I think this is WHY there is so much confusion around it. Because one ‘EXPERT’ is saying one thing and another something else.

Because man… if I see one more social media manager on INSTAGRAM say that your CONTENT PILLARS are educational, entertaining, inspirational + promotional - I’ll tear my hair out 🥵

I’m sorry but I’m over it!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Making it look pretty doesn’t make the information CORRECT 🙃 (currently shaking my head as I’m writing this).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
CONTENT PILLARS are unique to YOUR PAGE.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They are NOT general topics, they are what support your entire strategy and are needed for you to then address what I call VALUE, CONNECTION + PROMOTIONAL content.

So many biz owners are wanting to do the bare min and get the max results, they are not posting consistently, content quality is low, copying ideas, not speaking to anyone, not encouraging engagement or conversations, not using video or hashtags... the list goes on! 

Knowing this info can be a huge advantage to you, if you work in social media management or if you’re a business using Instagram, trying to get your content in front of more people! 

Mosseri said in one of his reels that: The more likely you are to take an action, and the more heavily we weigh that action, the higher up you’ll see the post," says Adam Mosseri, Head of Instagram

Meaning what Instagram shows you in the feed is dependent on: the time spent on a post, whether are you likely to like it, whether are you likely to comment, save or tap on their profile.

Guys we need to get down in the DMs! I want to challenge you this week to change up your call to actions in your feed post and your Stories. Instead of telling people to go and click the link in your bio (where I’m sure they will go and find 100 links, have too many choices and not click any) say “DM  me”.

Why am I asking you to do this? Because Instagram is a platform designed to keep it’s users on the platform. I understand that some people don’t like getting a lot DM’s or might not have time to go through and find that one really important one! Listen to find out more.

Have the guts to ask for help with tasks you can't do or know someone can do better! DO IT! If you can't do something and Googling it is going to take you 10 hours, ASK FOR HELP! Something Elsa and I spoke about is this massive marketing trend of using your income as your main marketing message. While it applies to some businesses for others it seems like they are just jumping on the bandwagon and it's hard to know who to trust. 

Elsa brought up a good point that many people LIE and there is an era of false advertising on the rise, with very little consequence. In this episode, we have a great chat about this as well as give you a few other areas of marketing to focus on in 2023.
