| Ep 151: Busy vs Productive | 30 Jan 2023 | 00:30:29 | |
If you find yourself constantly saying that you're so busy but aren’t really feeling productive and getting things you want done, it may be time to make a conscious change. Ask yourself these 3 questions to determine if your choices will make you feel busy or productive. Essential: WHY- Is this worth my time? Enhancement: HOW- How will this serve me, my family, and God? Extra: WHAT- What can I do to simplify the process? Since these are some pretty thoughtful questions, I found some scriptural references for backup. The verses are listed below.
Highlights from this episode: (03:13) 3 simple steps (07:01) Is this really worth your time? (10:42) Serving your family, your God and yourself (15:29) Break things down using The 1% Rule (21:08) Outsourcing to God is free (24:43) Comparison is the thief of joy
Mentioned on this episode: Ep 143 : Overscheduled to a Fault
Matthew 11:28 Ecclesiastes 4:6 Psalm 127:2 Luke 9:25 Matthew 6:34 Jeremiah 42:3 Proverbs 21:5
I hope this episode offers some clarity around intentionally choosing to rest, serve, and be more productive versus busy. I’m wishing you abundant blessings in the year ahead!

| Ep 061: Moms Helping Moms with Talitha Phillips | 10 May 2021 | 00:33:08 | |
The rockstar Mom and CEO of Claris Health, Talitha Phillips, is sharing her story and her mission to help other moms on this week’s episode!
I’m overjoyed to have this dream guest on my podcast, especially during the month of May when we are celebrating moms!! Literally, I wrote down in my journal over a year ago her name as an amazing future guest and now she’s here, talking about the loving way Claris came into her life to help her deal with a difficult decision, and how God opened up the doors 20 years ago to become a leader within this great organization.
I’ve been a big fan of the work Talitha and the team at Claris Health do to serve the community, and more specifically moms, as they navigate pregnancy, before, during, and after so that families feel supported and loved every step of the way.
They provide diapers and wipes, parenting classes, pregnancy education and prevention, a mobile medical service for those without transportation, support through the adoption process, counseling around abortion, bible studies, and so much more.
I’m honored to know her and support this wonderful mission!

| Ep 060: Ask For Help | 03 May 2021 | 00:24:59 | |
In May we celebrate Moms and this month on the podcast will be all about them! Most days we are crushing this Mom thing (give yourself more credit if you think you aren’t), and on the days that feel too overwhelming, we have to remember to ask for help!
On this episode I got real about the bad day I was having. I was emotional (can you hear it in my voice??), frustrated, and at a loss for what to do about some parenting stuff that kept coming up.
As a busy, working Mom of littles, I have to remind myself that I don’t have to have it all figured out and that it totally takes a village! The struggle is real some days, and we don’t have to be everything to everyone. Instead, we can ask for help. We can tap into all the resources around us like doctors, teachers, coaches, pastors, other moms, and my favorite source of strength...God. Sometimes I’m praying hourly. How about you?
Highlights from this episode:
{6:46} There's no handbook for being a mom {9:18} It's ok to not have it all figured out {11:35} What about outside help? {15:48} A celebration of moms {18:15} Permission to ask for help

| Ep 059: An Organized Bathroom | 26 Apr 2021 | 00:23:29 | |
On the final episode of the April Spring Cleaning Series, I’m talking about getting your bathroom organized and going back to make sure some of the organization you may have put in before is still working for you. As a busy mom of littles I know that bathrooms can become a high traffic area in your home that can quickly become overrun with bathtub toys, everyone’s toothbrushes and towels, unused travel-sized products from 6 years ago, misplaced clothes on the floor, and certainly the oddities that never belonged in a bathroom at all! When utilizing drawer dividers to contain your items, mounting helpful hooks, and maximizing the vertical space in the cabinets under your sink, you’ll have your bathroom countertops cleared of clutter for a more efficient and zen space. Heaven knows I’ve used it as an escape room some days too, so it needs to be serving us in more ways than just a bathroom!
Highlights from this episode: {3:14} Purging your bathroom {6:11} Using white, wipeable containers in bathroom drawers {10:14} Taking care of your hair brushes {12:48} Using age appropriate organisers in your bathroom {13:31} Encouraging kids to keep their bathroom space organized and clutter-free {16:39} Acrylic tower organizers for under the sink area {19:43} Your bathroom as an extension of the style in your home

This week I’m talking about how to organize that awkwardly shaped closet under your stairs for our third week of the Spring Cleaning Series (now affectionately known as the “We can do better!” Series). After a quick recap of the beginning episodes in April about countertops & entryways, I discuss how to get this storage closet organized in 3 simple steps! Whether it’s being used for holiday decor, memorabilia storage, an activity closet, your luggage and surfboard collection, an adorable kid cave for book reading and making sweet memories, or a catch-all for everything you own, it should definitely be working best for you and your family! Using The 3 E’s Philosophy, let’s maximize that space to its fullest potential and have your future self thanking you for investing the time in a good purge, donation of unused items, and outfitting it with the proper organization!

| Ep 057: A Welcoming Entryway | 12 Apr 2021 | 00:20:44 | |
To continue our Spring Cleaning Series this month, I’m talking about how to make our entryway a welcoming place for our guests and ourselves! It’s so easy to come into our home with our arms full of stuff like a stack of mail, keys, bags, sunglasses, groceries, work items, kid activities, coats, backpacks, and drop them on the floor or side table with the best of intentions of putting them away later. Suddenly your entryway becomes a dumping ground for everything you’ve used that day, plus the entire family’s shoes they’ve worn throughout the week. It looks more like a locker room that a tornado blew through than a great first impression that paints a picture of your inviting home. We can do better! In this episode, I talk about some simple and very effective ways to clear the clutter, use some best practices for keeping it looking tidy as you organize on autopilot, and add some style that represents you in your entryway and says, “Welcome!”
Highlights from this episode: {2:02} You are worth the time and investment of creating a warm and welcoming entryway {3:32} Storing your shoes and using catch all baskets {8:35} Storing other entryway items {9:12} Creating routines for children when they come home from school {10:56} Styling a small table for your entryway {11:41} How to create a bench space for your guests at your front door {13:26} Getting your family on board with keeping your entryway organized {15:08} Using artwork in your space {17:16} How organizing this small space can have a big impact {17:41} Making sure that clutter is not doing the talking for your home

This one is for anyone who thinks it’s time to up the organization in their home, not just busy Moms of littles. Full disclosure: I hate cleaning. Yep! Don’t let that stuff get in the way of your creativity or your peace of mind. | Ep 052: Organizing in My 30’s | 08 Mar 2021 | 00:22:38
I’ll be hitting the big 4-0 in March so I thought a little organization self-reflection would make for a fun episode! This week I’m talking about what it’s been like organizing in my 30’s as a new busy mom of littles. In those early days, it was all about hiding all the baby gear and toys in neutral baskets, embracing hand-me-downs, and getting really good at doing the purge when they quickly outgrew things. | Ep 050: Create a Servant’s Heart | 22 Feb 2021 | 00:30:24
On this milestone EPISODE 50 that wraps up our Desires of Your Heart series, I’m talking about how to create and encourage a servant’s heart in our kiddos and ourselves!
When my parents named me Paige, which literally means “to serve,” my path was set. I’ve always loved finding a way to help, (selfishly) because I love the feeling I get when I can surprise someone with something they need, assist them in getting organized, or volunteer for a deserving cause. It fills up my heart with joy and excitement!
That’s exactly what I want my kids to feel...joy and excitement when they find a way to serve others, using their God-given gifts.
I’m a firm believer in teaching them ways to help at a really young age. On this episode you’ll hear suggestions for ways they can serve and how to encourage and reward that behavior. Creating a servant’s heart in our kids will teach them to seek out blessings in helping others!
Be sure to read more about my Online Kids Course in the link below for more ideas about organizing your kids space, rewarding positive behavior, prepping healthy, yummy snacks and lunches on Sundays for the whole week in just 15 minutes, traveling and shopping with littles, and so much more!
Here are the highlights from this episode:
{2:29} Introduction to creating a servant’s heart {4:23} How doing the work you love never feels like a job {6:42} Thinking about what God has given you as a gift {7:52} How to identify your gifts and what you want to do more of {9:04} How to create a servant’s heart in our children {13:34} How to take what God has given us and use it to serve others {15:50} Acknowledging a servant’s heart in others {19:30} Giving kids opportunities to do wonderful things for the family and themselves {21:35} Using the rockstar jar

| Ep 049: Share Your Personality | 15 Feb 2021 | 00:43:27 | |
On this episode, I discuss the four basic temperaments and how they shape our personalities. It’s always so interesting to learn more about what makes us special and our kids too!
I read about this study years ago as a teenager, took the Wired That Way personality profile, and took it again when I was in a Mommy and Me class as a new mom. It’s pretty funny how parenthood can affect our personality...or maybe that’s just the lack of sleep!
Find the link below to take it yourself and learn which parts of your personality shine, which traits you’d like to sharpen, and which you might like to soften. No matter what you discover about yourself, it’s so important to share it with others. God made each of us so unique and our personalities allow us to share our gifts with the world!

| Ep 048: Embrace Your Love Language | 08 Feb 2021 | 00:50:11 | |
This week on the podcast I’m talking about knowing and embracing our love language! Not only that but choosing to show others love based on theirs.
If you’ve never read Gary Chapman’s book, The 5 Love Languages, I highly recommend it. I’m definitely a product of that book. My parents discovered it when I was a kid and it’s been fun and certainly enlightening to learn more about how we give and receive love best.
Embracing my love language wasn’t always easy. I resisted it for a while because it felt a little superficial. (You’ll have to listen to find out why!) As I’ve gotten older, however, I realize that it’s more beneficial to me and my loved ones if I just embrace it! I hope this episode encourages you to do the same. It’s amazing how much it’s helped me to know my kids’ love language and husband’s too, so we can all connect with each other’s hearts on a much deeper level.

| Ep 047: Organize Your Heart | 01 Feb 2021 | 00:34:06 | |
In this episode, I introduce a new series for February that’ll be focused on the desires of our heart! As a busy mom of littles, I need the constant reminder of what the good book says. “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
Organizing our home, wardrobe, kids, and schedule is certainly a good thing. Making sure that we prioritize the desires of our heart is even better!
The world was flipped upside down in 2020 and as we recover and move forward in the new year toward positivity and growth, I believe we must be led by our heart.
Kindness and love for others starts with showing up for ourselves too. On this episode, I share my 3 E’s to begin the decluttering and organizing of our heart. God has so many blessings and promises for our future, and I’m learning that the more I lean into that, the more I see Him giving me the desires of my heart. I hope you find comfort in this scripture and peace and joy in your heart.

| Ep 046: Making Your Bed | 25 Jan 2021 | 00:22:11 | |
Starting off the day by making your bed is the simplest way to immediately feel like you’ve accomplished something and sets the tone for more productivity!
Can this whole episode really be about making your bed? Oh yes! It starts with a funny story that even the dads listening may appreciate. Then I talk about the way we enlist help from the other people sharing your space so you don’t have to feel like making your bed has to be an annoying stressor everyday.
I suggest some ways to make it oh so simple when choosing proper bedding that will feel like a lot less effort when making and a speedier process to launder.
The truth is, this intentional, little act of organizing your space can have a big impact on how the rest of your day goes.

| Ep 045: Living in Organization Limbo | 18 Jan 2021 | 00:25:56 | |
Who can relate to having a few (or a lot) of things that are in between wearing or using? If you have kids, especially, you may understand hanging on to some hand-me-downs they haven’t quite grown into yet, or might be hanging on too long to things you should probably let go.
This can be true for furniture, or bedding, or any other things you’ve gotten a while ago that may not be your style these days, but you want to keep for now because it does the job.
That’s what I call living in organization limbo.
It can be tricky to know the best way to organize and style these items. So, on this episode I suggest some ways to contain these things while in limbo and how to be grateful for what you have right now.
Here are the highlights from this episode:
{4:16} What is organization limbo? {8:12} Organizing the items we want to keep but don't need yet into properly labeled bins {8:59} Organizing gifted furniture {13:14} Using the 3 E's in 2021 to map out your year of organizing {14:25} Using clear plastic boxes to keep your child's hand-me-downs in {15:23} Deciding on the items you'll use again and which you'll purge {19:01} Paige's Top 3's {20:51} Displaying your sentimental items

| Ep 041: Wrapping Station Organization | 21 Dec 2020 | 00:33:17 | |
Whether gifts are your love language year round or just for the holidays, I suggest ways you can have an organized wrapping station anywhere in your space!
On this episode, I start with sharing some holiday themes we’ve used and encourage picking wrapping paper and gift bags to coordinate with any themes you may choose for your upcoming holidays or special occasions. This will allow your beautifully wrapped gifts to become part of your decor!
When you have a designated space in your home for wrapping presents, you can shop ahead and have gifts awaiting every occasion, or grab those last minute deals and wrap them thoughtfully and quickly on-the-go!
No matter how large or small your space, it’s possible to create an organized wrapping station in a closet, cabinet, drawer, door, wall, or even in the trunk of your car! Having proper organizers like drawer dividers, over-the-door hangers, moveable wall mounts with baskets of all sizes, under-the-bed containers, or an umbrella stand to hold all those long rolls of paper in place is the key to wrapping station organization.
There you can include some additional accessories like tape dispensers for your wrist, scissors and wrapping paper cutters, double-sided tape, gift toppers, gift cards, ribbons, bows, tags, batteries, and pens and markers to personalize all your fun surprises!
Highlights from this episode:
{5:37} Having a theme for your holiday gift wrapping {9:10} Shopping for smaller gifts all year round to take the pressure off at the holidays {10:02} Creating a space at home to store gifts until they’re ready for wrapping {10:30} What a socially distanced holiday looks like when planning your shopping {12:19} Using over the door organizers {14:44} Extras to add to your wrapping station {17:27} How wrapping station organization can be all year round {19:19} Putting together a basket of gift toppers {23:33} Putting thought into how your gifts are wrapped no matter the cost {25:39} How to organize your wrapping paper rolls {29:40} Using rods for ribbons and paper

| Ep 040: Organize and Style Your Holidays | 14 Dec 2020 | 00:22:02 | |
With the final holiday season of the year fast approaching, I thought I’d share 3 simple steps to organize and style them so they are working best for the whole family!
The 3 E’s to apply to your holidays:
Essential: Self Care/Visualize Success
Enhancement: Write down your 3 E’s
Extra: Delegate Responsibilities
Taking care of ourselves is more important than ever and certainly affects those around us. The last thing we want as we’re trying to create fun and lasting memories for the holidays is to feel stressed and cause anxiety for our loved ones.
Plan ahead to give yourself the time and attention you need and visualize any hiccups that might come your way, so you’ll be prepared to pivot!
Next, write down your personal 3 E’s you want to focus on for the holidays and share them with your family in order to manage those realistic expectations. Actually writing them down makes them real and actionable!
Finally, delegate away, girlfriend! Coordinating your holidays shouldn’t feel like a solo mission. Ask for help, even if you know you can do it by yourself. People like to feel needed and included in the process. Family togetherness is definitely the name of the game in 2020, so enjoy the helpful hands...after they’ve been thoroughly washed, of course!
Here are the highlights from this episode:
{3:39} Step 1: Self care and visualizing success {13:03} Step 2: Writing down your 3 E’s {16:02} Step 3: Delegating responsibilities

| Ep 039: Outside-the-Box Organization | 07 Dec 2020 | 00:23:58 | |
After a quick recap of the episodes from the November Thankfulness Series, I suggested ways to think outside the box when organizing and styling your space. Here are some of the examples that came up in this episode, plus a few extras.
I’ve used kitchen drawer dividers for arts and crafts, makeup organizers for a desktop display, over-the-door shoe rack in our kids’ activity closet, a large party ice bucket for a laundry hamper, an art cart for a podcast station, and a divided turntable (lazy susan) in just about every room of the house!
Just because you need an organizer for your bedroom or closet, doesn’t mean you’re limited to shopping only in that department. I found a clothing organizer for my daughter’s room in the bathroom section of Bed, Bath & Beyond. Don’t forget your 20% off coupon before you place your order!
Shopping the kids section for your organization and home decor can have great benefits too. These days the kids department can offer great design choices totally suitable for an adult space, but for a fraction of the cost. Next time you need a basic sheet set for your queen size guest bed or a couple of blackout panels for the windows in your master bedroom, checkout Pottery Barn Kids! You’ll get a great quality product but for less since it’s from the kids’ store.
Highlights from this episode:
{2:51} Recap of previous November episodes {7:35} Celebrating milestone moments on Instagram and the podcast {11:08} Shopping for items in unexpected areas of the store {15:38} Buying from the kids section for a budget-friendly price {17:20} Think outside the box when shopping for organizing solutions
Mentioned on this episode:
Ep 35: Finding Blessings in 2020 Ep 36: Growing Up Organized with Isabelle Killian Ep 37: Repurpose and Reimagine Your Stuff Ep 38: Turning Memories into Art with Liberty Worth
Hope these ideas will inspire you to think outside the box next time you need to organize and style your space!

| Ep 038: Turning Memories into Art with Liberty Worth | 30 Nov 2020 | 00:28:33 | |
Rounding out this Thankfulness Series in November is the lovely and talented Liberty Worth on this week’s episode.
Liberty shares how she takes your precious memories from fabrics, like lace, cotton, silk, wool, corduroy, and denim from that scarf you got on a trip to Italy, a wedding or bridesmaids dress, or a loved one’s favorite shirt, and turns it into art.
She believes that fabric holds memories, and her mission is to take those sentimental items that may be taking up space in your drawers, closet, or storage area and transform them into functional quilts for a bed or hanging wall art. These heirloom quality works of art are a modern take on quilted designs that will tell meaningful stories for generations to come.
As an organizer, I love how she takes these important, sentimental items that may be crowding your space or reading as clutter and creates a simplified, artistic way for the whole family to enjoy them!
Not only did we talk about her masterful quilts, but we dove into why serving the community through volunteering, teaching others how to sew, cranking out masks for those in need, and working on a neighborhood beautification project in downtown LA, absolutely lights her up!
Highlights from this episode:
{1:59} Introduction to Liberty {6:07} Repurpose fabrics to create art {12:25} Reliving your memories through the fabrics {22:33} The Coloring Book Plaza event and neighborhood beautification
Mentioned on this episode:

Liberty’s YouTube link to making masks:
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn quote: “Talent is always conscious of its own abundance, and does not object to sharing.”
Robert Fulghum quote: “All I really need to know I learned in Kindergarten.”
This episode is joyful and definitely inspires me to let my treasured pieces shine in a new way. I hope you’ll feel the same!

| Ep 037: Repurpose and Reimagine Your Stuff | 23 Nov 2020 | 00:25:40 | |
Feeling super inspired by the move to our new home and this continued Thankfulness Series, I recorded this episode all about using the stuff you already have to give your space a new look!
After visiting a friend’s home in Florida after our college graduation, I saw how her mom had repurposed furniture she had in one room to transform another one! She reimagined her bedrooms, living space, and bonus game room for the big kids every couple of years by choosing new themes, changing up the paint, switching out pieces of furniture between rooms, and adding some new accessories.
I definitely did this as we moved into our new house this November, instead of just transferring the same old look we had for years from one home to another.
I talked about updates to our kids’ rooms and shared some projects I worked on in my parents’ home a few years ago, when we created a nursery for the grandkids using furniture they already had in other rooms.
Highlights from this episode:
{4:14} Reimagine your space {9:07} Walk around your house and note the things you like the most {14:31} Repurpose your furniture {14:16} The importance of letting kids find their style for their spaces {21:24} Find ideas to refresh your space on Pinterest
Mentioned on this episode:
Use chalk paint to transform old furniture Add decorative accessories like pillows and throws Add a loft bed for more space for activities Display sentimental items in frames or on shelves
Transformations: File cabinet to changing table Nightstand to Lego station Kids’ room to homeschool workspace
I hope you enjoy these suggestions to repurpose and reimagine your stuff! Keep looking for those blessings in 2020 and have a very happy, socially-distanced Thanksgiving from our family to yours!

| Ep 036: Growing Up Organized with Isabelle Killian | 16 Nov 2020 | 00:29:07 | |
After much persistence in asking to be on the podcast, my sweet girl, Isabelle, shares what it’s been like growing up organized! What a treat to have her on to discuss how organization in her home and schedule has affected her life positively, especially during this Thankfulness Series on the podcast.
I was amazed to hear her 10-year-old organization analogies and impressively grownup perspective on what it’s meant to her to feel like she’s been able to make her space her own. She talks about how it feels to have the freedom to style her room, workspace for schoolwork and artwork, and play area.
She also discusses what it’s been like to have a professional organizer as a mom. This answer had me laughing!

| Ep 035: Finding Blessings in 2020 | 09 Nov 2020 | 00:26:00 | |
What an unexpected year this has been! Who could’ve imagined all that we’d be going through to stay safe and healthy in the year 2020? Even though this year has thrown us a few curveballs, I must say, I’ve found some pretty significant blessings in it.
As a part of my November Thankfulness Series I thought it would be great to talk about some of the blessings we’ve all experienced. Not only does that help us practice gratitude, which is always a good thing, but mostly because it’s contagious! Sharing your blessings, big or small in your daily routine, can inspire others to look at what stuff they have to be thankful for in their lives. That’s a beautiful thing!
Here are the highlights from this episode:
{8:06} Taking advice to have a successful move {10:48} Asking for support {17:20} Being strong together in times of uncertainty {20:49} Being thankful and sharing your blessings with others

I can’t wait to hear what God has blessed you with this year! A good cup of coffee, a new home (Oh yeah, I made a big announcement on this episode about buying a new home!), more quality time with your loved ones, a business venture, a fun new hobby, planting a garden, homeschooling, an awesome bible study, Zoom calls, having regular movie nights at home, trying new recipes, exercising, resting and relaxing...it all counts!

| Ep 034: Help Your Future Self | 02 Nov 2020 | 00:30:24 | |
This November I’m starting a Thankfulness Series. On this episode I discuss doing things now so that your ‘future self’ will thank you!
More than ever before we are spending lots of time in our homes, and the need to have some organization in place is real. If you’re a busy mom of littles you’re most likely making snacks and meals round the clock, entertaining the kids, providing social and educational activities, and may even be homeschooling. Not to mention, you still have all of your other responsibilities like running a household, creating pandemic-friendly birthday parties, attempting to connect with your besties however socially-distanced you feel is appropriate, and possibly working outside the home too (even if that takes place inside the home these days)!
All of these things require some level of planning ahead and organizing your space and schedules to make it all work. Even if it’s not the most convenient thing to do, the effort you make now will definitely help your future self.

| Ep 032: Kitchen Cabinet Organization | 19 Oct 2020 | 00:32:54 | |
Whether you have exposed shelving, glass-front, or fully covered kitchen cabinets, this episode offers solutions for organization that are both beautiful and functional!
When you have kids, you may find that your cabinets are bursting with bottles, sippy cups, water bottles, and every cartoon character accessory known to man. On this episode, I stress the importance of always doing that consistent, regular purge of items you aren’t using anymore (kids’ stuff, holiday items, or one-off randoms), and grouping like items together. This practice will keep them less cluttered and easier to maintain.
Additionally, I share some of my favorite ways to maximize your space, put in the proper organization bins, and style those kitchen uppers and lowers so they are working best for you and your family!
If you find yourself using your cabinets for pantry items like dry food, baking ingredients, canned food, spices, and more, the previously recorded pantry episode (see link below) will be a great backup resource for ideas to organize those. Similarly, it works if you are using your pantry space for cabinet items, such as glassware, small appliances, plates, bowls, etc. Another episode to consider when organizing and styling your shelving is the sixth episode, which discusses ways to maximize your vertical space. Click the links below to listen to those episodes.
Here are the highlights from this episode:

With some simple organization tips and rules for maintaining your refreshed space, your living room can be an oasis for you, serve the needs of everyone in your home, and be welcoming to your guests.

| Ep 030: The Never-Ending Mail Pile | 05 Oct 2020 | 00:30:50 | |
No matter how organized you are, the constant inflow of mail never ends. You can count on it daily. If you aren’t staying super consistent with purging the junk mail and organizing the rest, it can quickly take over your countertops and drive you crazy!
Here are this week’s 3 E’s to keep your mail organized:
Essential: purge/shred any junk mail before it even comes into your house. Cancel any catalogues, magazines, or subscriptions you aren’t using anymore to eliminate extra mail clutter.
Enhancement: handle the mail as fast as you can! Don’t put off paying bills, RSVPing to events, filing important documents, and shredding/tossing the rest.
Extra: put paper organization bins in a place that’s convenient. Designate a place/container for gift cards/coupons, memorabilia, important documents like tax info, items in limbo, “to-be-filed” paperwork, and permanent paper storage (lock boxes, file folders). Have a space for each member of the household.

| Ep 027: Choose the Right Containers | 14 Sep 2020 | 00:30:08 | |
Last week I shared 3 ways to invest in organization and why that’s such a good idea. This week I wanted to piggyback that idea and focus more specifically on how to choose the right containers for your space and style!
These days it’s cool to be organized and add your own personal style to your home! There are all types of containers offered at high-end retailers, online, and even your local dollar store. With all these options, how do you know which to choose that’ll work best in your space for you and your family?
On this episode I suggest 3 things to consider when making your container choices: size, style, and multipurpose options.
I remind you to always start with the essential purge when getting organized. Once you have only what you want to keep, and have sold or donated the clutter or unused items, you should measure your space (cabinet, drawer, closet) and the items you’re trying to contain so you know it’ll fit!
Next, get super real about your style. You want your containers to match your space (traditional, modern, contemporary, boho, farmhouse). That’ll help you decide on woven baskets, clear and transparent or opaque bins, plastic, acrylic, glass, labels, etc to go with the look of your home. You also want them to serve your style of organizing. If you won’t take the time to take a top off and place your item inside, opt for open storage containers or hooks on the wall.
A bonus in choosing the right container is to consider if it’ll be multifunctional and count as storage and seating, or a coffee table with storage space below, for example. Choosing neutral colors will also leave you the option of moving the bin from one space to another without being bound to a specific color or room and have longevity.
No matter what you choose, it has to work for you and your family. So the next time you’re organizing, think about these 3 things to help you choose the right containers!

I was reflecting on what I can offer my awesome busy mom clients and loyal listeners of the podcast, as the clock struck 3am the night before I recorded this episode. While our family was grieving the loss of a good man, who spent his days loving his family and preaching God’s word, and our world is trying to figure out how to survive and thrive during a global pandemic that’s taken lives and jobs, I felt emotional and exhausted.
I know that we are all having those heavy moments, no matter how these uncertain times are affecting us. In my tearful and sleepy state I started going back over what I can do to help.
For years I’ve managed my anxiety and stress with faith, supportive friends and family, and organization. Yes, pretty much anything I can organize, I do it! And I find comfort in that. Investing my time, energy, and money into getting organized has done a world of good for me and for my family.

| Ep 024: Vintage + Intentional Shopping with Carrie Diaz | 24 Aug 2020 | 00:44:38 | |
On this episode the very stylish and captivating business owner, Carrie Diaz, of Best Friend Central, shares her love of vintage and drive to create a physical space for community and friendship among women!
She explains her passion for “slow fashion” and how being intentional with shopping has inspired her to open a second store now in Los Angeles in the Vintage District of Burbank, CA with a curated collection of vintage pieces. She’s so committed to bringing vintage, friendship, and community to her new store that not even a global pandemic could stop her from opening her bright yellow painted doors!
Carrie and I discuss that common feeling of opening the closet door each day and wondering what to wear. While I suggest a good closet purge of items that don’t fit, aren’t being worn, or don’t light you up, she suggests ways to choose the right pieces that show off your style, and are well-tailored to your body so you feel your very best! In fact, there’s an on-site tailor at her store to help with that.
Additionally we talk about the concept of “cost per wear” when making smart shopping choices and how it’s related to “cost per use” when investing in organization bins. Here are the highlights from this episode:

| Ep 023: Back-to-School Preparation | 17 Aug 2020 | 00:22:45 | |
It’s time to go back to school...or back to virtual learning. In this season of uncertainty we’re all asked to make big decisions that will work best for our families. I know this is super personal my friend!
No matter what you, the CDC, your school, or your besties are choosing, I’m here to discuss 3 things that might make it a bit of an easier transition as the new school year approaches.
In this episode I suggest 3 E’s that I’ll be sticking to in order to keep my kiddos focused on a successful learning experience and prepared for any surprise scenario that comes our way.
Here are those suggestions if you’d like to use them in your home and in your schedule this school year:
Essential: Purge (any clutter from last year or over the summer that accumulated in your home and consider what activities are necessary or can be purged from your schedule as safety restrictions prevent us from doing lots of things we were used to doing before)
Enhancement: Good Communication and Flexibility (with family, friends, co-workers, teachers, childcare providers for any new scenario this pandemic presents)
Extra: Not Over-buying or Over-indulging (in products, food, drinks, school supplies, clothes, and more so there’s less waste, less clutter and more financial responsibility during this time)
Remember your 3 E’s can be completely different than mine. Focus on what works best with your style!
Highlights from this episode:
{3:01} Applying the 3 E’s for back-to-school preparation {4:01} The Essential: purge the closet and school supplies {9:40} The Enhancement: communication is crucial {13:43} The Extra: not over-buying or over-indulging Helpful links mentioned in this episode:
*Children’s book: Billie and the Brilliant Bubble: Social Distancing for Children
* UCLA: Guidelines on How to Help Children Navigate COVID-19
* AACAP: Talking with Children about Coronavirus
I hope that no matter what you choose (or what’s been chosen for you) that you find the blessings in our new reality. Take comfort in knowing that God has a plan, even if we can’t see it now! He’s at work here, so embrace the uncertainty and focus on finding hope and joy in this school year.
Did you know that in each of my Online Courses, the last module is called The Desires of your Heart? This module is meant to be like a warm embrace and encouragement from a friend to always continue to pursue the desires that God puts on your heart! Whether you’re organizing and styling your home, wardrobe, kids, or schedule, there are new and sometimes hidden desires that are revealed as you seek God’s plan. I share my story with you in each of these final modules and explain how the desires of my heart were completely unexpected until I surrendered my plans and...
| Ep 022: A Successful Yard Sale | 10 Aug 2020 | 00:36:21 | |
Finally, I get to dive deeper on this episode into step 2 of your 3 simple steps of getting organized, the SALE! Once you’ve done that Essential PURGE as your first step, it’s time to get a little ROI from the items you’re purging.
I delayed this episode as the health pandemic made this step a bit more difficult while we are all facing safety guidelines, including social distancing, wearing masks, and being careful when sharing items with each other. These necessary measures make a garage or yard sale a lot harder these days. However, as cities reopen businesses, schools, and allow for more human interaction, I wanted to give you my 3 steps to have a successful yard sale, should you choose to try one!
Now don’t think this is an archaic concept and only something your parents may have done in the 80s and 90s! You can get some extra cash in your pocket (or money in your Venmo or PayPal account if exchanging dollar bills is something you are avoiding) when you choose to sell the items in your home that aren’t serving you anymore.
You can do this by sticking to the 3 E’s. After you’ve done the Essential PURGE and added those items to bags with handles, it’s time to prep for your Enhancement of a SALE in 3 simple steps.
I share with you those steps in detail on this episode and also offer this helpful checklist to ensure it’s a great success!
The Successful Yard Sale Checklist
This episode and easy-to-follow list will have money in your pocket with minimal effort in 3 steps, with 3 days of prep, and only 3 hours on sale day! See? You can do that!
Here are the highlights from this episode: {1:34} The successful yard sale checklist {9:16} Step 1: the purge {11:10} Grouping items for sale {17:15} Step 2: the prep {23:46} Getting signs ready {29:36} Step 3: the sale
Any items that aren’t sold can be donated to local charities (and get a tax write-off), consigned in-store or online, or bagged up to offer hand-me-downs to your besties! It’s a win win for everyone!
Mentioned in this episode:
Vietnam Veterans donation pickup

It’s that time of year again when we set goals for the year ahead, but what if we did things differently this time? What if we considered the outcomes (or the feelings) we want to achieve along the way to be the driving force behind planning our year? Let’s not miss the blessings God has for us, by being so goal-focused and too rigid to pivot when life throws us curveballs!
Highlights from this episode: (00:54) Did you ever think we’d get to 2023?! (02:36) Mindful goal-setting (06:23) The right time to start a podcast (08:26) Trust (11:23) Lean into the outcomes you want to see
Mentioned on this episode: @kellymobeck my coach and host of the podcast Let’s Be Honest Before We Start Pretending
I hope this episode has you thoughtfully considering setting outcomes this year, so your goals don’t seem so far off or disappointing if they aren’t achieved exactly how you planned them. | Ep 021: Moving With Kids with Tiffany Sharp | 03 Aug 2020 | 00:33:07
My bestie is on the podcast today to talk to us about preparing for your move with your kids. She’s the total expert on this subject as she has moved just under a gazillion times in the past 8 years with her awesome family!
Last week I shared the 3 E’s to having a successfully organized move on Episode 20:
Essential: Purge before and after your move Enhancement: Label boxes properly Extra: Visualize your move to troubleshoot any problems that may arise
Now Tiffany shares her top 3 E’s, plus some great bonus tips when moving with kids:
Essential: Research your new city, schools, churches, activities before you move. (Use Google, Facebook groups and friends for recommendations, local MOPS groups and other organizations you love.) Along with researching, start praying with your family that God will put the right opportunities and people in your path.
Enhancement: Don’t be afraid to try more than one (or 3) different groups for you and the kiddos to find the right fit for you.
Extra: Accept any help (without feeling guilty) in those first days of your move, including movers, family, friends, babysitters and get your kids involved too in the setting up of their room right away so they feel settled in sooner.
While Tiffany moved from city to city with her growing family, she turned her photography hobby into a business. She takes the most gorgeous family photos and has even hooked me up with some awesome biz pics, including the cover art for my podcast! Thanks, Tiff!
Bonus tip: She says you can never have enough photos of your beautiful family to capture all those special memories and new adventures, especially when you move often. She also suggests that Moms should be in those pictures too. So hand your camera to someone or snap a selfie!
Checkout her work @tiffanysharpphotography on Instagram and Facebook and be sure to book a session with her if you are local to Memphis, TN!

| Ep 020: A Successfully Organized Move | 27 Jul 2020 | 00:37:37 | |
In this episode I discuss how to simplify and organize your move in 3 simple steps! Moving can feel so stressful and completely overwhelming. There are lots of moving parts (no pun intended) that need to be checked off your list. Breaking it down to 3 simple steps at a time can help you feel like you are accomplishing those tasks without feeling so overwhelmed.
I always like to start with an Essential purge of what’s not being used before you pack, and then plan to purge again when you start unpacking if those items aren’t going to work in your new space.
The Enhancement that will add so much value to your move is properly labelling your boxes, whether you or a moving company are packing them. I suggest some specific ways to make this as easy as possible when you are unloading boxes from the truck and unpacking them in each room. This is a crucial step in having an organized move!
Finally, I highly recommend a few Extras, like visualizing the move to troubleshoot any problems that may arise. I also give a friendly reminder to stay as positive and appreciative to everyone involved in helping you with your move, and suggest some simple ways to do this. Let’s face it, this may be a time when you have anxiety, are sleep deprived, and might easily lose your cool.
Don’t forget that this is an amazing opportunity for a fresh start! Allowing old clutter or overwhelm to take over is not in the cards. You’ve got this if you keep it simple!

| Ep 019: Simple Healthy Meals with Amy Weinstock | 20 Jul 2020 | 00:35:50 | |
This is one of my favorite episodes so far that I know you are going to want to go back and listen to over and over again! I’m so blessed to have my sweet friend, Amy Weinstock, award winning news anchor turned food blogger with a passion for all things health and wellness on the podcast. This week Amy shares her top 3’s for a go-to snack, meal, and cocktail/mocktail that are perfect for these summer months. The cool thing about these recipes is that the ingredients are fresh and can be substituted for whatever you have on hand or seasonal faves! She recommends a fun theme night for meal inspiration and even using specific ingredients for their many health benefits, like natural digestive enzymes, low glycemic index, and those with lower calories. I also love that Amy shares some smart practices when getting the whole family to eat healthily. She believes it’s so important to model healthy eating in front of our kiddos, using simple, fresh ingredients, and enjoying some yummy treats in moderation too! Additionally, Amy encourages us to involve the kids in the food prep, and make the effort to sit down and have family dinner together to share in great conversation.
Here are the highlights from this episode: {1:29} Introduction to Amy {5:14} Modeling positive behaviors with food around our kids {8:12) Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies {10:46} Amy’s go-to meals {14:58} Amy’s favorite ingredients {17:51} Drinks for themed dinner nights {21:25} Amy’s advice for cooking for the family
