Everything You Need To Know About “Evergreen Every Day”25 Jul 202400:35:46

It’s finally here!

⭐ Introducing my brand new course... Evergreen Every Day!

Here's the story to catch you up:

Last month, I decided I was going to make course sales all day every day. I wanted constant "cha-chings" on my phone! 📲

I asked myself: "What do I need to have in place for that to be my reality? If I want sales all day every day, what does that look like?"

So I mapped it out and I got to work (hard work!)

Over 2 weeks, I built out an ecosystem of low ticket offers and new funnels that flow seamlessly into my premium programs.

I created a simple upsell flow that turns $22 sales, $50 sales, and $200 sales into sales of my most premium signature programs.

I got into the right mindset to allow sales to come in all day every day, no matter what I'm doing or not doing.

Then I turned "on" my new funnels, content system, traffic, emails and posts...eager to see what would happen.

My results, just a few weeks after turning my new systems "on"?

😱 Well, they speak for themselves (listen to the episode for all the details!)

I cannot wait to show you EVERYTHING inside Evergreen Every Day.

“Get in loser, we’re going SHOPPING”  😂🛍️

Big news: We just launched a new SHOP page for the site where you can find all our products, templates, and courses in one place!

Since we’ve launched a handful of mini courses and digital products lately, I’ve gotten so many DMs and messages from people asking where they can find everything we have to offer right now in one place.

So we launched a shop page and wanted to share a little bit more about what’s available right now, where to start, what you can find there now (and what’s coming soon!)

You can find everything at mariahcoz.com/shop

We’re going to be adding so much more to the shop over the coming weeks so you’ll definitely want to check back often!

In this episode I’ll walk you through what we have available right now, who it’s for, what’s inside, all the details.

And right now, a lot of things are on SALE! So I wouldn’t wait.

Do You Need to Blog to Have a Successful Online Course?25 Aug 201600:49:46

The question in this weeks episode is from Nancy who asked whether you need to actually blog to have a successful online course. The short answer is that you don't have to blog to have a successful online course.

In today's episode we break this down with 8 ways you can have an alternative to blogging to create a successful online presence.

  • Podcasting - Some people are audio learners and express their ideas better out loud than they do on paper. If you're one of those people start a podcast and reach your audience through regular audio content on your topic.

  • Newsletter - Exclusive content only delivered via email. No blog, no website, just great content sent to your inbox. Webinars - Doing regular webinars is a great way to connect with your audience and establish your authority on your topic. Webinars are also a great way to build your email list.

  • Guest Posting - Linking your guest posts back to your signature pieces of content is a great way to build your list and reputation with the audience your'e guest posting on. It's a great way to drive a bunch of traffic to your funnel immediately before your next launch.

  • Live Streaming - Whether it's Periscope, Facebook Live, or another platform this is a great way to connect with your audience in a more realtime manner than blogging. The big difference between this and a webinar is the real time nature of the medium and how that content structure is more casual and spontaneous.

  • Instagram - Microblogging platforms are another great way to provide insight into what you're up to and share that aspect of your life with your followers. These short snippets are so much easier to put out daily than a giant blog post every week. The key here again is to bridge that audience back to your email list.

  • Medium - A blogging platform that has the social sharing aspect built in. The virality potential of Medium is a great way to get your message out to new aspects of your target audience. YouTube - YouTube is the 2nd largest search engine in the world. Don't foresake the potential of YouTube to grow your digital footprint. Just like Podcasting it doesn't have to be perfect for you to get started. The big key is to get your content out there, and iterate from there.

  • The key to all of these is to have a single incredible piece of signature content - whether it's an ebook, an email course, or a video series, create that memorable piece that everyone will remember you by.

Rebuilding My Business: How I’m Revamping Everything in 30 Days By Keeping It Simple29 Feb 202400:34:19

Hear how I’ve condensed 6 months worth of projects around re-launching my business into about 30 days by streamlining and simplifying everything. I’m rebuilding my business from the inside out, and I’ve decided to just overhaul EVERYTHING all at once, on an accelerated timeline.

It’s amazing what you can get done when you just decide “this is happening, now”.

In this episode:

  • The backstory of what started this cascade from a new idea to a new website to a new newsletter, new content system and more

  • How I’m getting done what would have normally taken someone 6+ months to accomplish in about 30 days

  • The lessons learned about being decisive, 80/20 principles, and how to stop over complicating everything

  • An inside look at exactly HOW I’m keeping things simple (not batching, a 1-page website, systems and templates, etc)

  • Why I think my “minimum viable” mindset is actually going to work better than all the fluff

  • My approach to the shortest distance between my ideas and sharing them with you

How to take long breaks during the delivery of your program07 Feb 202400:21:26

In this episode, I’m sharing an actual episode from my Q&A Private Podcast, which is usually exclusively for my clients!

At the time of publishing this, my Q&A Private Podcast has over 70 episodes on it (!!) and I add more all the time. My clients can submit questions and topics, I curate which ones I answer for the private podcast, and I publish them as individual mini-episodes (1 answer/topic per episode) so it’s super searchable, digestible and easy to listen to! People absolutely love it, and I know you will too.

If you’d like to access the Q&A private podcast and all the other courses, resources, and support in Monetize, you can enroll today here

This episode is one of many of our Q&A private podcast episodes - and today’s is all about how you can take longer, planned breaks (like 2-6 weeks) in your business when you are running an ongoing program.

The question submitted from a client was, “How can I take planned longer breaks during the delivery of my program?”. You’ll hear my answer in this episode!

I love this topic because I truly think all business owners should be planning for rest and time off in their schedules from the beginning - and baking this into your delivery, marketing, and strategy from day 1 is going to make it so much easier.

This episode is all about how you communicate those breaks and time off to your clients in a way that serves and supports them as much as it does you!

I invite you to join my free Creator Party community so that you can keep the conversation going. We do Podcast Chats where I answer questions about each episode, and we have a deeper discussion on the themes we explore on the podcast.

In this episode:

  • How to plan to take breaks during your program delivery from the beginning

  • The messaging and positioning of taking rest time while delivering a long-term program

  • How to communicate your planned breaks to potential clients and current clients

  • How mindset plays a role in taking time off throughout the year while you have a rolling program

  • Examples of how I communicate expectations around my Q&A private podcast (just for my clients)

If you’d like to access the Q&A private podcast and all the other courses, resources, and support in Monetize, you can enroll today here

Mariah is also putting together a small, cozy mastermind - think of it like a group chat of awesome founders and creators, finding monetization opportunities and doing cool sh*t! DM Mariah on Instagram or email us to learn more.

In this episode, I’m sharing my reflections on 2023 - a year of simplification, enoughness and asynchronous everything! In 2023 I created so much spaciousness in my schedule, cleared my calendar, discovered a lot of joy and contentment outside of business things, and overall had a TON of fun while not worrying about all the traditional benchmarks of “success”.

In this episode:

  • How creating space allowed me to say “yes” to unexpected opportunities through 2023

  • The contrast between what seemed like a quiet exterior and having more fun offline

  • The joy of having lots of free time and not feeling pressure to share it all for public consumption

  • The logistics of how I created a clear calendar (changes I made to my mastermind, programs and more)

Sprint With Us! Launch Before Black Friday and Let Mariah Promote You17 Oct 202300:09:06

Sprint With Us! Launch Before Black Friday and Let Mariah Promote You

(Thank you to our sponsor and partner, Skool!)

🤩 Want to launch something before Black Friday/Cyber Monday (the biggest sales weekend of the year?)

😍 Want to get out of your own way and take imperfect action with us?

😄 Want Mariah to promote your new free group or paid offer link to our audience, meaning more visibility for your biz before the end of the year?

A couple weeks ago, I had an idea (love it when that happens)

What if instead of motivating people to take action with run of the mill bonuses or “rah rah” cheerleading, we did something REALLY valuable for our Monetize members that would actually boost their business?

What if we really inspired people to take imperfect action NOW, together, and be rewarded for that?

The idea for our upcoming Skool Sprint was born (and ALL Monetize members are welcome to participate!)

💭 I thought, “what if we all worked together on launching either a free group, paid subscription or paid digital product before Black Friday - and then *I* can actually promote and share all those awesome groups and offers with *my* audience??”

So that’s what we’re doing!

So, do you want me to promote your free group or paid offer to my audience?

Here’s how it’s going to work:

✅ You join Monetize, where you will create + prepare to launch either a free group or paid offer (subscription or one-time purchase digital product) in about 3 weeks, using our step-by-step tools, templates, checklists, and trainings that make it as simple as humanly possible

✅ You will submit a link to your offer/group to be included in a blog post that will be promoted to our audience (there’s a deadline to submit your link by). We welcome both B2C and B2B products!

✅ I will promote that post to my email list, on social media, and in the Creator Party community (tens of thousands of people combined, to an audience with a huge variety of interests!)

All of this is happening before Black Friday, so you’ll have something super high value to offer for the biggest business weekend of the year!

The 3-week sprint *officially* kicks off October 23rd in the Monetize community.

However, the sooner you join, the more time you will have to get your free or paid offer put together and prepped - so I recommend you start right now.

Get a head start and join us today to start your Sprint!

Important details:

  • You need to be an active member of Monetize to be eligible for the Sprint

  • Your offer does need to be hosted on Skool to be eligible to be promoted by us (free group, paid subscription, or one-time purchase product hosted on Skool) - a free Skool software account is included in your Monetize membership

  • We will not promote any offer or groups that do not align with our company values or follow our Inclusive Language Guidelines, this is at our sole discretion.

  • You need to submit your link before this Sprint deadline, late submissions cannot be accepted or published as we need time to prepare the posts on our end

Everything Can Change So Fast When You Make A Decision and Act Accordingly03 Jul 202400:58:52

This episode is a personal and business update capturing in real time the huge shifts I am experiencing to create a massive increase in sales.

About a month ago, I made the decision that we were going to make sales all day every day.

I wanted constant pings on my phone that ALL my offers were selling all day - from low ticket products to my signature course to my high ticket offers.

I then got to work creating the mindset, environment, and assets, and strategy that would need to be in place for that to be my reality.

On June 14th, we turned this new system of funnels, products and traffic “on”.

2-ish weeks later…and the results have been nothing short of 🤯!

Sales coming in all day every day of all of my products, courses, consulting - everything amplifying everything else.

I’m getting messages daily on IG right now saying “You’re on fire! What’s the secret?”

I’m recording this on July 3rd, just having wrapped up an incredible June, a little more than 2 weeks into my New Era (which I declared in the last episode/video), to capture this moment and reflect on just how quickly things can shift for you when you’re willing to make a decision and act accordingly!

I’m sharing one major mindset shift and all the small things that have added up to these massive results.

➡️ Read the full blog post here

In this episode:

  • The decision I made about a month ago that lead to a drastic increase in sales

  • How shifting my mindset lead to massive action the last few weeks

  • My “make a decision and act accordingly” era

  • Sharing results from the last 2.5 weeks since turning on new funnels, new offers, new ads (revenue, new sales, ad ROAS, etc)

  • The core foundational belief I had to get behind in order to blow up our sales

  • Real talk about the hard work and strategy that goes into these results

  • Becoming obsessed with your own offers so you are energized by selling them every day

  • Answering your questions about pivots, showing up as the next level of yourself, and more

  • What’s coming next for us and learn how to implement this yourself

My Plan For Creating Ongoing Sales Through Content: Behind The Scenes Update26 Sep 202301:12:14

In this episode, I’m sharing my overall brand + biz plan for this upcoming season - with a focus on regular recurring activities for sales, content marketing, and a simple weekly cadence.

Now that the initial Monetize pilot launch is wrapped up and Monetize is now open for people to join every day, my focus is shifting to the ongoing marketing plan for welcoming new members to our paid product consistently.

My big focus is on a very simple “system” that is just sharing high value content 1-2x per week, linking to my paid products from there, and selling organically for now.

I invite you to join my free Creator Party community so that you can keep the conversation going. We do Podcast Chats where I answer questions about each episode, and we have a deeper discussion on the themes we explore on the podcast.

In this episode:

  • The 3 pillars I’m focusing my marketing energy on now (podcast, newsletter + community)

  • Why I want to create a newly revamped, branded newsletter to round out my content strategy

  • The community flywheel feedback loop and how I have endless content ideas

  • Building out my updated Hologram database (my content repurposing system)

  • Designing a sustainable “content > sales” system that fits within my 3-day workweek

  • My approach to getting organized

  • I constantly go back and forth about the naming of the components of my brand

  • Why you don’t have to do any of this perfectly to be successful (seriously, I fly by the seat of my pants most of the time!)

Payment Plans vs. Subscriptions and Monthly Memberships07 Sep 202301:11:52

In this episode, I’m sharing why we chose to go with a subscription type pricing structure for our new offer, Monetize, (subscription meaning you can sign up, cancel anytime, come back anytime) rather than the typical payment plan or pay in full options.

I invite you to join my free Creator Party community so that you can keep the conversation going. We do Podcast Chats where I answer questions about each episode, and we have a deeper discussion on the themes we explore on the podcast.

In this episode:

  • Why we chose to create Monetize as a monthly subscription

  • The simple subscription offer I was designing *before* Monetize became a thing, to give you an example

  • My fears and hesitations around a subscription vs. payment plan structure

  • How I think it will impact revenue, for better or for worse

  • How embracing simplicity and enoughness changed my perspective on what a subscription had to look like

  • How a subscription type offer fits in with my vision for my evolving ecosystem of various offers

  • Certain types of offers make sense as a subscription and some don’t

Creative Monetization Ideas: High Ticket & Premium Priced Offers (Part 3)05 Sep 202300:46:25

In this episode, I’m sharing more creative monetization ideas for creators - specifically with a focus on more high ticket, high touch, premium offers that can work as either a one time purchase or a subscription recurring revenue model. If you love high touch delivery, working with less clients but in a closer capacity, if you love coaching and giving personal feedback, you’ll get lots of ideas. If you have a smaller audience and need more low volume but premium priced ideas, this is perfect for you.

This is part 3 in a 3-part series, so definitely listen to the first 2 parts if you haven’t, for tons of fresh, new ideas for monetizing your business and audience that will get your gears turning.

I invite you to join my free Creator Party community so that you can keep the conversation going. We do Podcast Chats where I answer questions about each episode, and we have a deeper discussion on the themes we explore on the podcast.

In this episode:

  • Why we are tempted to include “everything and the kitchen sink” in our high ticket offer, when really keeping it simple is what our clients want

  • How I’ve embraced a “less is more” approach, having built a super “all inclusive” huge program before

  • How to make your premium offer stand out by making 1-2 key components the star of the show

  • Giving you the permission you didn’t know you needed to do less, focus on just your zone of genius, and stop stuffing things you don’t even like into your programs

  • What clients are really looking for in a premium, high touch offer now

  • The unexpected opportunities in being laser focused on a simple high touch offer (referral partners and collabs, yay!)

  • 3 concrete, unique high ticket subscription offers you can create and how to structure them (with examples)

In this episode:

  • 5 unique ideas for high-value, low-lift subscription products that are based on how you like to create content with lots of real examples

  • How adding a community element with conversations and Q&A threads adds so much value to any subscription offer

  • The types of subscription offers you can create even if you’re not a subject matter expert (or if you’d like to redefine your role in your business)

  • Exploring the world of alternative monetization ideas for recurring revenue, like paid private podcasts, premium paid newsletters, the monthly DIY “project plan” concept (this one is so fun), swipe file libraries and how “curator” personality types can provide massive value in a paid offer

  • Get your gears turning about fun, unique ways you could monetize as a creator that work for your energy, your zone of genius, and your skills

Beyond Courses & Coaching: My Brain Is Exploding With Creative Monetization Ideas (Part 1)05 Sep 202300:39:05

In this episode, I am sharing my growing obsession with brainstorming creative, unique monetization ideas that go beyond the typical “online course” or coaching program - I promise this series of episodes will inspire you and give you so many fresh ideas for offers you could create.

This is part 1 in a 3-part series, so definitely keep listening for tons of fresh, new ideas for monetizing your business and audience that are definitely going to get your gears turning (and hopefully reduce the overwhelming feeling like you need to create a huge course to make sales).

I invite you to join my free Creator Party community so that you can keep the conversation going. We do Podcast Chats in there where I answer questions about each episode, and we have a deeper discussion on the themes we explore on the podcast.

In this episode:

  • Why simplifying and streamlining your product delivery and format can actually help you stand out in a saturated market of courses and coaching programs that all look and sound the same

  • How creators inadvertently get taken out of their zone of genius when they go to create paid, premium products - thinking they need to create something in a different format in order to sell it (and what to do instead)

  • What I noticed about my own habits online with content consumption and realized this was a bigger pattern happening in the education industry as a whole

  • Why you need to pay more attention when people say they would pay for just one core component of your offer, and how to turn that into its own product

  • Introduction to our 3-part series on creative monetization ideas for creators

  • A little sneak peek at my new program launching soon (more details coming in the next episode!)

  • The messy first phase of launch planning when everything is all over the place, and how we bring that together into a real plan

  • What I am not doing for this launch that we’ve all been taught we must do (I’m ditching sales pages, GASP!)

  • The few things I am focusing on to make this launch a success

  • How the price point of your offer can impact the launch strategies you focus on

The Difference Between Creators and Service Providers (I'm Niching Down)23 Aug 202300:48:29

The Difference Between Creators and Service Providers (I'm Niching Down)

In this episode, I am sharing what I’ve observed as some key differences between people who identify as Content Creators and people who identify as Service Providers as their primary identity. Of course there’s tons of overlap, but I’ve noticed that whether you start out as a content creator or service provider *first*, has an impact on your journey towards building a more leveraged digital product or course business (and the challenges you’ll encounter on the way).

In that context, I’m sharing how and why I’m niching down to speaking to people who want to embrace their content creator side as a big part of their business - regardless of which path you started on.

You are cordially invited to join us in the Creator Party community right now, request access here.

The Creator Party community is the #1 club for creators monetizing their businesses with content, community and creative digital products like courses, paid subscriptions, and more.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • The 2 different types of people who tend to move towards digital product businesses: Content Creators and Service Providers

  • How your starting point can impact your journey to building a more leveraged business

  • The unique challenges you may encounter as either a Content Creator identity or a Service Provider identity

  • The advantages you have as either a Content Creator or Service Provider as you pursue digital products and a more leveraged education business

  • How you can embrace the Content Creator approach, even if you started as a Service Provider (and leverage those special skills you have!)

  • Why audience growth, lead generation and list-building are crucial to building a more leveraged digital product type business

  • How I personally approach content creation as a more chill, seasonal, low-key endeavor and why consistency isn’t even that important

  • Why I’m focusing on people who are excited to embrace the Creator mindset and content as a key part of their business, no matter which path they started on!

I’m Done Playing Small (New Era Loading)24 Jun 202400:44:58

A month ago, after our 6-figure asynchronous launch, I recorded this reflection as I was experiencing a huge mindset shift in real time.

I had the realization I had been playing small the last year and that I am re-emerging with a whole new energy.

I made the decision to start selling more of my offers more often, making more of my offers available in new ways, and getting visible again after a year of “hiding behind the scenes” (I talk about why in this episode.)

That was just about a month ago, when I decided that things were shifting.

I made some big decisions and took massive action. Created 3 new products and set up 3 new funnels in 2 weeks. Invested in an ads team to start ads again. Invested in new branding and video shoots.

The results of shifting this mindset that led to me taking all that action…well the last 10 days since launching these new offers, new funnels, and new ads have been insane (I’ll share all the data and details soon!)

It’s wild listening to this a month after recording it and seeing the results we’re having now from taking all this action vs. how I was feeling in this moment when I made the decisions that created the results we’re having today. It’s powerful!

I cannot wait for you to see what’s coming next. We have been doing this for almost 10 years now, and I feel like we are truly just getting started and stepping into a new chapter!

➡️ Read the full blog post here

In this episode:

  • How my 100% async launch made me realize I was playing small and it was time to step up
  • Why that experience was a major catalyst for me in every way
  • The impact my health has had on my visibility the last year
  • Owning my expertise and stop downplaying my accomplishments, brilliance, and impact
  • What you can expect from me going forward (New offers! Tons of emails! Selling every day!)
  • Modeling for you how to be selling every day in a way that truly feels high value and impactful
  • Making investments in ads, branding, photo and video, and more
  • The opportunity to watch what I’m doing, be inspired and learn from how I’m doing it
  • Tactical tools that helped me get back into this energy and get out of my funk
  • How I got back into this energy of motivation, action, and creativity

How I Took Over a Month Off From Biz26 Jun 202300:44:18

How I Took Over a Month Off From Biz

In this episode, I am sharing all about my (somewhat) unexpected 6-weeks off from business. I am answering your questions about why I took some time off, how I prepped, and my biggest lessons learned from having some time and space away from the day to day!

Whether you end up taking time off by choice (yay, vacation!) or by circumstances (life is really life-ing right now), this episode will help you understand the mindset, practical prep strategies and benefits of taking some time away.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • Why I ended up taking 6 weeks off (some of it planned, some of it unexpectedly)

  • How I navigated being out of office with my team and clients

  • The core things we prepped for when I only had a few days to plan for my unexpected absence

  • The surprising mindset gremlins that came up for me while on vacation

  • How your business model impacts the way you prep and plan for time off

  • The decisions and shifts I made months ago that made this easier to execute now

3 Big Shifts I'm Seeing With High Ticket Offer Design & Delivery07 Apr 202300:42:27

3 Big Shifts I'm Seeing With High Ticket Offer Design & Delivery

In this episode, I am talking about the 3 big shifts I’m seeing with high ticket program delivery and design. A lot has changed in the last 3 years (duh), especially with high ticket offers. If your offer needs a refresh or you're thinking of totally re-doing your offer, I've got some ideas for you to consider!

From asynchronous support options to shorter-term, high touch offers, we’re talking about it all!

I’m also announcing a workshop we are doing soon for our clients about Designing and Refining your High Ticket Offer with these shifts in mind.

If you’d like to attend, you’ll need to join Profit Architecture before the workshop - get on the waitlist so you don’t miss the chance to join us!

The key is to design your high ticket offer to be aligned with your vision for your program, and customize it to you. There isn’t just one blueprint or checklist you need to follow - you can get creative!

In this episode, we discuss:

  • What I’m seeing as the 3 biggest shifts in how we design & deliver our high touch offers in 2023 and beyond

  • The inevitable shift to asynchronous support structures in group programs and why my clients and I are obsessed

  • Why you might want to consider adding a “short term, high ticket” option to your offer or think about an accelerated type of experience

  • The “menu” of different support elements you can pick and choose from, and why I’m sick of people just designing their programs based on what others do or what you think will sell better (you gotta do what’s going to work for you!)

  • So much more!

Real Talk: What's Bumming Me Out Online Right Now23 Mar 202301:02:43

Real Talk: What's Bumming Me Out Online Right Now

In this episode, I am talking about “the online industry” … dun dun dun!

From the perspective of someone who’s been around for a loooong time, things have gotten a little weird and wild online for those of us in the course, creator, coach, and business “space”.

Today I’m sharing openly and starting a discussion about some of the things that are just bumming me out online right now. From the constant pressure to outdo yourself every month, the cultural shift from long-form value content to teeny short form content, and the egregious copycats and shameless regurgitation of other people’s IP.

I love the online space, it’s full of so much opportunity and connection and magic! But some of this stuff really frustrates me and I wanted to share in case you can relate too.

Of course, I share tangible action steps for protecting your personal peace and creating more of what you DO want to see in the world with your work.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • What I love about the online space even though there’s a lot of frustrating things right now

  • How I feel about the one-upping and every new thing having to be the “biggest thing ever” (it’s exhausting)

  • What makes me sad about the cultural shift to only wanting short-form 60-second clips

  • How I’ve dealt with fears around becoming irrelevant or forgotten because I don’t have it in me to become an instagram superstar lifestyle influencer

  • The #1 most frustrating thing that I refuse to remain calm and cool about: copycats, IP infringement, and the rampant plagiarism in this space is truly the WORST

  • Copycat Coach Culture: how weird it is to me that people all look and sound the same as their coach and each other

  • How we communicate with our clients about how to use the templates we include in our programs so that this doesn’t happen (we want our clients to sound and look like THEM, not like ME!)

  • The social circle “cool club” online and why I don’t play that game even though it’s cost me (with examples)

  • Action steps I’ve taken to stay centered and grounded in what I am doing without getting caught up in all the annoying stuff

Inside Our "Hybrid" In-Person Live Event Strategy16 Mar 202300:15:33

Inside Our "Hybrid" In-Person Live Event Strategy

Close your eyes and imagine…the year is 2019. We're all hosting fun live events and completely oblivious that the joy of being in person is about to be put on pause for a looong time.

I’ve told the story before about how at the end of 2019, after a very successful live in person event, I was ready to go ALL IN on in person events as a strategy! Obviously that didn’t happen. We all learned to pivot - and for us that actually led to the genesis of one of our most successful strategies we’ve ever implemented, The Virtual Conference strategy that we teach our clients (in Profit Architecture, which you can learn about here.)

You can hear more about how we adapted from live events to virtual conference events in my 2020-2021 recap episode

As I’m publishing this, it’s 2023 and live events are making a comeback (slowly but surely).

Recently, a client asked me how we had hosted live events “before”. She was trying to decide if she should host a “delivery event” - designed for her existing clients to attend. Or if she should create a “sales event” - inviting non-clients and making an offer to join her program.

I explained that we had always done a “hybrid” strategy where we seamlessly do BOTH (of course I did, I am kinda the “hybrid” person).

Her mind was blown - she didn’t even know that was an option! 🤯

So I created a little mini-training on how to host “hybrid” style in person events that are valuable for your existing clients, AND enticing to not-yet clients.

Today I’m sharing that mini-training with you on the podcast!

I’m not a live event expert in any way, shape or form. I haven’t hosted a live in person event since 2019. But I’ve done it before and people keep asking for my experience, so here it is.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • The strategy for hosting successful “hybrid” sales AND delivery events

  • How to design an event that is valuable for both current clients and not-yet-clients

Launch Recap: Reflections From My Recent Launch08 Mar 202301:05:08

In this episode, I am sharing reflections and lessons learned from our recent Profit Architecture course launch! If you love the behind the scenes details, you’ll love this episode.

This launch was full of lessons and a-ha moments: it surprised me in the best way possible! I went into this launch as my most imperfect self. I had a very simplified approach and it ended up being all for the best. This ended up being one of our best course launches, not only in terms of results, but more so because of how we approached this launch and kept it simple and spacious.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • The context leading up to the weeks before the launch

  • The best things we did leading up to and during this recent launch, and what I’d do differently next time

  • The recurring theme of simplicity and “enoughness” through this launch with lots of examples

  • How this launch was different than the strategies we’ve mostly been focused on the last few years

  • Examples of how I adapted our classic launch strategy for my energy and capacity right now

  • My content strategy for the pre-launch period

  • Why I did some things for the launch last minute, on purpose

  • Thoughts on your launch being congruent with your offer messaging

  • How we created a spacious pre-launch and cart open experience even with a tiny team

  • My daily “routine” during the launch

How To Send a "Why Didn't You Buy?" Survey (with Templates!)02 Mar 202300:31:05

In this episode, I’m sharing what a “Why Didn’t You Buy?” Survey is, why you should use them, how to put your own together - along with the email and survey templates to make it easy for you to implement today!

Whether you just had a live launch or have an evergreen funnel for your course, program or digital product, you should be asking non-buyers why they chose not to join you so you can gather helpful feedback. You can do the Why Didn’t You Buy survey as a post-launch survey, or add it to your evergreen funnel sequence after the sales window.

Use the examples and templates provided below and send your own today!

➡️Would you do me a favor real quick? If you chose not to join us for the most recent Profit Architecture intake, I would love to know more about your decision in this 2-minute survey right here: https://airtable.com/shrMdxZGB7EIhi5Q0

Your feedback helps guide what we create for you - including free workshops, how-to guides, podcasts, our paid programs and more.  Thank you in advance!

In this episode, we discuss:

  • Why you should send a “Why Didn’t You Buy?” survey either after your live launch or after your sales sequence in your evergreen funnel

  • How to take the helpful feedback and update your sales process and assets

  • Why it’s key to use discernment when reviewing responses and my personal experience with “hard to hear” feedback

  • The survey questions I ask and why (and the 1 question I added this time that I don’t normally ask)

  • The simple template I use to email the survey to our audience

  • Your next steps to implementing a WDYB survey into your post-launch process and funnels!
