224. Behind the Scenes: Coaching Conversation19 Aug 202400:26:25

In the social selling industry, consistency is often the deciding factor between success and struggle. Yet, many sellers find themselves caught in a cycle of reactive habits, only springing into action during a crisis.

In a recent coaching session with some of her top six and seven-figure earners, Kristen unpacked these challenges and provided actionable insights to help sellers overcome the obstacles to consistency and build a thriving business.

Let’s look at a few highlights:

  • Kristen highlighted why many sellers struggle to stay consistent, noting the tendency to only take action during a crisis, which creates a cycle of unhealthy momentum.
  • She discussed how both activity and inactivity in this business accumulate over time, with delayed results that make it easy to fall into complacency.
  • The conversation also covered the importance of creating and maintaining momentum, especially during sprints, and how sometimes your team needs that extra push to keep moving forward.

Consistency in social selling isn't just about reacting when problems show up—it's about creating and maintaining habits that drive ongoing success. Kristen’s coaching session showed that real success comes from being proactive, simplifying your approach, and keeping your team engaged. Ask yourself what success looks like for you right now and align your actions with that vision.

223. Consumer Behavior- Starbucks + Disney05 Aug 202400:18:04

It’s easy to think that if your sales are down, it must be because people aren’t spending money. But if you look around, the evidence tells a different story. From long lines at Starbucks to packed Disney parks, it’s clear that people are still opening their wallets. The key isn’t that they’re spending less, it’s that they’re spending differently. Consumers are focusing more on emotional fulfillment than ever before.

In this episode, Kristen talks to listeners about the current state of consumer spending and behavior. She explores how people are spending money not out of necessity, but for emotional satisfaction. Kristen will guide you through understanding why consumers are prioritizing emotional fulfillment in their purchases and how you can use these insights to tailor your marketing strategies.

Let’s look at a few highlights:

  • People are looking for products and experiences that provide a dopamine boost. Their purchasing habits are driven by a quick emotional high.
  • Kristen challenges you to analyze your own spending habits over the past month. What did you buy that made you feel good? This self-reflection can provide insights into broader consumer behavior.
  • People aren’t just buying things out of necessity anymore. They’re splurging on stuff that makes them feel good.
  • Many people would rather find ways to earn more money than cut back on their spending.
  • To grab your potential customer’s attention, make sure your product or service hits them on an emotional level. Show how it can bring them joy or solve a problem.

So, despite what you might hear, people are still spending money, but they’re doing it in a way that focuses on how it makes them feel. By understanding these emotional drivers and aligning your marketing strategies accordingly, you can better connect with your audience and see your sales reflect the true state of consumer spending.

214. The Stickiness Problem03 Jun 202400:24:21

Have you ever had someone join your team, only to quickly realize that this business model wasn’t for them? Kristen has been noticing a significant issue: the stickiness problem. This has become a common theme in the social selling industry. But why do so many people come in and exit just as quickly?

In today’s episode Kristen dives into the reasons behind this problem and explores ten strategies to improve retention and help your team members stick around.

Let’s look at a few highlights:

  • Stickiness refers to the ability to retain new team members effectively. It’s about how many people join your team and how many actually stay and thrive.
  • Kristen emphasizes that addressing these issues requires strategic changes in how leaders bring people onto their teams and support them once they join
  • Consider what shifts you need to make in your approach to help people stick to your team. What questions can you ask during the vetting process? How can you better support new members in their initial days
  • How can you work with new team members to adjust their expectations and recognize smaller, incremental successes rather than expecting immediate, large wins?

Not everyone is cut out for social selling, and it's crucial to differentiate between those who are serious about the opportunity and those who are merely wishful thinkers.

Remember, it's your team too. There is work you have to do to keep the "right" team members. Reflect on these points and consider the shifts you need to make to ensure you're attracting and retaining the best people for your team. What questions can you ask to ensure you're bringing in the right people and setting them up for success? The success of your team starts with your leadership and the standards you set.

128. Build for Tomorrow with Jason Feifer12 Sep 202200:56:50

If you were one of the many network marketers who grew explosively during the pandemic, only to be dropped back down to earth once things got back to ‘normal,’ then this episode is for you. This week Kristen welcomes the editor-in-chief of Entrepreneur magazine, podcast host, and author of the new book “Build for Tomorrow,” Jason Feifer.

Jason’s here to talk with us about adaptability in the face of adversity and how learning to get curious can lead to growth. Strap in as they talk about these key points:

  • How “reconsidering the impossible” in your business can be an opportunity for growth
  • What happens when you assign success to circumstances and luck
  • Jason shares an exercise to help zone into your identity and mission as a business owner
  • Explanation of the concept of  horizontal thinking and vertical thinking

Change is inevitable.  And learning to adapt to the current business landscape is essential. If we gained anything from the past two years, it's the knowledge that using adversity as a stepping stone to innovation can lead to growth in areas you didn’t know were possible. So next time you’re panicked over a downturn in this post-pandemic world, get curious and see where those changes take you.

127. Codependent Accountability05 Sep 202200:18:39

Keeping yourself motivated and on track to reach your goals is hard. Whether your goal is to lose weight or hit that next rank in your business, it can be easy to lose sight of the finish line when things get rough. This is why so many people look outside of themselves for accountability. It can be the fun and excitement of meal planning and prepping or buying all the pens and stickers to go with your new planner. The real truth is that in the end - nothing and no one can hold you accountable but you.

The practice of outsourcing your motivation is what Kristen calls codependent accountability, and it’s something we’ve probably all done in the past. But she’s here to explain why it might not be the best thing if you truly want to reach those goals.

Listen in as she goes over these topics:

  • How to know if you’re crowdsourcing your motivation and accountability
  • The importance of being emotionally connected to your why
  • Kristen’s personal journey with health and wellness and how she keeps her motivation in check
  • Why focusing on small wins can help keep you on track

Learning to be accountable for your own goals isn’t going to happen overnight. It’s a skill you have to learn, and there are sure to be bumps along the way. Remember to give yourself grace and allow for a few missteps. Eventually, you’ll get to where you want to be. Just remember why you’re on the journey in the first place.

126. Passive vs. Active Selling29 Aug 202200:28:46

No one ever said network marketing was going to be easy. But some people in this industry think that by just setting up a website and building a funnel, they’ll have to fight off new customers with a stick. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. When you’re first starting out, your number one job is to generate revenue. You can’t sit around expecting people to show up on their own.

These are actually two totally different selling types known as active and passive selling. And this week, Kristen is going to explain to you where each type of selling fits in based on where you are in your business.

Here are a few takeaways:

  • Run down of the differences between passive and active selling
  • What happens when you jump into passive selling too soon in your business
  • Examples of active selling that can get you back into practice
  • The importance of engagement with your audience in the active selling phase
  • How to know when it’s time to move into passive selling

If you’re in the early phases of your business or not yet meeting your revenue goal, it can be tempting to jump the gun into the passive selling phase. But the easiest way to get where you want to be is to ramp up your active selling. Engaging with your audience in an authentic way will grow your audience and, eventually, your bottom line. Stay consistent, friends!

125. Reel Talk with Brock Johnson22 Aug 202200:37:56

Does Instagram still seem like a mystery to you? With all the recent changes to the algorithm that rewards more views to video content over static images, it’s left the social selling industry in flux, not knowing what the next best move is. And that’s where our guest, Brock Johnson, comes in.

Brock rocketed to a 7-figure income by the age of 25 using social media, and here’s here this week with Kristen to dish about all things Instagram growth. Brock grew his IG account by 400k+ in a matter of months organically and sustainably and now teaches others how to do the same.

Here’s what they’re talking about this week:

  • Why it’s not too late to jump into doing reels
  • How to nix your niche drama (and it’s easier than you think!)
  • The important distinction between fans and followers
  • How having a smaller following can give you an advantage with engagement
  • Ways to protect your time and energy from falling into content creator burnout
  • What to do when the haters inevitably show up

The verdict is in: perfectly curated profiles are out, while authentic and genuine are in. Instagram doesn’t have to be scary. Commit to doing the work consistently and imperfectly, and you will see growth. Not just unengaged followers but fans who want to get to know you and trust your authority.

124. Impractically Perfect15 Aug 202200:23:45

Some people wear their perfectionist title like a badge of honor. Spending time and energy to get all the tiny details just right. But when it comes to growing your business and, more importantly, growing your paycheck, trying to be perfect could be what’s holding you back.

In this week’s episode, Kristen talks about why perfectionism causes what she calls ‘analysis paralysis’ and what to do about it.

Here are a few key points:

  • Understanding what happens when you’re caught in a perfection loop
  • Why failure is a necessary step in growing your business
  • How perfectionism creates an all-or-nothing mindset
  • What messy progress can do for growth

Striving for perfection doesn’t sound like a bad thing in theory. And it isn’t always. But when you’re stuck overthinking and overanalyzing every small detail of your business, that's when the problem arises. Feeling like you have to be perfect creates a heavy burden that you just don’t have to bear. Practice doesn’t always make perfect, but it does make progress.

123. Expectations vs. Reality of Growth with Beka and Laura10 Aug 202200:47:23

Finding and implementing the next best “strategy” or “tip” isn’t the secret to growing your business. It’s never about finding out what’s working for someone else. Success is an inside job. Today’s guests on the podcast, mastermind members Beka and Laura, are sharing their personal experiences around this exact concept and how their expectations were exceeded, but in a very different way.

Here are a few highlights:

  • The myth that speed is the only way to success
  • The massive shifts experienced outside of their business since joining the mastermind
  • How they learned to trust themselves and not look to others to help make decisions
  • Why they had to stop measuring a year’s journey in a 6-month time frame
  • How mastermind members learn to untie their value and self-worth from their business results and use those results as data and information to make CEO decisions instead
  • Their expectations of getting ‘tips and tricks’ from the mastermind vs. what they really got when they joined.

Kristen teaches high level concepts in her Purpose & Profit mastermind that will change your business, but it’s the focus on the whole of the person when members join that helps them transform their lives, relationships, and businesses. That’s what differentiates the mastermind from anything else on the market for network marketers.

122. Calling Your Own BS08 Aug 202200:22:39

Have you ever caught yourself in the middle of a trash thought and wondered how you got there? Sometimes when you’re in the middle of doing something hard (hitting a big goal, trying to exercise more, getting the kids to stick to a bedtime routine), your brain offers these thoughts to try and seek out comfort. It’s not working. I’m not good enough. Nobody listens to me. When in truth - these are just thought patterns you’ve created in order to remove yourself from discomfort.

And that’s ok to a point.

But having these trash thoughts and then choosing to believe them and, in turn - allowing them to alter your course is not ok. Instead, Kristen is encouraging you to call yourself on your own BS. Instead of accepting these stories as facts, she wants to show you how to recognize these thought patterns in order to break the cycle and win the day.

Here’s how:

  • Why being prepared for these thoughts can ultimately crush the pattern
  • Where (and why!) guilt comes into play
  • How to recognize the indications that will alert you when you’re engaging in self-sabotage
  • Important questions to ask yourself when stuck in a pattern of self-sabotage

Getting clear on your own BS behavior is the first step. Your brain will default to these same thoughts and feelings over and over when things get hard. And if you can anticipate these thoughts, it will help you to stay on top of your game and out of your own way in order to reach your goals.

121. The Importance of Inner Work with Maile, Wendy, and Roxy03 Aug 202201:03:13

Oftentimes we think we need the right system, playbook, or strategy to help us lead our teams and grow our businesses. But doing the inner work is what helps you break through your barriers, heal, and then grow without the unhealthy patterns that got you where you are today. Purpose and Profit mastermind members Wendy, Maile, and Roxy are the perfect examples of that work. Listen in as they talk about what they thought the mastermind would teach them vs. what they’ve learned.

Here are a few highlights:

  • How the mastermind reinforces the need for radical self-trust
  • Why it’s important to join the mastermind before you’re in burnout
  • What it means to ‘get systems’ when you join the mastermind
  • Why investing in your network marketing business should be as normal as investing in a brick and mortar business
  • Why healthy leadership is about health in your family, your team, your business, and your body
  • How to have compassion for yourself once you learn a different/healthier way
  • The reason the mastermind is set up for two rounds
  • Learning that it's safe to slow down

Embracing your emotions, learning to trust yourself as a business owner, and knowing when to invest in your business are all things that require inner work. The mastermind provides a safe space to talk about your work and areas of growth with a group of other leaders from the industry. There’s no other place like it in the network marketing industry.

120. Playing the Game01 Aug 202200:28:22

As an entrepreneur and business owner, you’ve probably wondered how other successful business owners know when and why to make decisions in order to grow their business. How did they decide it was time to either press the gas or pump the brakes? And how do they keep going after a big setback? After all - being an entrepreneur can feel like you’re stuck on a rollercoaster.

Kristen thinks the key to being a successful entrepreneur is all in how you play the game. Or rather - how you measure success and learn from failure. In this week’s episode, she’s talking about playing the long, sustainable game in order to grow your business in ways you’ve probably not considered.

Here are a few highlights:

  • Kristen lays out her Rules of Engagement for entrepreneurs
  • How best to learn from failures and painful lessons
  • Why staying engaged during losing seasons can build your strength as a business owner
  • The importance of anticipating problems in your business

Being an entrepreneur is a constant journey of self-refining and reflection. There is no final destination or end goal because the work is never done. Instead of letting these thoughts trigger feelings of exhaustion, perhaps reevaluating how you measure success can help you see that you’re already successful in ways you’d never thought possible.

119. The Value of Peace with Nicole, Morgan, and Jenni27 Jul 202200:52:47

Today Kristen interviews three mastermind members who are in Round 2 of the Purpose and Profit 6-Figure Mastermind. They dive into how the industry and marketplace has changed in our post-pandemic world and how they’ve had to lead and recruit differently. They also cover how they each experienced Round 1 vs. Round 2 and how they’ve found peace in running their businesses.

Here are a few highlights:

  • Why slowing down to work on the foundations of your business is imperative to building a long-term successful business
  • The leadership shifts they had to make in a post-pandemic market
  • The different mindsets each of them were in when they joined and the different areas they had to heal in order to have peace
  • Learning that ‘hustle’ isn’t an action–it’s a mindset
  • How systems changed each of their teams and recruiting
  • How being in the room/container changes all areas of their lives: business, motherhood, partnerships, and more
  • How the safety of the container allows for big breakthroughs

The first round of the mastermind can feel jarring if you’re used to the hustle and grind of growing your business. But Nicole, Morgan, and Jenni leaned into that discomfort and decided to go all-in on both rounds. You can’t put a price tag on running a business from a place of peace. The mastermind container has helped each of these women create that experience from different experiences and tools from the mastermind. Listen in to hear their stories now!

213. 2AM Thoughts: The Truth About Business27 May 202400:45:14

In today’s episode, Kristen is sharing her literal 2am thoughts that couldn’t wait until the morning. These thoughts stem from recent conversations and a growing frustration with the smoke screens we encounter daily on social media about business.

It’s easy to get caught up in the glamorous look of entrepreneurship—the posts promising effortless passive income and ultimate time freedom. But these visions are grossly exaggerated. They present an incomplete picture of what success in the online business space actually looks like. People are falling prey to these promises, naively stepping into spaces without understanding the pain and frustration they might face.

Kristen is here to tell the radical uncomfortable truth about business. The reality is, the hard parts of business have been minimized in the narratives we’re fed.

Let’s look at a few highlights:

  • People are quitting too soon because they believe there’s an easier path elsewhere. But the truth is, there is no “easier” when you aim to achieve big and impactful things in business.
  • Growing your pain tolerance is a crucial part of being an entrepreneur. Pain is an inseparable companion on the journey to success. When you choose to tackle hard things, pain will always be there.
  • Learn to unpack your relationship with pain. What is it bringing up for us? Most importantly, what is the pain trying to teach us?
  • It’s not about finding an easier path but about facing the challenges head-on and growing stronger through them.

So, next time you’re scrolling through social media and see those posts about effortless success, remember this: the true path to success is paved with persistence, resilience, and a whole lot of grit. Let’s stop running from the pain and start recognizing it for what it truly is.

Pinpoint EXACTLY what’s missing from your social media strategy and create a page that instantly magnetizes the RIGHT people to your business.

118. Goal Drama25 Jul 202200:21:23

You may be a goal setting pro who never reaches their goal. Or maybe you don’t even know where to start when thinking about setting a goal. Today, Kristen is going to help clean up any drama that you may have around setting and working towards a goal. Because if you don’t have a healthy relationship with setting goals, you will avoid setting them altogether. And that means no growth in your business or yourself.

Here are a few highlights:

  • What happens when you write down your goal and make it specific

  • How to know how to set your goal parameters and timeline

  • How to avoid hustle when working towards your goal

  • What to do when you find yourself in drama while working on your goal

  • The questions to ask yourself if you don’t hit your goal

  • Why you must see failure as a necessary milestone

There’s a big difference between a “goal setter” and a “goal getter.” A goal getter takes action and learns about themselves in the process. Because the true result of setting a goal is what you reveal about yourself and how you learn from that along the way. It’s so much more than hitting a milestone! Listen now for more.

117. Belonging with Alison and Gina20 Jul 202200:53:04

Today Kristen welcomes two special guests from her 6-Figure Mastermind, where they discuss what it means to “belong” in the network marketing industry, their company, and in the Mastermind.

Gina Luker built a large audience and online business for 10 years before recognizing the profit margins in network marketing and shifting into a nearly 7-figure business.

Alison Petty grew to 6-figures utilizing the ‘cookie cutter’ approach to running her network marketing business, but it took stepping into her uniqueness to scale over and beyond 6-figures.

They discuss how they’ve shifted their mindset on what it means to ‘belong’ and how it’s positively impacted their businesses and their lives.

Here are a few highlights:

  • Why Gina thought she wouldn’t belong in the Mastermind

  • The question Kristen asked Gina when she was doubting joining the mastermind that changed everything

  • What happened once Gina was inside the mastermind and decided that she belonged

  • How slowing down to focus on systems impacted Alison’s team

  • What happened when Alison went to Hawaii for two weeks and didn’t work her business

  • How they both knew they were ready for more–beyond the Social Selling Academy and into the Purpose & Profit Mastermind

Gina and Alison come from different companies and backgrounds and they both questioned if they’d fit into the Mastermind. Listen to their stories of discovering that their differences were the secret sauce to significant business growth AND making lifelong connections inside the Mastermind.

116. Saying No18 Jul 202200:20:32

You may have heard the saying: “When you say ‘yes’ to something, you’re saying ‘no’ to something else.” We can also turn that around to: “When you say ‘no’ to something, you're saying ‘yes’ to something else.” Sometimes that ‘yes’ is in your present reality like your family or your health. And sometimes that ‘yes’ is for a future opportunity.

Today on the show Kristen is walking you through the reasons we tend to say ‘no’ when we should be saying ‘yes’ and vice versa and how you can learn to find the right answer for you with a few simple steps.

Here are a few highlights:

  • Why we overbook and overextend ourselves
  • The exact questions to ask yourself to know if you are truly a ‘yes’ or a ‘no’
  • When a ‘no’ might actually be a ‘yes’
  • How to use emotions as your guide to making a decision
  • How we train ourselves to think everyone else’s wants and needs are more important than ours
  • The exact emotions to consider before making a decision

Deciding to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to an opportunity, obligation, or ‘want’ doesn’t have to be hard. It all boils down to the reasons/emotions behind your decision. Listen in to hear the process of learning how to recognize your underlying emotion/motivation and how to quickly make decisions in your life and business.

115. Belief Outsourcing11 Jul 202200:14:47

You know that having a strong belief in your goals, your business, and yourself is imperative for success, but you’re not sure where to start. Self-belief is not taught to us as kids. Most of us are used to having our parents, teachers, and teammates cheer us on. We’ve learned to depend on other people’s belief in us, including when setting big business goals. But other people aren’t always there to cheer you on and validate you. You must learn to believe in yourself when no one else does.

Building self-belief is powerful work, and Kristen’s sharing a fun episode on how to do this today:

Here are a few highlights:

  • How to know when you’re outsourcing your belief

  • What to do when you have doubters/no one is applauding you

  • The difference between acting with an inflated ego and taking action from a deep belief in your potential

  • How to practice safety with yourself to help build your belief

You don’t need anyone else to believe in you. Learn to hype yourself up when it feels like you have an audience of one person. This will allow you to go out there and take action towards your goal no matter what.

114. The Discipline of Habits04 Jul 202200:25:50

How many times have you been pumped up to make changes in your life only to be disappointed when you quit a few days or weeks into your new habits? No amount of cute workout clothes or pretty planners is going to get you through the resistance and old programming that your brain offers you. Kristen’s giving you exactly how you need to approach your personal development and habit goals instead.

Here are a few highlights:

  • Why we always have resistance to new habits at first
  • What it means to live in the ‘both, and’ world in the first 90 days of your new habit plan
  • The 2 questions you need to answer before you start a new habit
  • Why deciding between being outcome or process-focused is the key to sustainable success
  • The different phases of building new habits

We all have human brains, which means that we’ve all been stalled with resistance while trying to form new habits. To create discipline and develop long-term habits, we must learn how to plan for and manage our brain’s stories when they inevitably crop up. Listen in to approach things differently.

112. Extra Vs More20 Jun 202200:12:05

A lot of people join network marketing because they want extra. Extra income to help ends meet. Extra money to help pay for expenses around the house. Or even an extra paycheck to cover that vacation you’ve been wanting to take.

But somewhere along the way, you saw the potential this industry has to offer. And now that you want to grow your business, you’re so stuck in the mindset that your business is just ‘extra’ that you’re not able to give it the attention it needs in order to be successful.

At the Summer of Success event, Kristen talked about what happens when you want more out of a business you’ve only seen as extra. Listen in to what she had to say about making your business a priority:

  • What giving yourself permission to want more does to your mindset
  • How seeing your business as extra can saddle you with complacency
  • Why guilt over past hustle can stall your growth
  • How to be grateful for what you have and still pursue more

Making your business a priority is not selfish. Instead look at prioritizing your business as a service to your future self, your family, and your customers. When you reevaluate your why you’ll see that you started this business in order to give you and your loved ones a sense of security. Keep that promise to yourself and go for more.

111. Future Self Exercise13 Jun 202200:28:53

Kristen talks a lot about goals here on the podcast. How to set goals, what to do to reach those goals, how to stay on track, and all the stuff in between. But have you ever wondered what uber-successful people do in order to achieve their goals? Well - Kristen is going to crack that code for you today.

It starts with a concept Kristen calls the future self exercise. This future self is a vision of yourself set in a future where you’ve already attained your goals. And its impact on your current self can help shift how you show up now in order to get the future you’ve been waiting for.

Not convinced? Listen in as Kristen talks about these topics:

  • How to set the right goals for your future self in order to obtain them
  • Why envisioning your future success can manifest into current success
  • What showing up as your future self might look like
  • How to take the emotion and attachment out of sales because you believe your success is inevitable

When you show up now in the way your future, successful self does, you’re showing up in a way that serves your audience and your business. By stepping into the space as the future version of yourself who is no longer worried and anxious about making a sale, you make more room for the things that actually move your business along. The work starts now

212. Avoiding the Summer Slump20 May 202400:16:08

As the temperatures rise and summer sets in, many business owners find themselves tempted to hit the pause button on their business. Kristen's heard it time and again "summer is crazy, and I have to slow down my business." With vacations, kids home and outdoor activities, it's easy to see why entrepreneurs might want to slow down. But here's the truth: your present actions will shape your future results.

In today's episode, Kristen delivers an important message. Slowing down during the summer months can have lasting repercussions on your business pipeline and long-term growth.

Let’s look at a few highlights:

  • The mistake many business owners make is failing to grasp the connection between present actions and future outcomes.
  • Your audience relies on you to be reliable and present.
  • By staying the course, remaining consistent, and actively engaging with your audience, you lay the groundwork for long-term success.
  • Building a sustainable business means working diligently in every season, not just when it's convenient.

If you've convinced yourself that summer isn't the time for business growth, it's time to rethink your strategy. Don't sell yourself short by taking your foot off the gas pedal when the weather gets warmer. Instead, embrace the season as an opportunity to build, nurture, and thrive.

So, don't hit pause. Keep pushing forward, and you'll reap the rewards in the months to come.

Join Kristen at the Summer of Success May 20-22 at noon CT each day. Learn how to work your business during a busy season. Kids are home from school? Vacation plans? Company visiting? You're going to learn how to show up and keep momentum in your business no matter what's going on in your life! Grab your ticket here for just $5: https://www.kristenboss.com/summer-of-success The cart closes Tuesday night, May 21st!

110. Slow Evidence06 Jun 202200:27:54

No one in network marketing starts out on top. As a matter of fact - Every single social seller had to start at the bottom and then work their way up. So then it would be true to say that every single social seller listening to this episode has had to deal with building up belief in themselves before they began being successful.

And keeping belief in yourself as you build towards your goals can be daunting. We all know (by now) that consistency compounds and that the secret to being successful is found in daily activities. But what’s the secret to keeping belief high enough so that you can keep going?

Well - it’s not a secret, but Kristen calls this concept “slow evidence.” Slow evidence is what happens when you quit listening to the stories and instead focus on what is going right.

Here are a few highlights:

  • How to look out for the stories you begin to tell yourself on the way to building slow evidence
  • Why 90 days of consistent effort is where the magic starts to happen
  • How you might be using your goal against yourself
  • Why the energy behind the action is just as important as the action itself

Trusting the process is part of the process. Your brain is going to try and throw you off course, so it’s important to be aware of your stories so that you stay focused on your goal. The good news is that the further along you get, the easier it will be to find evidence until there’s a mountain behind you.

109. Mind Your 530 May 202200:42:24

There’s a well-known quote from motivational speaker, Jim Rohn: “You’re the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” It’s no question that we’re all heavily influenced by those we choose to surround ourselves with, whether they’re friends, family, or coworkers. But have you ever taken a moment to think about how they might be affecting your mindset or how you show up in your business?

Kristen believes that by evaluating those relationships you can start to become intentional within them - instead of finding yourself in social circles where you have to ask “How did I get here?”

Listen in as she goes over these topics and more:

  • When is it time to evaluate and edit your circle of friends

  • Kristen’s own process of evaluating relationships

  • Questions to ask yourself to know when you’ve outgrown a relationship

  • Why it’s necessary to set healthy boundaries

  • How the tone of conversations you have with your team can affect your business

By evaluating and being intentional about those you spend time with, you can choose to stop living in default. Don’t be afraid to edit your relationships, or even edit the conversations you have within those relationships. Surround yourself with those who challenge you to grow and become your best self.

107. The Secret of Consistency16 May 202200:20:19

Kristen doesn’t mince words when she explains how important consistency is. If you follow her on Instagram, you’ve likely seen her favorite tagline “Consistency Compounds” splattered all over her page. And while saying the words are easy enough, putting them into practice can be a struggle all on its own. So how do you stay consistent when life gets hard?

This week Kristen is talking about the secret to consistency and answering those tough questions. Because it's easy to make daily posts on social media when orders or rolling in. But when belief is low and you feel discouraged, showing up can feel exhausting. She knows because she’s been there.

  • Why self-discipline is important when learning to stay committed to your goals

  • What it feels like to take committed actions both in personal life and in business

  • Kristen’s own struggle to stay consistent in the early days and how that turned around

  • What commitment and consistency look like at different seasons in your journey as a business owner

Learning consistency when it comes to running your network marketing business is a lot like exercise. You know the results won’t come on day 1, or even day 2. But it is still important to get started on the long road to improving your health. It’s the same with staying engaged in your business even when your belief is low. Choosing to start is the first step to success.

Summer of Success Live event registration is now open! Tired of having to choose between making summer memories with your loved ones and running a successful business? Well - now you don’t have to! Join Kristen LIVE on June 6th and 7th where she’ll show you how to build a simple and sustainable business plan so that your business can thrive while you’re spending time with the kids by the pool. 106. Committed vs Convenient09 May 202200:41:50

A lot of network marketers joined this industry so that they could earn money while living their life on their terms. That’s why it's so attractive to moms and those who already have full-time jobs. It can easily fit into your schedule and help make ends meet. But if you’re getting frustrated because you expected more from this side gig while also continuing to treat it like a hobby - you might want to listen in.

Kristen is ready to take y’all to church today. She wants to have an honest conversation with you about running your business as a convenience versus running it out of commitment. And we’re not just talking about scheduling posts. Kristen is talking about the mindset changes that need to occur in order to break through to commitment and success.

Here are a few highlights:

  • How to determine whether you’re running your business from a place of convenience or commitment
  • Why it’s easier to maintain commitment than it is to rebuild after every break
  • Importance of managing expectations if you’re running your business like a hobby
  • How commitment (even on a small scale) can keep hustle from creeping up on you when life gets busy

We get it. Life is hard. And sometimes things come up that can get in the way. But the bottom line is that the decision to commit is entirely up to you. You can choose to ‘boss up’ and honor the promises you made to yourself, or you can continue being frustrated and feeling like you’ll never succeed.

We hope you’ll choose the path to commitment so that we can share in celebrating you soon.

105. Overcoming the Dry Spell02 May 202200:25:53
When it comes to finding potential recruits for your network marketing business, you’ve likely gone through a dry spell or two. Or maybe you’re currently in one. If so then you understand how those dry spells in recruiting can lead to panic, overthinking, and the dreaded hustle cycle. Well - don’t despair fellow social seller, this episode is especially for you.

This week, Kristen is talking about how to overcome your dry spell with a bold approach that could leave you fighting off the onslaught of new leads. She’s not talking about gimmicks or giveaways. No, she’s talking authentic, sustainable growth for both you and your new team.

Listen in as she goes over these key points:

  • The different types of recruits and how they approach this industry
  • How thoughts around a dry spell can lead to imposter syndrome and self-judgment
  • Why thinking $200 a month isn’t enticing enough for new recruits could be causing a block
  • The importance of setting expectations from the start instead of selling the business as fast and easy money
  • How the language in your messaging might be targeting the wrong type of people

The stories surrounding your thoughts about how you got into a dry spell are just that. Stories. They’re thoughts you choose to have and you can just as easily choose not to have them as well. When you change your focus to target the right kind of people and commit to making it happen, you’ll see that you had the power to change all along. You just had to be bold enough to make the change.

104. Inner Authority25 Apr 202200:20:07

Ever have trouble trying to decide where to eat? After a long day at work or dealing with things at home, sometimes it’s just easier to have someone else decide where to eat instead of having to figure it out on your own. This deflecting of decision making is what Kristen terms as ‘outsourcing thoughts and actions.’ And it isn’t always a bad thing - until it is.

When faced with a decision, whether it’s personal or business related, it can seem like a good idea at the time to ask more trusted figures in your life for their feedback or opinions. But the truth is that no one has more authority over those decisions than you, especially when dealing with something that affects your business.

That’s why this week Kristen is talking about your inner authority and why deciding to trust yourself to know what’s best could be the most important decision you’ve ever made.

Here are a few highlights:

  • How outsourcing your thoughts or actions can diminish your authority

  • Examples of healthy ways to ask for insight instead of wholly outsourcing the decision making

  • How owning your authority can lead to consistency

  • Why it’s important to help build your team’s independence

  • What role you play as a team leader

When you allow others to make decisions for you, you allow them to take your power as well. You can start taking this power back, and have full ownership over your results, simply by trusting yourself with decisions a bit more each day. Remember, no one knows the ins and outs of your business quite like you.

103. Buyers and Builders18 Apr 202200:16:19

The Know, Like, Trust factor is all the rage these days. If you’re selling anything online you know how important it is to gain the confidence of your audience. But what do you do when you’re dealing with two different customer types in one group?

As a network marketer, you have a unique position where you’re addressing both buyers and builders. And this unique position can cause some anxiety and confusion about how to craft your messaging on social media in order to not sacrifice one for the other.

This week, Kristen is shedding some light on how to cross the so-called divide between buyers and builders, and how best to solve for the problem of creating confidence in both groups in one fell swoop.

Check out this week's key points:

  • The difference between buyer’s confidence and builder’s confidence

  • Why you shouldn’t use ‘industry jargon’ when addressing your buyers in the audience

  • How your belief in yourself as a leader can create or destroy confidence in potential builders

  • Why addressing objections can build confidence in converting buyers to builders

In order to gain the trust of your buyers (and builders), you must first trust yourself and your ability to serve your audience. If you have low belief in yourself, your products, or your ability to grow leaders, that will shine through in your messaging. Remember that selling is a form of service. You’re serving your audience by providing the solution to their problem. And that alone can help you on your way to gaining their confidence

102. How to Be Proud11 Apr 202200:28:48

If you’ve ever been around kids, you know how excited they can get at even the smallest accomplishments. And as their caregivers, we too light up at the chance to share how proud we are of them. Big or small, we understand the importance of acknowledging their accomplishments but oftentimes fall short when it comes to our own.

Kristen is here this week to talk about how being proud of your work doesn’t make you arrogant and instead believes celebrating your success is an important part of life and necessary work in order to lead a successful business.

Listen in as she discusses these points:

  • How taking ownership of your results can lead to a massive mindset shift

  • What actually happens when you don’t take credit for your accomplishments

  • Why not feeling proud of your work can cause diminished growth

  • How celebrating doesn’t mean you’re growth is done

Feeling proud of your accomplishments can bring a whole host of negative feelings to the surface. When you understand the benefits of celebrating your wins (and what can happen when you don’t), then perhaps you can learn to create space for yourself in order to feel the joy you deserve.

211. Training Throwback: "Revamp Your Business Webinar"13 May 202400:47:28

Staying committed can often be the difference between success and failure. Kristen wastes no time in driving home this point, emphasizing the need for dedication to your business. But why is consistency so crucial? It's simple: trust. Building trust with your audience is paramount, and trust is forged through consistent action and delivery.

In today’s episode Kristen explores how to revamp your business in just 90 days, focusing on the vital importance of commitment and providing value to your customers. However, commitment goes beyond simply chasing a paycheck.

Let’s look at a few highlights:

  • Kristen challenges us to look for non-monetary victories. It's about cultivating a "keep going" mentality, refusing to be deterred by setbacks and obstacles.
  • Ask yourself what does commitment look like for you? Unpack the driving force that propels you forward even when the going gets tough.
  • How can we authentically connect with our audience and meet their needs?

Commitment is more than just a mindset, it requires action. Kristen encourages us to commit to specific goals and strategies, whether it's through consistent social media presence, delivering valuable content, or nurturing relationships with our customers. It's about showing up consistently, day in and day out, and delivering on our promises.

And, remember that true success is not measured solely by financial gain.

101. Us vs. Them04 Apr 202200:43:07

It’s come to Kristen’s attention that there are members of the network marketing community who believe that hustle equals anything that looks like hard work. Or anything that feels uncomfortable.

And sometimes people can be so afraid of committing hustle that they avoid certain tasks because they feel spammy or salesy. But none of that equals the true definition of hustle. Hustle comes about when you stop serving your audience and start serving yourself.

Listen in on this week’s episode where Kristen explains what hustle really is, how to avoid it, and how to create sustainable growth. Here are a few highlights you won’t want to miss:

  • The phases of growth in network marketing and why there’s more work to be done on the front end

  • The important distinction between approaching your audience from a place of abundance vs. a place of lack

  • How being in a place of low belief can lead to hustle and burnout

  • Why you might be using hustle as an excuse to not do the hard things

The stories you tell yourself about what hustle means to you can affect your business just as much as hustle itself. Learning to lean into the uncomfortable and hard things from a place of service can lead you to healthy and sustainable growth.

100. Safety and Success28 Mar 202200:38:23

What does the most successful version of yourself look like? We’re not talking about mediocre success. No- we’re talking extraordinary, outrageous success. The kind of success that almost feels arrogant and uncomfortable.

Can you picture it? Good.

Now think about how this version of yourself will change your life as you know it. Will you lose friendships because of this success? Will you alienate family members who don’t want to hear about how successful you are? Will you be judged by others? These are all things that can hold you back from even attempting to reach those goals.

In today’s special 100th episode, Kristen is talking about safety and how the (sometimes unknown) fear of isolation caused by enormous success can stop you in your tracks before you even get started. Strap in for a vulnerable take on a lesson Kristen learned the hard way.

Here are this week’s takeaways:

  • How feelings of being unsafe in your success can trigger self-sabotage
  • Why you create emotional safety in the pursuit of your goals
  • The importance of learning to calm your emotional/physical response to taking extraordinary risks
  • Why you feel exhausted for weeks after going for a big goal
  • How having a CEO mindset can shift your level of commitment to your business

Self-sabotage is real. The good news is that it’s fixable. When you learn to support and love yourself, even at peak success, you’re creating safety surrounding the risk. Instead of letting negative thoughts run the show, you can practice creating safety ahead of time so that when the time comes for you to move into the most successful version of yourself - you’ll be ready.

99. Time Scarcity21 Mar 202200:20:52
“I have so much time to get things done today” - said no one ever. If you’re one of the countless network marketers who always feels like you’re running around with your hair on fire trying to get everything done but never having enough time, listen up.

This week Kristen is talking about the concept of time scarcity and how it can lead to some not-so-great results both in your personal life and in your business. So if you’re looking for ways to get more out of your day (and who isn’t?) this podcast is for you.

Check out these highlights:

  • Ways to tell if you’re dealing with time scarcity
  • How feelings of overwhelm can cause you to actually get less done
  • What Kristen believes is the biggest fear of business owners
  • How time scarcity can lead to fewer recruits
  • Why putting systems and boundaries in place could be the key to directing your time

Choosing your thoughts about time and how you spend it can actually affect your business in ways you wouldn’t expect. When you decide to let things go (let that laundry sit!) and choose to focus on the things that matter, you end up creating more time. When everything is important - nothing is important. Being intentional with your time starts with your thoughts.

98. Online Party Myths14 Mar 202200:22:43
2020 was a lot of things, but to network marketers, it was the year of the online party. With lockdowns and people being stuck at home, it was easier than ever to find people wanting to host. But now those parties, which were once jam-packed with attendees and full of life, are feeling kind of… dead.

Or are they?

Kristen certainly doesn’t think so. That’s why this week she is addressing the myth that online parties are yesterday’s news because they most definitely are not.

Here are a few highlights:

  • The importance of being transparent on what to expect when hosting an online party
  • Why the thoughts surrounding parties can affect the level of success your hosts might achieve
  • What hesitations your hosts might be having and how to address them
  • How to gauge how successful your party is (spoiler alert! It’s not $$)

Selling others on hosting an online party isn’t much different than selling your product. It all comes down to serving. When you come to your potential hosts with thoughts of how best to serve them instead of thinking of your bottom line you end up selling them on the value of a party they will enjoy.

And speaking of parties - If you’d like to join the launch party for Kristen’s new book Pivot to Purpose: Leaving the Toxic Hustle Culture Behind,  you can click here to join the list and pre-order your copy today.

97. Micro Hustle07 Mar 202200:33:56

What’s your definition of hustle? Is hustle spamming your friend’s list with messages, asking for help meeting your end-of-month sales goals? Is it working on your business 12 hours a day, never taking time for yourself or your family? Or is it something a little sneakier than that?

Just because you’ve set healthy boundaries and don’t camp out in everyone’s DMs doesn’t mean you’ve completely erased hustle from your business. Kristen is here to talk about micro hustle - or the small ways that you allow hustle to creep in right under your nose without you ever being aware it's there.

Listen in this week as she talks about how to recognize micro hustle and what to do about it. Here are a few highlights:

  • Learning how to love the process of growing your business

  • Honest definition of Hustle (it might not be what you think!)

  • How shame can allow hustle to creep up

  • The language we use that opens the door to hustle

  • Where burnout actually occurs

Hustle doesn’t have to be a life sentence. With helpful reminders and a commitment to serving your audience, it’s never too late to set and then reach those big goals. It starts with healing your thoughts around hustle so that you can serve your audience in a sustainable way.

96. High Performers and Marriage with Dr. Chavonne28 Feb 202200:38:11

Many people join the network marketing business model because they want something better for their families. Whether it’s the ability to work from home or the extra income, it’s easy to see why it’s so inviting. But juggling the needs of a successful business and your family can be difficult even on the best days.

It can become even more challenging if your marriage is suffering as well. Keeping your relationship healthy is hard enough, but throw in the added stress of a growing business and you’ve got a recipe for potential disaster.

This week Kristen is talking with friend, colleague, and marriage coach Dr. Chavonne, about how to eliminate relationship burnout from putting your spouse on the back burner.

Listen in as they discuss:

  • How to tell if your self-worth is tied to achievement
  • Learning to have compassion for yourself when you feel the need to escape into your business
  • Achievement addiction
  • The dangers of weaponizing your personal development against your spouse
  • What it looks like to hold space for your spouse in your day-to-day

Often it’s easy to get lost in your business, especially if you’re experiencing success. But if you take the time to refocus on why you started your business in the first place, it can be the first step into relational harmony with your loved ones.

95. Two Words to Ditch Forever21 Feb 202200:23:56
How many times have you uttered the words should or need when talking about your network marketing business? I should post more, I should engage with more people. I need to hit the next rank, I need to create my systems. Have you ever noticed what feelings come up when you start with the shoulds and needs? If you’re being honest then I’m betting it isn’t all sunshine and rainbows.

The words should and need are two words Kristen thinks you can ditch, ASAP. The negative space you sit in when using these two words isn’t serving you, your team or your audience. Listen in as she explains how using should and need affects you and what it’s causing you to miss out on.

Here are some highlights:

  • Why the word should invites guilt into your mindset
  • How “should language” robs us of being present and feeling joy in the moment
  • The connection between mom guilt and the words should and need
  • The emotions that come up when saying the word need
  • Why it’s important to meet your needs before your business needs in order to cut out the scarcity mindset that comes along with “I need”

It might seem silly to think that using two little words can have such a big impact on your mindset, but when you complete the thought that begins with “I need” or “I should” you can start to unravel and understand how it might be holding you back. Instead think of what you could be doing, or what you want instead of what you should or need.

94. Selling the Business14 Feb 202200:27:17
Recruiting others to join your team can often feel intimidating, especially if you haven’t sold yourself on your ability to lead. You might be thinking that you’re not qualified to lead a team until you hit a certain rank or spend more time tweaking your systems. But the truth is - you have everything you need to lead right where you are.

This week Kristen is talking about the stories you tell yourself about why you’re not selling the business and how to flip it around and start getting loud. You don’t need better systems or a bigger paycheck to rock as a leader. All you need is your belief in this business model and yourself.

Here are a few highlights from today’s episode:

  • Reasons you might be shying away from making bold offers
  • Why you should stop looking for a unicorn
  • What a powerful offer looks like
  • How to position yourself as a leader before you have a team

You don’t have to wait until you hit some predetermined milestone to start recruiting. All that time spent waiting can be better spent making bold offers to others who were once in your shoes. Something as little as $200 a month can be a transformative amount of money for lots of people, and you’re in a perfect position to introduce those people to this industry. Trust yourself and your skills and go out there and serve.

93. Releasing Judgement07 Feb 202200:30:01

How many of you have received cold messages from someone else in the industry and thought to yourself, that’s so gross? Little did you know that this tiny thought can open up a can of worms that can cause significant issues within your own business.

When the judgment of others and how they sell occupy space in your brain, it can often find its way into how you present your offers, leading to inaction over the fear of sounding gross or spammy. That’s why this week, Kristen is talking about releasing the judgment you have about other social sellers in order to show up for your audience consistently.

Listen in to learn about this week’s topics:

  • Examining your thoughts and stories surrounding how you like being sold to
  • Learning to have compassion for those still stuck in hustle culture
  • How to know when you’re in the judgment zone
  • The crisis caused by thinking there’s a right and wrong way to sell on social media
  • Finding things to learn from your sideline/upline, even if they sell differently than you

When we cast judgment on others for doing things ‘wrong’, it creates a divide within the network marketing community. Instead, learn to redirect these sellers with compassion instead of reprimanding in judgment. You can build a community in which we all belong when you learn to release your judgment.
