The move to Scotland is done, the settling-in process is ongoing. Still waiting for all our gear and Office equipment to arrive.

Notwithstanding have been busy on the camera and the golf course.

Anyways. I am going to roll out some of our most popular Episodes that I believe many of the newer listeners haven't heard previously and many of our long-term family would love to hear again.

An icon of the industry, Roger has been a driving force in the product development space for Callaway for well over 20 years. There are not many if any of Callaway's icon forged irons or wedge products that Roger has not had a hand in the design or development.

 

In this chat, Roger shares the story of his formative years in the industry, his work with Callaway Pro Staff legend Phil Mickelson and his thoughts on the modern wedge game.

 

I credit a chance opportunity to meet and play a round of golf with Roger as one of the main factors that reignited my appreciation for the history of the game and modern golf club evolution.

Really when you sit back and think of the global golf landscape and how it continues to evolve, 2023 will most likely be one of the more controversial years we have seen in the modern era.

For the Podcast, we have also had our ups and downs and highs and lows. However, one thing is for sure we have made every effort to consistently deliver our very own style of show week in and week out.

We know that's not for everyone, but if you are one of the many loyal MLOG'rs around the country and globe, we appreciate you. We do this out of love, there is no income or sponsors, and we like that. We understand that there are now literally dozens of podcasts to listen to and we are proud to have stood the test of time at 271 Eps. Stats suggest that most podcasts don't make it past 20. We weren't even out of the Nissan then...hahaha

2024 is going to be another year of podcasting. One thing we can promise you is that the MLOG podcast will be somewhat different. It might take a few months to evolve, but we are committed to building and improving.

OLD SALTY GOLF

If you are like me and are a product of the 80s Golf Scene or just have a newfound passion for retro golf then you may also have admired the work of OLD SALTY... and along that journey, you may have wondered. Who is OLD SALTY? 

We have been well and truly entertained by OLD SALTY since he found his way to the world of Instagram. We bonded over golf gear on an era that was different to today, we shared some great messages and the humour was always there to brighten even the most un-saltiest of COVID 19 Lockdown Days.

Ultimately my investigative PODCAST podcastery instincts got the better of me and we tracked the Saltiest of Salty Golf Dogs down and we were granted a sitting.

Imagine the time you got your first puppy, well in a golfing podcast sense, this interview was very much like that for me.

All jokes aside. Dan and Charlie are doing an amazing job keeping the history and spirit of the game from days gone by alive and the MLOG team amongst many more love their work.
