Coercive Control with Jess
Saison 8 · Épisode 21
mardi 10 mars 2026 • Durée 52:00
In this powerful episode, Stef chats with Jess, the force behind @jessrunsforsurvivors, to discuss the reality of navigating life after coercive control. While escaping an abusive relationship is a monumental feat, Jess sheds light on the "hidden" battle that follows: co-parenting under court orders with a high-conflict ex-partner. She shares her invaluable, battle-tested strategies for staying calm when the family court system feels chaotic, offering a lifeline to mothers who feel trapped in a cycle of post-separation abuse.
Beyond the legal and domestic hurdles, we dive into Jess’s transformative journey as an athlete particularly advocating for Mums In Need. She reveals how running became her ultimate tool for processing trauma, allowing her to physically outrun the stress.

How to talk about sex, consent and p*rn literacy with your kids.
Saison 2 · Épisode 2
mardi 25 avril 2023 • Durée 54:23
It’s not a case of if children see images that may disturb them, it’s when. And in this episode Bethan and Stef are joined by vice principal Eoghan Cleary who, in response to the students needs at his school, has created a programme to help teenagers talk about these subjects.
Parents learning the skills and language of talking about these areas is also essential and starts with every parent developing a non-judgemental, curious and open attitude to these subjects, which can be a million miles away from what you were taught.
This episode contains language of a sexual and explicit nature.
