Raised in Chile's capital city, Santiago "Santi" Sandoval realized that Pucon, perhaps Chile's finest outdoor mecca, was the place to be if he wanted to take advantage of the highest concentration of high quality whitewater in his corner of the planet. Tres Saltos, one of the area's cleanest and most highly revered big drops, has become one of his favorite local stouts, and he sits down with me to explain why, discuss the line, and otherwise bestow his knowledge of the rapid and its history upon us.

Looking Glass Falls is one of the Southeast's most infamous drops--dynamic lead-in, funky lip, shallow landing, the works. There have been several infamous descents on this beast from Corran Addison's ultra-low water batman costume lap to broken noses and backs. Discussing North Alabama’s classic big drop, Desoto Falls, with Kincaid Wurl. Kincaid was born and raised in Rome, Georgia, just over the state line from Little River Canyon.
