Podmas | What 12 Episodes in 3 Weeks Taught Me23 déc. 202500:09:01

Podmas is officially a wrap! 🎉 In this final episode of 2025, I’m reflecting on the highs, challenges, and surprises of releasing 12 short episodes in just three weeks—and what it taught me about creativity, efficiency, and my own limits.

From experimenting with release times to struggling with social media edits (and getting sick in the middle of it all!), this was a masterclass in adaptability. Here’s what I learned:

  • Short-form works for certain topics (like my to-do list rants or 2026 goals).

  • Consistency is harder than it looks—especially when balancing a full-time job.

  • Automation is my new best friend (hello, pre-made intros/outros for 2026!).

  • Listen to your energy: Daily releases? Fun, but not sustainable for me (yet!).

Biggest takeaway? Challenges like this reveal what’s working—and what needs to change. I’m grateful for the experiment, but I’m also ready to return to our biweekly rhythm in 2026 (with some exciting guest episodes planned!).

Thank you for listening, engaging, and growing with The Pulse this year. See you in 2026—rested, inspired, and ready for more!

Thank you for being a part of "The Pulse" community. Together, let's continue to thrive, support one another, and live our best lives, both in and out of the workplace. Stay tuned for more episodes that inspire, inform, and empower you to live with heart and resilience.

Podmas | One Last 2025 Challenge: My First Staycation21 déc. 202500:07:08

For the first time ever, I’m staying home for the holidays—no travel, just me in my apartment. As an expat who’s used to jet-setting to see family and friends, this feels unfamiliar, even intimidating. But I’m choosing to see it as a new kind of adventure: a chance to slow down, explore my own city like a tourist, and tackle those lingering to-dos (without guilt!).

In this episode, I’m sharing:

  • Why "home vacations" feel weird (especially as an expat with family scattered across the world).

  • My plan to turn staycation into soulcation: Museums I’ve never visited, cozy routines, and finally crossing off those "I’ll do it later" tasks.

  • The fear—and excitement—of solitude in the darkest days of winter.

This isn’t just about saving money or time. It’s about rediscovering the joy of where I live and giving myself permission to rest—truly rest—without the pressure to "do" anything.

Your turn: Have you ever taken a "home vacation"? How did you make it special? Hit reply—I’d love your tips!

Podmas | My 2025 Successes19 déc. 202500:10:25

This year, I realized something powerful: Celebrating small wins isn’t selfish—it’s essential. In this reflective episode of The Pulse, I’m sharing why I’m bringing back my monthly mini-recaps (a personal diary of sorts) to remind myself of all the moments—big and small—that made 2025 meaningful.

From running my longest race (27K!) to launching this podcast (and sticking with it!), I’ve learned that achievements aren’t just about the big milestones. They’re also about:

  • The rainy runs that didn’t make it into Strava highlights.

  • The resilience of navigating tough times with my dog.

  • The tiny steps out of my comfort zone (like finally solving a Rubik’s Cube!).

I’m also reintroducing a private monthly recap—not for likes, but for me—to remember the joy, progress, and even the mundane moments that add up to a life well-lived.

Your turn: What’s one win (big or small) you’re proud of from 2025? Hit reply—I’d love to celebrate with you!

Podmas | Why I Wish my To-Do List was Empty17 déc. 202500:10:25

Let’s be honest: Our to-do lists are never really empty—and that’s okay. In this raw, reflective episode of The Pulse, I’m diving into the weight of constant busyness, the guilt of unfinished tasks, and why I’m learning to prioritize what truly matters (and let go of the rest).

From work demands to personal errands (like decluttering my basement or fixing a TV remote), I’ve realized that not everything needs to be done now. Using tools like Notion, I’ve started organizing my tasks into:

  • Daily priorities (what must get done).

  • Weekly/Monthly tasks (what can wait).

  • The “backlog” (things that matter but aren’t urgent).

This isn’t about perfection—it’s about giving myself permission to breathe. Because when we’re constantly carrying the weight of undone tasks, it affects our mental space, our sleep, and even our joy.

Key takeaways: ✅ Work smarter, not harder: Focus on true priorities (at work and home). ✅ The art of letting go: Some tasks can wait—and that’s okay. ✅ Self-compassion: Your worth isn’t tied to your productivity.

P.S. What’s one thing you’re giving yourself permission to postpone or drop this week? Hit reply and tell me—I’d love to cheer you on!

Podmas | My 2025 Book of the Year: Atomic Habits15 déc. 202500:07:18

If I had to pick one book that shaped my entire year, it would be Atomic Habits by James Clear. In this episode of The Pulse, I’m sharing why this book became my 2025 game-changer—and how its lessons helped me build better habits, break the bad ones, and make progress without burnout.

I spent almost a year reading (and re-reading!) this book, and here’s what made it stand out:

  • Practical, actionable advice: No fluff—just clear steps to make habits obvious, attractive, easy, and satisfying.

  • The 2-Minute Rule: How tiny actions (like reading one page or rolling out my yoga mat) turned into consistent routines.

  • Grace for imperfection: Why it’s okay to start small, fail, and adjust—without guilt.

This isn’t just a book review—it’s a love letter to slow, sustainable growth. Whether you’re looking to improve your health, productivity, or mindset, Atomic Habits gives you the tools to start where you are and build from there.

P.S. I’d love to hear: What’s the one book that changed your year? Reply and let me know!

Podmas | One Thing for Me, Every Day13 déc. 202500:05:52

What if one tiny moment of pure joy—just for you—could transform your entire day? In this episode of The Pulse, I’m sharing a simple but powerful practice I’ve embraced for years: doing one thing per day that’s solely for my joy. No goals. No productivity. No apologies.

From sipping hot chocolate during a Harry Potter marathon to running outside with my dog just because it feels fun, these moments aren’t about achievement—they’re about reclaiming my time, my happiness, and my peace. Especially during busy or tough seasons, these little pockets of joy act like a reset button. They remind me that I’m more than my to-do list, and so are you.

In this episode, I’ll share:

  • Why "just for me" moments matter (even if they seem silly).

  • How to carve out joy in 5 minutes—or less.

  • Why these moments are especially powerful in winter (hello, shorter days and cozy vibes!).

  • My challenge to you: Try one joyful, expectation-free moment today. No pressure—just pure you.

Because life isn’t just about the big wins. It’s about the small, sparkly moments that make it all worthwhile.

Leadership: What my friends taught me26 oct. 202500:26:36

Leadership isn’t just about what we learn in the office—it’s also shaped by the people we surround ourselves with. I’m incredibly lucky to have a group of friends who’ve taught me invaluable lessons, deeply influencing how I approach leadership. Here are five insights that have made all the difference:

  • Value Flexibility: The best plans aren’t always the most rigid ones. My friends have shown me that flexibility can lead to unexpected joys and discoveries. In leadership, embracing adaptability creates a dynamic environment where innovation thrives.

  • Incorporate Joy and Lightheartedness: Laughter and fun aren’t just for outside of work—they’re essential ingredients for a positive atmosphere. Whether it’s sharing a meal or enjoying a light moment, these experiences remind me that joy boosts team morale and makes challenges easier to tackle.

  • Adapt Communication to Individual Needs: Everyone communicates differently—some prefer texts, others love deep conversations. Learning to tailor my approach ensures everyone feels heard. In leadership, adapting to different styles builds a more cohesive and productive team.

  • Strengthen the Group, Empower the Individual: A strong team lifts each other up. With my friends, our collective focus on success helps everyone shine. In leadership, this approach fosters a sense of belonging and builds a dynamic, high-performing environment.

  • Celebrate Diversity: My friends come from all walks of life, bringing unique perspectives and strengths. Embracing diversity leads to richer interactions and more vibrant ideas. In the workplace, valuing diverse talents drives innovation and inclusivity.

Friendships have been my greatest teachers, showing me that leadership is as much about the heart ❤️ as it is about the mind 🧠. By applying these lessons, we can create more meaningful and impactful professional relationships.

I’ve got so many more learnings to share—let me know if you’d like a Part 2! In the meantime, I’d love to hear: What have your friends taught you? Share your stories in the comments!

Pause, Reflect, Reclaim: The Power of Rewriting Your Story12 oct. 202500:21:38

Life moves fast, but what if the key to understanding yourself lies in slowing down? In this episode of The Pulse, we explore the transformative power of pausing to reflect—not just on what happened in your past, but on how it shaped you. It is all about welness. Your past isn’t just a series of events; it’s a language your body remembers, a compass guiding your present, and a story you have the power to reinterpret.

We’ll dive into:

  • The Art of Reflection: How revisiting your past with curiosity (rather than judgment) can reveal hidden lessons and strengths.

  • Your Body as an Alarm System: The physical and emotional signals that act as echoes of unresolved experiences—and how to listen to them.

  • Reclaiming Your Narrative: Practical ways to reframe your story, turning old wounds into wisdom and old patterns into purpose.

This isn’t about rewriting history—it’s about rewriting your relationship with it. Join us as we uncover how to pause, reflect, and ultimately reclaim the power of your own story.

Question for you: Would you like to add a call-to-action or a personal anecdote to make the description more engaging? Or perhaps highlight a specific theme (e.g., healing, self-discovery, or resilience)?

The 5 to fun shift - Finding a hobby as an adult14 sept. 202500:41:06

In this episode, we explore the transformative power of hobbies for busy adults. Whether you’re feeling stuck in a routine, craving creativity, or simply looking for a way to unwind, finding the right hobby can be a game-changer. But how do you start? We break down a practical, step-by-step approach to help you discover a hobby that fits your lifestyle, energizes you, and brings joy—without adding stress.

Key Steps to Finding Your Hobby:

  • Define What You’re Looking For Hobbies come in all shapes and sizes. Start by asking yourself:

Tip: Think about activities that align with your personality and interests.

  • Fit It Into Your Calendar A hobby should enhance your life, not overwhelm it.

Tip: Start small. Even 30 minutes a week can make a difference.

  • Choose Your Space Where will you practice your hobby?

Tip: Make sure your environment is accessible and inviting.

  • Set a Trial Period Commit to trying your new hobby for a set amount of time.

Tip: If it’s not fun or fulfilling, it’s okay to pivot. The goal is enjoyment, not obligation.

  • Create Fun, Flexible Goals Set objectives that motivate you without pressure.

Tip: Celebrate small wins to stay motivated!

  • Find a Buddy Accountability and shared experiences make hobbies more enjoyable.

Tip: If you can’t find a buddy, track your progress in a journal or app.

  • Match Your Energy Levels Schedule your hobby for times when you feel most energized.

    • Tip: Low energy? Opt for relaxing hobbies like reading or knitting.

Why This Matters:

Hobbies aren’t just about filling time—they’re about reconnecting with yourself, reducing stress, and adding joy to your daily life. As adults, we often forget the importance of play and curiosity. This episode is your permission slip to explore, experiment, and embrace the fun shift!

Call to Action: What hobby have you been curious about? Share your ideas or experiences with us using #5ToFunShift. Let’s inspire each other to make time for joy!
