As with all of our roundtable episodes, we hope you will continue this conversation with your own friends and family the next time entertainment is blamed for a real life atrocity. Joe was on location directing his latest film when this roundtable was recorded but he weighs in with his perspective on the subject during an extended introduction.

Starting out with a dream of serving in the United States Air Force, Schultz unexpectedly found himself pivoting into the theater where he would cast a (then) unknown actor named Al Pacino in one of his very first plays. Through sheer ambition, tenacity, and raw talent, Schultz would pave his own way into Hollywood. He would go on to direct some of the biggest actors, comedians, and musicians in the history of entertainment and now… 50 years later… Michael Schultz is one the most prolific directors in American television and a bonafide hero of Black cinema. Best of all, he has also managed to remain one of the most humble human beings you'll ever be blessed to meet.

In this master class of an episode, Schultz shares his amazing career journey with a truly starstruck Adam, Joe, and Arwen. Prepare to be inspired, friends!

Now Deborah is back in the director's chair for what could be her most personal work to date, a slasher film that delves into the world of stalkers and the trials of horror convention culture entitled 13 FANBOY. Her film boasts a "killer" cast (Dee Wallace, Corey Feldman, Kane Hodder, etc) and is already a huge hit on the Amazon charts! Deborah discusses how she started in the business, how 13 FANBOY was a passion project (not just for her but for many of the actors in her cast who regularly appear at cons), and the reasons she loves writing and directing even more than acting. Dr. Arwen provides "Hollywood Therapy" for a writer who is feeling ready to take the next step with their initial ideas and outlines.

Filmmaking team Chris Cullari & Jennifer Raite (12 DEADLY DAYS, THE SLEEPOVER) have been working together for years but it took a pandemic for the dynamic duo to hit the dirt (literally) and write and direct their first feature film, THE AVIARY, starring Malin Ackerman, Chris Messina and Lorenza Izzo (coming to theaters and VOD April 29th).
