The strategy of selling product is constantly changing and I wanted to share with you the concept of "Content into Commerce," which involves selling products or services on the back of valuable content shared through media channels

I provide examples from New Zealand comedian Joe Daymond and companies such as West Park, Complex, and Barstool Sports, who have successfully monetized their content through merchandise, hot sauce, and frozen pizza.

Others are also embracing this strategy with the likes of the team at You Know Clothing. You may have noticed the content they have been putting out recently which is entertaining and informing all while they are wearing their product within the content.

The key to success is consistently providing value to the audience and establishing oneself as a trusted and reliable source of information.

I'm struggling with ideas, motivation, I'm trying to navigate our way through Covid in New Zealand with the kids at home and my father-in-law passed away suddenly, which is having affects on me.

I'm finding though that having a routine helps, helps me keep moving forward, pulling me through the 'rut' and helping build my mental strength.

Another week of creating and being on my journey of becoming a content creator

I wanted to create vlogs but my head is all over the place with the kinda theme I want to go with. Originally I wanted to do it like a TV show so have a cool intro and then roll into a storyline with some cool edits and transitions. But now I’m sort of liking the style of Evan Ranft where he talks to the camera quite a bit - I’ll try both (something Gary Vee says - try both. What harm will it do)

This week I used my free credit on audilble and downloaded the book by Gary Vaynerchuk called Thank You Economy

Been having some fun designing my apparel range I’ve got about five prints created now I just need to get them applied to T-shirts

Helped Nehe Milner-Skudder with editing his video of a programme he wants to run to help kids with mental health

Inspired by 7th Era I grabbed the camera and headed into the city to take some night photos because that’s the theme of my posts in June on Instagram - @votion.co.nz

I watched an old vlog from Casey Neistat because it popped up in a recommended list and he spoke about how to use your time wisely and also while you’ve got the most energy in your life

I've had a few people ask me what it takes to start a podcast, and although I'm only a few podcasts deep, I wanted to share with you what I've learnt so far.

The biggest thing I can say is don't worry about the equipment you don't have, focus on the equipment you do have. All you need is some form of a voice recorder - it could even be your phone.

There's also steps to releasing your first Podcast and I share with you how you go about doing it and things like Auphonic and Libsyn.
