Happy almost Thanksgiving! To celebrate the history of our nation, we're going back to our roots as New Englanders to do a NEW ENGLAND MOVIE DRAFT! We may be biased, but some of our favorite movies take place in Massachusetts and the like, so we're bringing on two fellow New Englanders to draft some of the best movies that take place in this part of the country to get in touch with our pilgrimy roots.
We're kicking off our superhero-themed month to talk about the 2005 Disney movie, Sky High. Join us as we talk about homecoming dances, late bloomers, the popular kids, and trying to gain super powers (oh my...).
It's the 10-year anniversary of this pop culture phenomenon, and on March 23rd, 2012, the whole world was watching.
Trevor and AJ take you back to Panem (and high school) to talk about The Hunger Games, what it meant for us as teenagers, where Lionsgate dropped the ball on this franchise, and whether or not it holds up after a decade.
Our first R-rated movie here on The Old Kids Movies, we're answering the age-old question: "How come nobody's ever tried to be a superhero?"
A movie that was hugely impactful for us as teenagers, it's a violent, profanity-filled romp that's certainly not for kids. That's why we waited to cover it this month. Enjoy!

Revisit the live-action adaptation of the Disney classic, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, in this week's episode! We talk about the descension from clever and witty dialogue into a CGI-filled and dialogue-light second half. The dogs were cute the whole time, though.
Get ready for a whale of a time this week. Trevor and AJ talk about 1993's Free Willy! Tune in for discussions about foster parenting, 80s vibes in a 90s movie, and the ethics of caged animals.
Anyways, we talk for some of the time out the movie about a Zebra who wants to be a race hors and the rest of the time about unrelated stuff. This was a fun episode to record. We hope you enjoy listening to it.
We're kicking off pet month with a true boy-and-his-dog movie. A relic of the 90s, Air Bud adds a dog movie to a basketball movie for one of the influential films from our childhood. Spawning more than a dozen sequels and spin-offs, Air Bud is a true millennial classic that was long overdue for a discussion on The Old Kids Movies.
It's morphin' time! For our 75th episode of The Old Kids Movies, we're joined by Power Ranger guru Derek Aiello to talk about the first Power Rangers feature film from 1995. We talk about bad dancing, worse effects, but an overall surprisingly good time.
Merry Christmas! For its 20th anniversary, we have one of our most heated discussions on record on 2004's Christmas with the Kranks. AJ and Trevor tap into why this critically maligned Christmas film has since gotten reappraisal – and whether or not that second look has been deserved.

Blast into outer space with Walter, Danny, Lisa, the astronaut, and – of course – Old Kids Trevor & AJ as we recount 2005's Zathura. This Jon Favreau movie remains one of the most enjoyable kids flicks to come out from that time – and we'll break down why we still like it.
