Jakob Frímann Magnússon is a musical chameleon, wearing many hats in the Icelandic music scene and beyond. Born in Denmark but raised in Iceland, Jakob co-founded the legendary Icelandic band Stuðmenn back in his high school days, and they’ve been rocking since the 1970s. He also direct films, produces TV shows, and even had a stint as a cultural attaché in London. His latest outfit, Jack Magnet Science, has just released an album after gathering a bunch of talented musicians in an Icelandic studio to jam and see what happens. And when he has a spare hour or two, Jakob is also a member of the Icelandic parliament and has facilitated some fascinating initiatives for musicians..

Roddy Bottum, Faith No More / Imperial Teen / Crickets

Saison 1 · Épisode 23

samedi 5 septembre 2020Durée 01:01:42

Roddy Bottum would be best known to most listeners as the keyboard player in the phenomenally successful hard rock outfit Faith No More. However as we’ll learn, Roddy is a musician with a prolific and diverse output, which includes the indie pop sensibilities of Imperial Teen, the dancey electronica of Crickets and the doomy metal of Nastie Band – all current projects. Add to this his current COVID isolation inspired collaboration with his Partner Joey Holman and his film score and opera work, it’s fair to say that Roddy is not only an excellent keyboard player, but a truly creative artist with plenty to share.
