Destiny Renegades seems to be doing well, despite not reaching the heights it once had and Embracer is selling off even more IPs.

This one starts off a little different. Amazon had a massive layoff in their gaming division, some games are shutting down, or ceasing development. Halo: Campaign Evolved was revealed and is coming to Sony in 2026, Vampire Survivor's last 2 updates were revealed, and a Japan patent office rejected Pokemon's patent application.

This episode was not made with AI, but it seems as though a lot more games in the future will be. Counter-Strike 2's skin trading market got a shake up recently, Vampire Survivors and No Man's Sky are getting new updates, and there's some rumors of a new Halo game reveal. A new week, a new round of layoffs. This time, beloved studio, Bungie, earned the ire of the Destiny community after their layoffs started coming to light. Xbox is protecting their ecosystem by denying access to unauthorized accessories, Disney Dreamlight Valley devs switch from free-to-play to a paid game on release, and MK1 fans are upset about paid fatalities.

The Activision-Blizzard & Microsoft merger was approved by the UK's CMA and looks to close some time in October. Call of Duty seems like it's making its way to Game Pass already as well. Capcom wants to be seen as equals in the gaming markets and Destiny has been fending off a weeks-long DDoS attack it seems.

What a week (or two since we missed last week) huh? Gearbox studios may be up for sale, Tears of the Kingdom isn't getting any DLC, unfortunately, but we're getting a Sora amiibo. Xbox also had some documents leak and Unity creators proposed changes to their fees, upsetting many devs in the process.
