In this episode we were invited into the studio of Industrial Park Productions to talk with Raven Blue and Jeff McLennan about their upcoming short film Homeless, due to be released Aug. 18th at the Third Shift Contemporary Arts Festival. This time around we joined sessions from both of Gram Lewis' visits. The first was recorded for our pilot run, episode 2, on January 6, 2015. Using a very cheap microphone and a 4 track recorder in one shot in a large living room. The quality was definitely lacking and our ability and knowhow behind the editing really wasn't there either. However, with out the test run of these earlier episodes we wouldn't be here today.

The second half was recorded on January 17, 2018 for episode 17 at the our previous studio 'The Space'. With some investment in new equipment and a proper recording space (along with a large learning curve) we ended up with a much improved session.

Both sessions are fairly short so it just made sense to play them together and left them mostly unaltered and as close to their original quality as we could (while cutting out some noise).

   This was a session from Austin's first appearance on the show, which aired on February 24, 2017. This particular set was a lot of fun for us, on both ends of the mic. Recording live was still new to us and as a result, a few mic pops and washouts are occasionally heard. Sadly a few tunes had to be cut from the final audio due to some recording errors on our end (Hey, we were still new to the game). For us here at the Pagan Place it's fun to listen back on older recordings made with old, beat up and cheap as can be equipment. Sometimes it's surprising we got the awesome results we did, which really is a testament to the artists.  we hope you enjoy this session that lead into episode 5 of the podcast.
