Melany Nyx sits down with "Knightfall", we talk about the process of making the music, collaborations and life in general! Knightfall is the studio project of former Evince Ethos Keyboardist Keith Dombrowski. Keith had taken a decade long hiatus from music to start a family. During Covid the idea of returning to music under a studio project took form and Keith started writing again. Partnering with Patrick Goble (Guitars) they started working in the studio to bring the music to light. Italian powerhouse vocalist Dee Wolf was discovered through Fiverr and hired to lend her amazing vocals to the project . “Waiting For You” was released as the first single of the upcoming "Destiny Calling" album. This album is going to be a blend of Symphonic/Power Metal, Melodic Rock influences. More guest musicians have been announced for the album. An energic alternative rock trio whose particularity is to mix french lyrics and dynamic rock music with the subtile vibrations and rythmics of the Didgeridoo, a traditional instrument originally owned by the Aborigines in Australia. The strong connexion between Dam (lead singer, guitar and didgeridoo player) and his adoptive australian aboriginal family, the doonooch dancers, had him learned the complexity of the didgeridoo and incorporate it to a modern music style.From 1994 to 2008 Soleil noiR is in France and Dam, Seub (Bass) and Niko (Drums) perform more than 1000 shows as well as releasing albums like "Alternatifs" or "Ici, Ailleurs". Singles "Au coeur" and "Rien à faire" are aired on several radios across Europe at that time.In 2008 the band is exhausted and mutually agrees to a break. Little would they know at that time this pause would last for 14 years.Dam moves to Canada and become a Canadian citizen in 2014. The band has hard hitting vocals and catchy riffs, with a delicate balance of firey solos. They like to write hard hitting, explosive, rock/metal with grooving-sing-a-long choruses. Erica Mayr (Vocals, formerly iScream & A Bed of Razors), Tom Wurst (Guitar, formerly Scarwork & Deny the Sun) and Ron Dickum (Drums, formerly Vendetta & A Bed of Razors) founded the band after the dissolution of their prior project in the summer of 2014. After several rounds of member changes over the years, they have finalized the current line up with David Cilluffo (Guitar, Thirty3 Cell, solo musician and session artist) and Mike Lohse (Bass, formerly Steamdriver and Negative Copy). Storms Within were the recipients of the 2017 and 2018 Rock Erie Music Awards (REMA) for metal music. Singer, Erica, won the Noteworthy Music Competition in Erie, PA in 2018. They have also shared the stage with national acts such as Leaves Eyes, Texas Hippie Coalition, Doro Pesch of Warlock, 9Electric and City of the Weak. The band has been working hard over the last year recording their album, ‘Minds of the Wicked’ to be released January of 2023. The first single released is titled, ‘Justified’ releasing June 10, 2022, and ‘Leadership’ releasing August 5, 2022.
