in. He is consistent and knows what to look for. In this podcast we dive into some of the frameworks he uses on early and late season mule deer to be consistent. We also dive into advice for new hunters and how to avoid getting frustrated with all of the pressure. As Chairman, Mr.Ferguson is dealing with some of the big changes the Colorado Commission is working on for the 2022 season. With the death of an archery hunter this year during the muzzleloader overlap, the state is looking into options to reduce this risk. One of the options on the table is a new hunter orange requirement for archery season. The Bowhunters Association would love your feedback as hunters on this and is asking you to take a quick survey. Please do them a favor and put in your thoughts here. https://www.coloradobowhunting.org/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss Show Notes:Planning for Next Season – 01:01 Henry’s Great Advice for Colorado Muleys – 13:19 Finding CO Bucks & Handling Pressure – 21:42 Advice for CO Archery Hunters – 39:23 Current CO Hunting Issues & Audience Ask – 49:34 Survey Info & Closing Thoughts – 1:09:58 Hey Quick interruption here to tell you about the new On X elite membership partnerships. | EP 533: November Velvet Bucks, September Big Bulls, and Tasty Porcupines | 17 Dec 2021 | 01:30:33
This week I catch up with the man himself Ryan Lampers. Ryan is one of the best hunters I know and this year was nothing short of a banner year for Lampers. This week we catch up on the season and some of his highs and lows. Ryan drew a Nevada elk tag this year and in true Lampers fashion he put in a ton of time on that mountain. We chat about what he learned watching elk from pre rut through full rut. This is very interesting to hear outside of just being a very good hunting story. Most of us spend a a week or 10 days and we can always well here is what I think happened, but Lampers watched the whole picture from start to finish. In his attempt to see every bull in the unit before making a decision Lampers learned a ton about elk behavior. We also talk about the weird phenomenon that multiple people have commented on of seeing more and more velvet bucks while rifle hunting. We talk about Montana mule deer, and Ryan gives some tips to hunting with the Hawkins for the late season. All in all a really great conversation with such a good human. Ryan runs a live event every year called the Western Hunting Summit. These events are really really cool and one of the few high end events that has year after year return guests. This year will be at a new location and new speakers that will make this the best summit yet. These sell out quick so if you are interested claim your spot during presale. https://westernhuntingsummit.com/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss Show Notes:

| EP 531: Hunting Fanatic and General Contractor Marcus Gores | 26 Nov 2021 | 01:21:37 | |
Welcome to the pod, this week I am joined by Marcus Gores who just got done doing an amazing stone sheep hunt. Marcus is a hunting fanatic through and through we talk about his journey and his desire to travel to new places experiencing hunts and the adventure it leads them on. In this podcast Marcus shares his adventures of his two brutal sheep hunts. We talk about his wife getting into hunting and how that has changed his perspective, and we talk about the reality of burnout. Marcus has been on some crazy hunts and one would think he has spent a small fortune. For me it was cool to hear that he is a general contractor who works hard and plays hard. Marcus also has not only plays his cards very well when getting tags though raffles but he also talks about putting in some serious work on the phones to capitalize on other opportunities that most don’t or just won’t. A great conversation, and I hope you all enjoy. This podcast brought to you by the awesome folks at Maven Built Optics. Maven is such a cool company and a great group of people. It is time to put that dream in the memories bucket. Ty Leary has his own podcast Life in Full and is a very successful entrepreneur, pilot, hunter, and definitely not least a great family man. Ty makes me a better person there is no doubt about that. Ty had an epic trip to Kodiak with an awesome crew. | EP 528: Dream Hunts Might Just Change Your Life with Tyson Olson | 04 Nov 2021 | 01:29:56
This week Tyson Olson is back on the show. Tyson is one of the people I surround myself to push me to be better. Tyson has been on the show a few times and is just one of those people who achieves at an extremely high level. In the last episode Tyson and I touched on his processes for dream boarding, a system that he uses to dangle they proverbial carrot in front of himself. Tyson does this at such a high level and then has been able to complete that quest 3 times. This is so powerful! I think this is so important and today we dive into the dream board both for life but also for hunting. For me the dream hunts have been as much or more of a driver to push me toward success than any material things. Tyson is so clear and concise with his plans and does a phenomenal job of accomplishing goals. We also dive into his learning disabilities and how he changed that negative in his life to a positive. Tyson talks about how he never really let it get to him but when he found a way to flip the script it was a huge piece of his success story. | EP 527: The Zemlicka’s Family Hunt is on another Level | 21 Oct 2021 | 01:07:11
Lucas and Alishia are probably the most hardcore hunting couple I have ever met. They both get after it and there is rarely a day off work that they aren’t both in the mountains. When they go pregnant last year my wife and I joked that the baby better hit the ground running or it was going to get left behind. I was curious how their lifestyle would change if at all with the introduction of their daughter. I can’t say that I am surprised that they both killed 6 point bulls this year and Lucas killed yet another giant. This podcast should give hope to you who are avid hunters and hope to have a Family. What’s up beautiful podcast listeners. Today I am joined by Brad Luttrell of GoWild. Brad and I have been friends a long time, we work together on a non profit and we generally stay in touch about entrepreneurship and whats working and whats not. This week Brad and I dive into Gear and GoWilds pivot to offer gear on their platform. We talk about trends both out east and in the west. We talk about some of their growth through the pandemic and we talk about the censorship we are seeing across all social media toward the hunting industry. With YouTube setting out another attack directly hurting many of the hunting content creators it seems to be just more of the same. We talk about possible outcomes and how creators can combat this moving forward. A super interesting podcast that bounces all over the spectrum. Really hope you enjoy! Show Notes:

What’s up podcast listeners, this week Ben and I have our semi annual whiskey and catch up session to chat about how season has been going to include lessons learned. Ben and I actually linked up in the woods for 2-3 days and I actually go to watch ben put a stalk on a great bull that unfortunately did end with a dead elk. For me season has been good, other than I hate hunting when it’s as hot as it has been all year. I intentionally set my Montana dates back this year to try and hit what seems to be a later rut with high temps. I still have had my best luck in Montana in the month of October. | EP 524: The Best Wild Game Meat you Have Tasted with Andy Moeckel | 02 Oct 2021 | 01:44:11
I tasted my first flip flop deer leg at Total archery Challenge a few years back. It was like my brain didn’t know how to register how good it was with knowing what I was eating. I have had a lot of deer. I have also tasted some of the best BBQ in the world. While this is not BBQ I would put it up there with Franklin’s of Wild Game, it is that good! I have also known Andy for about 3 years and consider him a friend at this point. Andy has a crazy back story and has been through a hell of a lot. I highly recommend tuning into Fieldcraft Survival Podcast ep 247 for more on Andy’s backstory but this podcast also touches on some of those life struggles. Andy went down a bad path as a kid and the Outdoors really saved his life. Since then Andy has a new look at both life and opportunities that come along. I really appreciate Andy’s outlook and view on the world. I am also beyond stoked for him that he has taken his family recipe and turned it into passion that is taking off like crazy. | EP 522: How to Hunt the Haul Rd for Caribou | 18 Sep 2021
This was probably one of the top 3 hunts I’ve done. I absolutely love the challenge of going to a new place and trying to figure it out. The Haul Rd is the ultimate DIY figure it out hunt. I had been planning to do a fly out caribou hunt, I was headed out solo and honestly I just wanted to go to Alaska and hunt. When my good buddy Craig Van Arsdale said hey I am headed to the Haul rd I thought you know that hunt has been on my list for a lot of years. I have spent most of my life hunting solo for one reason or another. three years ago Craig and I went on a hunt in Colorado and we hit it off. Not only can Craig and I shoot the shit about crypto and business but we pretty much know what the other one is going to do before he says a word. The only problem with Craig and I hunting together is that there is literally zero voice of reason saying maybe thats a bad idea. This has lead to some of the craziest pack outs I can think of. The craziest thing is that Craig and I have been 100% success on every hunt together and we have killed within 400 yards of each other every single time. We went into the Haul rd hunt with lots of time, a willingness to figure it out, and zero safety net, aka a rifle. Craig txt me and said hey should I bring a rifle just in case? I instantly said no, I want to kill one with my bow and I don’t want to have an out. is bow or bust this trip. For those who don’t know the “Haul Rd Caribou Hunt” is a road 500 miles long from Fairbanks to Deadhorse where within 5 miles of the road it is bow only. If you have the gumption you could hike out 5 miles and shoot one with a rifle but not many people hike 5 miles across the tundra. In this podcast we breakdown our epic hunt that had it’s challenges and ended up with yet another brutal pack out. Enjoy! Show Notes:

Being a bi lateral amputee Sidney has gone on to do as much or more with prosthetics. | EP 517: Building Maven with Brendon Weaver | 12 Aug 2021
It has been really cool to watch Brendon and the team build Maven out of nothing over the years. From the first time I met Brendon and we chatted about his vision for a new optics company I was sold. Not only do they have a great product but I recognized the vision he had. In our last podcast we talked about How the idea for Maven Optics came about and the seemingly random turn of events that led a high school art teach and coach to launching one of the most disruptive new optics companies to hit the market in our generation. If you want to listen to that on check it out here. This week Brendon joins me to chat more about entrepreneurship and advice to building a great brand. I my opinion Brendon has done a great job growing the brand and staying on brand with everything they do. In this podcast we talk about the importance of knowing where you are going and how only seeking dollars will not get you where you want. | EP 515: Solo HNTR Tim Burnett | 29 Jul 2021
Last week I bombed out to the Pope & Young 60th anniversary to check out some amazing bow hunting stuff. I happened to catch up with Tim who I haven’t seen in probably a couple of years. In my Opinion Solo HNTR is one of my favorite content channels. I think Tim is doing well as an entrepreneur despite what he would say! In this podcast we talk about his recent project of opening an archery shop in Reno and catch up about the behind the scenes of the Solo HNTR brand.
Todays episode is made possible by Maven Optics an amazing Wyoming based optics company that I absolutely love. Whether you are in the market for rifle scopes or Bino’s Maven is the Company I would recommend hands down. I run the B series bino’s and in my opinion these are hands down the best bang for your buck. This year I got a pair of b.5 15×56’s and let me just say I am in love. I plan on using the b.5’s a lot this year. I have seen a been open country hunters who run only 15’s so I thought what the heck I’ll give it a try. I also just picked up an RS.3 rifle scope and will be using that on top of my 300 HCA some rifle hunts. Maven makes really high quality stuff and for the price you can’t touch it. The one thing you will hear great hunters say over and over is invest in quality glass. If you want to upgrade your hunting skills, head over to MavenBuilt .com and upgrade our glass. As I spend more time e-scouting than actually scouting these days thanks to that dad life, the new 3d mapping has been awesome. I find myself using google earth less and less and its just easy to e-scout all within On X. Another tip as we approach season, Make sure your account is up to date before season arrives and be sure to also download maps. this time of year I go through and re download any maps I will need for upcoming hunts so there is just one less thing to worry about. Justin is a beast, he has DIY’d all of his trophy game tags, he’s killed some absolute monster bucks, not to mention his canyoneering, and mountaineering feats. Last year he set a goal to put that same effort into killing a good bull and boy did he accomplish that goal.
The best part about this elk hunting story is that Justin didn’t spend weeks, or even pay some trespass fee. Justin is a weekend warrior on public ground who just worked his butt off and found a giant in that one place his gut always told him there would be one. This is an EPIC hunting story.

| EP 514: Hunting in Bear Country, What you Need to Know with Razco Holsters | 22 Jul 2021 | ||
Hunting in bear country this year? Justin Rasmussen has spent his fair share of time around bears and teaches a good amount of bear safety. He also happens to own a holster company that designs a holster for better bear protection. That might make him a bit biased toward guns over spray but we have a great conversation around the two and why both have their place. We also cover a lot of great tips about bear posture and be aware while in bear country. I have personally struggled with what to do once an animal is down and we cover some tips for processing your game quickly in bear country. I am not entirely sure if this podcast is going to make you more confident or more concerned about heading in to the hills filled with giant furry tractors just an FYI. We do tell some fairly scary stories and Grizzly attacks are no joke. Either way this is important info to arm yourself with. Use Code “TRO” for a special gift with purchase This podcast is brought to you by On X Maps. On X has some really big updates and some cool features this year. One really big feature is the new 3D mapping on desktop. Use the “TRO” code to save 20% of your on x membership. | EP 513: Building a Product Company with Kelly Jean | 16 Jul 2021
“Diagnosed with a health condition at the age 19 altered my life and by making better food choices I was able to bring back my health, feeling better than I did in my teens!” – Kelly Jean I started helping Kelly about a year ago as her and her husband took the dive to launch their own business. I could tell they had a bit of that deer in the headlights look. Launching a business is no small feat, launching in the middle of this COVID situation is even worse. Plagued with health complications Kelly set out to solve her own problem and create a healthy and delicious snack. After creating her new invention she was pushed to create a business and take it to the world. How hard it could be right? As we have done more and more entrepreneur podcast I thought it would be fun to essentially share some of the behind the scenes from one of the brands I help grow. Kelly was just open enough to share a look behind the curtain as she grows her Kelly Jean Snacks. Do me a favor and check out Kelly’s Brand and give them a follow on instagram. Show Notes:
| EP 512: Tyson Olson, Frameworks for Life, Business, and Hunting | 08 Jul 2021 | ||
Tyson is no stranger to the podcast and for good reason. Tyson would never admit this but he is very successful and in a lot of ways that is because he is a student. He is constantly learning and asking questions. If there is one thing I have learned about Tyson over the years it is that if he doesn’t know something he is 100% not scared to call whoever he has to to find the answer. In this podcast we dive into the app that Tyson has been working on for the last couple years Ultimate Hunting and Fishing League, and what it takes to constantly pivot a startup over and over. So many of these concepts are applicable to not just business but life and to hunting as well. We also talk about the huge giveaway Tyson is doing where he is giving an all inclusive hunt to a ranch in Texas to a wounded veteran. Tyson’s only ask was that if you know someone who should be nominated for this hunt package sign them up here. This podcast brought to you by the awesome folks at Maven Built Optics. I can’t say it enough Maven blows everything in a similar price point out of the water. Stop comparing products based on price. This is why I say Maven is the best bang for your buck by far and away, it’s not even close. Good glass is a must have. From their rifle scopes to binoculars, and spotters I highly recommend their optics. They also have a custom optics builder which is really cool. | EP 511: Old School Sheep Hunting and Grizzly Stories with John Reilly | 01 Jul 2021
I feel like I say this too much but this was an epic podcast. I felt like my cheeks were tired from smiling the whole conversation. If you love old school hunting stories, you are going to love this podcast. John Reilly is your average blue collar guy who became hooked on sheep hunting in the backcountry years ago. Just so he could be around it John started guiding sheep hunters. He had the bug a knew he had to do whatever it took to keep going every year. John is not the kind of guy who has social media or hunts to show off pictures on the interwebs. John 100% loves sheep and sheep country. In this podcast he shares some epic hunting stories and gives me some big tips on finding and killing big rams in the mountains. Like I said one of my favorite shows in a long time. Welcome to another podcast in the spirt of entrepreneurship and hunting. This podcast a great conversation into what it takes to grow as a musician and build a person brand. This is very applicable to not only musicians but so many people trying to grow a person brand whether to help grow a project or just to just expand your reach. Last year bow was on the podcast and talked about his first hunt. After that show Bo pulled a Colorado Archery tag and was able to get it done on his first bull elk with a bow. We kick the show off with that story and some of the things he has learned in his first year archery hunting. This week Barklow joins me to talk about all kinds of stuff he knows very well, preparedness and survival. John Barklow has spent his life putting himself in nasty weather and mountainous conditions. He is no stranger to the good old fashion suffer-fest. In this podcast we cover a lot about altitude and how it can make or break a trip. We also cover some great frameworks for not only surviving but ultimately thriving in the mountains. | EP 507: Your Why Should Push You with Mike Merrill | 03 Jun 2021
Mike aka @michaeltmerrill is one of the most upbeat happy dudes I follow on any social media. I don’t know if the guy has ever had a bad day or not but he probably wouldn’t show it if he did. Mike is a runner, he wasn’t born a runner in fact he told me there was a time when he very openly said he wasn’t running unless he was chasing a guy with a ball, or someone was chasing him with a ball. Mike found running as a way to improve his hunting ability. A funny thing happened though, it make much more than that. Michael has found a love of chasing hard things. seeking out misery if you will. Doing hard things has concreted his why both for hunting and for life. In this podcast we tell some good pack-out stories, and we talk about how to improve mental toughness and grit. How a hunt is like a marathon not a sprint. I truly enjoyed this podcast and Michaels outlook on everything. The guy gets after it thats for sure! | EP 504: Work Life Balance and Entrepreneur Life with Ty Leary | 08 May 2021
This week I catch up with my good buddy Ty Leary. Ty is a great entrepreneur and a hell of a hunter. Ty is one of the people I look to help myself become a better entrepreneur and all around human. In this podcast we dive into work life balance, the ever evolving question for us as we are both very driven while also trying to be aware and present within life. Ty recently booked his dream hunt of an Alaskan Brown bear and we talk about his upcoming plans. My biggest takeaways from this conversation could seem at at odds with each other. | Ep 503: Forrest Barnard Talks Breaking It Down Into Bite Size Pieces | 29 Apr 2021 | 01:10:44
Forrest Barnard is a life long hunter. He is a Fire Fighter by day and spends most of his season either guiding in southern Utah or Hunting for himself. We had planned to talk about bears and turkeys but right out of the gate we started talking about finding 200″ deer. This lead us down a rabbit hole of talking about information and how to sift through so much info. I asked Forrest if he was handed a random tag he had never been to, how would he break that unit down. The answer might surprise a lot of people. Todays podcast brought to you by Argali Outdoors. Argali Outdoors just launch a really cool new product that I am stoked to tell you guys about. Argali makes amazing outdoor products like their lightweight knives and killer game bags, but now Brad and the team just launch a product that is truly revolutionary. Argali has created the ultimate backcountry hunting belt. They are calling it the Kodiak and belt and this thing is awesome. I am a huge fan of gear that does multiple jobs and that is exactly what this does. Meet the first belt that allows you to sharpen, shape, and hone your broad heads, knives and even fishing hooks. This is one of those genius designs that you see and instantly think. Why didn’t I think of that. Brad and the Argali crew knocked it out of the park with this product. The belt is a very low profile slim design that looks great for every day use to functional as backcountry gear. Pre order yours before they run out of stock. Use the Code TRO on anything in the argali store and you will be entered to win a free Argali knife to be drawn at the end of June. | EP 502: Mountain Discipline with Justin Shaffer **RE-POST Full Episode | 26 Apr 2021 | 00:51:36
One of the most successful and hardest working hunters I know is Justin Shaffer. Retired army ranger and now full time director at Kuiu Justin has worked extremely hard to get where he is and really to have the success in the field that he has. In this podcast we talk about what sets him apart from everyone else, (though he’s too humble to admit that he is in a league of his own). Years of discipline and honing his craft have allowed him to set very big personal goals and then crush those goals year after year. I love that Justin came from nothing and did this all on military salary. Justin is such a great example of how you can craft your life to be what you want it to be. Since the first time I ever met Justin he has been someone I would consider a friend and someone I want to emulate. Hope you guys enjoy this conversation with a solid human being.
