Professor Shoshana is a graduate of Stern College for Women, with a B.S. in both Judaic Studies and English Literature, and holds master’s degrees from Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies and Columbia University School of Journalism.

Mrs Schechter is the Associate Dean of Torah Studies at Stern College for Women and the director of the Mechina program. The Mechina program, which she founded 17 years ago, accommodates students who did not receive a formal Jewish education prior to their enrollment at Stern College.

She has also taught Tanakh and English at various high schools in the New York area. She's a frequent lecturer on topics in Tanakh and has been involved in Jewish outreach programs on four continents. She lives in New Hampshire, New York, with her husband and five children.

In preparation for Pesach, we are talking to Yair Daar who has been a Jewish educator and administrator for the past 15 years and is currently working at Yeshivat He’Atid in New Jersey. He is also involved in the organization of Moshava Ba'ir summer camps and various workshops. Yair emphasizes the importance of creating a positive feeling around the Seder and presenting the story in a way that everybody can understand. He doesn’t have any specific rules but insists on good storytelling and supporting activities. Welcome to another episode of The Jews Next Dor! Our guest today is Dr. Robyn Koslowitz, one of the great leaders in our generation in the parenting realm. She is a licensed clinical psychologist, a parenting educator, and the educational director of the Targeted Parenting Institute.

Targeted Parenting is a parenting system that uses empirically validated techniques to train parents and children to overcome various disorders of childhood in a preventative fashion, in order to minimize or avoid later expensive psychotherapy.

We all know the names Shifra and Puah - the Jewish midwives that saved the Jewish boys, and many of us know the Rashi’s that explain that Shifra was named Shifra bec she was משפר - beautified the child, and puah went pu pu to soothe the child after they were born.
