49. What No One Tells You About Alignment: It Might Break You Before It Builds You | Week 1228 May 202500:27:18

Episode Summary:
In this final episode of our 12-week journey, I share one of the most personal and transformative stories of my life—the season when everything I thought I wanted fell apart, and I was invited into deeper trust. We talk about what alignment really looks like—not the polished version we imagine, but the raw, unfiltered surrender to God’s unfolding plan. I’ll share the lessons I’ve learned through loss, waiting, and rebuilding, and offer encouragement for anyone standing at the edge of uncertainty.

🌿 In This Episode, You’ll Learn:

  • What alignment really looks like—and why it’s not about perfection

  • My personal journey of losing everything I thought I wanted and starting from ground zero

  • How God’s plans, though different from our own, are always rooted in love and purpose

  • Why trust grows strongest in the dark seasons of waiting and unknowing

  • The difference between giving up and giving over—and how surrender is an act of strength

  • Practical ways to cultivate trust in God’s unfolding plan for your life

    💬 Reflection Prompts:

    • Where am I still clinging to control instead of surrendering to God’s plan?

    • What might God be preparing me for, even when I can’t see the full picture?

  • How can I practice daily trust and presence in the unfolding of my life?

🌿 This Episode Is for You If:

    • You’re navigating a season of uncertainty or loss

    • You feel disconnected from your sense of purpose or alignment

    • You’re craving peace and trust in God’s bigger story for your life

    • You need a reminder that grace meets you exactly where you are

  • 48. The Trap of Misalignment: When Loyalty Outweighs Truth | Week 1121 May 202500:24:05

In this powerful and intimate episode, we dive into the subtle trap of misalignment—the kind that doesn’t scream but slowly erodes your peace, especially within long-term relationships and friendships.

I share the story of a friendship that once felt like everything I had prayed for—a sisterhood, a sanctuary, a soul-aligned bond—but over time, became emotionally draining, unbalanced, and quietly harmful.
Through vulnerability and spiritual reflection, I explore how easy it is to overlook misalignment when it hides behind loyalty, history, and comfort.

If you’ve ever felt the ache of staying in a relationship that no longer feeds your soul—this episode is for you. We unpack how misalignment often speaks through unease, tension, and emotional depletion… and how God gently nudges us back toward peace, truth, and wholeness.

What You’ll Hear In This Episode:

    • The real reason we ignore emotional misalignment in relationships

    • Why letting go can feel like betrayal—but staying often is

    • How to recognize when your soul is shrinking in someone’s presence

    • Why expired friendships are often the clearest signs of misalignment

    • How to discern the difference between comfort and divine alignment

  • What it means to grieve a friendship with grace, not guilt

    📖 Journal Prompts:

    1. Where in your life are you mistaking comfort for alignment?

    2. Is there a relationship that once felt sacred but now feels heavy?

    3. What would it look like to honor the ending of a friendship without making yourself or them wrong?

  • 4. What have you been tolerating out of fear of change?

  • Next Week:
  • We’re closing out the series with a deep exploration into what it actually looks and feels like to live in alignment—not the curated version, but the real, messy, soul-anchored version of peace. You won’t want to miss it.

Welcome back to Week 2 of our 12-week journey—a path designed to guide you home to yourself. This episode is all about learning to trust the right voice: your intuition. That quiet, unwavering knowing inside of you has always been there, but how often do we actually listen to it? Today, we’re peeling back the layers of conditioning and noise to reconnect with the truth that’s been within you all along.

Through personal stories and deep reflection, we’ll explore the difference between ego and intuition, the struggles of ignoring our inner wisdom, and the process of surrendering to what we truly need—even when it’s not what we want to hear.

    Episode Topics & Key Themes

The Voice Inside Us All – Understanding the difference between ego and intuition
Ignoring the Whispers – How distractions, conditioning, and avoidance keep us from trusting ourselves

📌 Growth isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes, what’s best for us isn’t easy, but it’s necessary.
📌 Surrender is where clarity begins. The answers we seek aren’t outside of us—they’ve been within us all along.

📌 You Are Not Your Thoughts – Learning to question the stories you tell yourself is the first step to freedom.
📌 Letting Go Isn’t About Forgetting—It’s About Making Space – Releasing old versions of yourself doesn’t mean erasing the past; it means creating room for the person you’re becoming.

    35. Letting Go Without Regret | Surrendering vs. Quitting19 Feb 202500:27:09

    Episode Summary:
Have you ever found yourself at a crossroads, wondering whether to keep pushing forward or finally let go? In today’s episode, we explore the difference between surrendering and giving up—two experiences that may look similar on the surface but come from completely different energies.

Giving up carries feelings of defeat, doubt, and lingering what ifs. Surrender, on the other hand, is about trusting yourself—your body, your heart, and your soul—to guide you toward what’s truly meant for you.

    We’ll dive into:
✅ How to recognize when something has run its course.
✅ The ways your body signals misalignment (and why we often ignore it).

✅ The courage it takes to build a life on a foundation of authenticity.
✅ Practical steps to align with your true identity and values.

    32. Seasons of Growth | Finding Strength in Stillness29 Jan 202500:24:14

In this episode, we explore the profound wisdom that winter has to offer, both in nature and in our own lives.

Inspired by a recent therapy session, I reflect on the cycles of contraction and expansion that we all experience and how the stillness of winter mirrors our need to slow down, let go, and reconnect with ourselves.

Together, we’ll unpack the lessons winter teaches us about rest, clarity, letting go, and patience. We’ll also challenge the cultural obsession with excess and the illusion of constant upward success, embracing instead the natural rhythms of growth and transformation.

This episode is an invitation to honor the season you’re in, lean into the push and pull of life, and trust the timing of your own journey.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

    • Why the push and pull of life is essential for growth and self-awareness.
    • How the winter season serves as a metaphor for contraction, rest, and letting go.
    • The dangers of resisting life’s natural rhythms and our society’s obsession with constant achievement.
    • Four key lessons we can take from winter:
    • Why success isn’t a linear climb but a series of peaks, valleys, and restarts—just like the cycles of nature.

  • Reflection Questions:

    • What season of life are you currently in—contraction, expansion, or somewhere in between?
    • What can you let go of right now to create space for growth and clarity?
    • How can you give yourself permission to rest and honor where you are in your journey?

    Episode Highlights:
[0:00] Introduction and the inspiration behind today’s topic.
[3:10] The importance of pausing and reconnecting with yourself amidst daily life’s busyness.
[6:50] Personal reflections: Moving through the push and pull of contraction and expansion.
[11:30] Winter as a metaphor for letting go and slowing down.
[15:45] The cultural obsession with excess and the myth of linear success.
[18:20] Four lessons from winter and how they apply to our personal growth.
[25:30] Embracing the cycles of life: Peaks, valleys, and the restart of learning.
[29:15] Final thoughts: Honoring the season you’re in and trusting the process.

    31. From Superficial to Soulful | How Friendships Evolve as We Grow23 Jan 202500:30:32

What makes certain friendships stand the test of time while others fade away?

In this episode, we dive into the profound evolution of friendships and explore why, as we grow, we naturally shift from valuing quantity to craving depth and connection.

I reflect on my own journey of redefining relationships—letting go of friendships that no longer served me, learning to embrace the space they left behind, and discovering the power of creating meaningful, soul-level connections.

Drawing inspiration from The Law of Attraction and my personal experiences, we’ll explore the concept of being an "allower"—someone who holds space for others to show up as their whole, imperfect selves.

We’ll also talk about the hard but liberating process of releasing relationships that have run their course, and how to intentionally cultivate friendships that align with who you’re becoming.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

The difference between superficial friendships and deeply enriching, soulful connections. Why we tend to value quantity over quality in our early years, and how that shifts as we grow. The importance of being an "allower" and how it strengthens your relationships. How to reflect on your friendships using three powerful questions: How letting go of friendships that no longer align creates space for more aligned, fulfilling connections. The wisdom behind the phrase: "People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime."

    Key Takeaways:

You are the average of the people you spend the most time with. Choose your circle wisely—surround yourself with people who lift you up, inspire you, and encourage you to be your best self. Intentionality matters. By asking the right questions and aligning your energy, you can attract relationships that feel like home. Letting go is hard but necessary. Releasing friendships that no longer serve you isn’t just about saying goodbye—it’s about making room for growth, freedom, and more authentic connections. Be the friend you want to attract. By holding space for others to show up as their whole selves, you invite the same in return.

In today’s episode, we’re diving into a deeply personal story about surrender — a word I chose to guide my year and one that brought lessons I never expected.

You might think surrendering would lead to peace, ease, and flow. But for me, it meant facing my biggest fears head-on: financial struggles, unexpected life changes, and moments where I completely ran out of control — and money.

I’ll share the story of what it felt like to have just $13 left to my name, the primal fear I experienced as a mother, and the miraculous ways God and the universe continued to provide.

Through it all, I learned that surrender isn’t about giving up. It’s about letting go of control and trusting that even in life’s messiest moments, you are always supported.

This episode is for you if you’re navigating uncertainty and need a reminder to trust the process — even when things don’t go as planned.

    • Surrender Doesn’t Mean Giving Up: It’s about releasing control and trusting that life is happening for you, not to you.

Take a moment to reflect on where you may be holding on too tightly in your life. What would it feel like to loosen your grip and trust that everything is unfolding exactly as it’s meant to?

Picture a current challenge you’re facing. Now, imagine surrendering it to God, the universe, or your highest self. Feel the weight lift as you trust that you are always provided for, even when you can’t see how.

    28. From Counterfeit Happiness to True Joy | What Your Soul Is Really Searching For18 Dec 202400:22:40

In this episode of The Highest Self Project we explore a transformative idea: that life isn’t about the pursuit of happiness, but the cultivation of true joy—joy that sustains us no matter what life throws our way.

Happiness is external and fleeting, tied to circumstances and achievements. But joy? Joy is deeper. It’s eternal. It’s rooted in hope, purpose, and trust that life is happening for us, even in the hard seasons.

Inspired by a recent sermon from Pastor Amanda, I share personal reflections on the concept of “counterfeit joy”—the shallow kind we chase in possessions, success, or image—and how we can trade it for authentic joy that flows from being fully present and trusting God’s goodness.

Drawing on the wisdom of C.S. Lewis and Dallas Willard, we unpack the ways you can find joy—not by escaping life’s struggles, but by showing up in them, fully alive and open to growth.

If you’re feeling weighed down, disconnected, or in a difficult season, this episode will remind you: joy doesn’t mean pretending everything is okay; it’s trusting that everything will be okay in the end.

    1. True Joy vs. Counterfeit Joy

      • Counterfeit joy comes from chasing external achievements, possessions, or validation, but it doesn’t last.
      • True joy is internal, sustainable, and rooted in God’s presence and purpose for our lives.
    2. Joy is Found in Presence

      • Take small moments each day to pause, breathe, and embrace where you are.
      • Dallas Willard reminds us that joy comes when we allow ourselves to be fully here in the present moment.
    3. Shift Your Perspective

      • Instead of asking, “Why is this happening to me?” try asking, “What can I learn from this? How might this be shaping me?”
      • Even in suffering, there is purpose.
    4. Anchor Yourself in Hope

      • Write down reminders of God’s promises—scriptures, affirmations, or prayers—and return to them when you feel overwhelmed.
      • As C.S. Lewis says: “When we lose one blessing, another is often most unexpectedly given in its place.”
    5. Let Yourself Feel

      • Joy doesn’t mean suppressing emotions or numbing the pain. It’s about showing up fully—trusting that even in the darkness, light is coming.
    6. Connect with Others

      • Share your struggles and joys with people you trust. Joy grows when we allow ourselves to connect deeply and authentically.
    • “Joy is not a passing sensation of pleasure, but a pervasive and constant sense of well-being. Hope in the goodness of God is joy's indispensable support.” — Dallas Willard
    • “All joy reminds. It is never a possession, always a desire for something longer ago or further away or still about to be.” — C.S. Lewis
    • “When we lose one blessing, another is often most unexpectedly given in its place.” — C.S. Lewis

Self-inquiry is more than just introspection—it’s a tool for freeing ourselves from the stories that keep us stuck in pain and conflict. I share a deeply personal moment where I used this practice to navigate feelings of frustration and disappointment, revealing how the stories we tell ourselves often reflect old wounds waiting to be healed.

    22. The Freedom of Allowing | A Path to Inner Peace and Connection06 Nov 202400:23:51

In today’s episode, recorded on Election Day 2024, we dive deep into a conversation that feels especially timely. No matter the outcome, division seems inevitable—but what if we shifted our focus from trying to convince others to simply allowing them to be? In this episode, we’ll explore what it means to step into a mindset of “allowing” as a way to find true peace and freedom, without judgment or the need to control others.

By embracing this approach, we can free ourselves from the exhaustion of needing others to see things our way and, instead, foster genuine connection. Together, we’ll look at how allowing can not only change our relationships but also transform the energy we bring into the world.

    Key Takeaways:

    • Multiple Realities Can Coexist: Imagine that every belief, perspective, and way of seeing the world is valid. Our job isn’t to convert others but to be our authentic selves.

    • The Power of “Allowing” Over Control: When we allow others to walk their own paths, we stop arguing with their reality and start experiencing peace in our own.

    • Freeing Ourselves from Judgment: Inspired by A Course in Miracles and Byron Katie, we’ll talk about releasing the mental weight of judgment and learning to live with less resistance.

    • The Law of Attraction in Action: As we embody peace and acceptance, we attract more harmony into our lives and relationships. We’ll explore how this shift in energy can help co-create a more positive world.

    • Reflections on Election Outcomes and Unity: Instead of focusing on division, we’ll look at how understanding and compassion can connect us, even when opinions differ.

Reflection and Practice: To close, we’ll engage in a moment of stillness and reflection. Picture someone you may have struggled to accept or a belief you’ve resisted. In this exercise, we’ll practice allowing and letting go of judgment, creating a space of light and acceptance that leaves you feeling lighter and more connected.

    18. From Hustle to Purpose | Why We Feel Empty After Hitting Our Goals09 Oct 202400:27:18

In this episode, I’m diving deep into the "achievement trap"—that constant pressure we all feel to hustle and achieve more. Whether it’s climbing the corporate ladder, hitting a follower milestone on Instagram, or trying to fit into a pair of jeans from years ago, we’re told that achieving these goals will bring us happiness.

I’ll talk about the emotional and psychological toll hustle culture takes on us, how social media comparison fuels this trap, and why titles, money, and followers can’t fill the void.

We’ll also break down some key studies, like the Easterlin Paradox, to show that once our basic needs are met, more money doesn’t equal more happiness. If you’ve ever felt like you’re stuck on a hamster wheel of achievement but still feel unfulfilled, this episode is for you.

    Key Takeaways:

    1. The Achievement Trap: Society constantly tells us that the more we achieve, the happier we’ll be—but that’s not the full story.
    2. The Comparison Game: Social media makes it easy to compare ourselves to others, leading to feelings of inadequacy and achievement addiction.
    3. The Easterlin Paradox: Once our basic needs are met, more money doesn’t necessarily lead to more happiness.
    4. The Purpose Gap: Without a deeper sense of purpose, our external achievements can start to feel hollow.
    5. Finding Meaning: Purpose is what keeps us grounded through life’s ups and downs, and it’s the key to lasting fulfillment.

Call to Action: This week, I challenge you to take a step back and ask yourself: What am I really chasing? Is it external success, or is it something deeper, like purpose? Start with small steps—look for the things that make you feel connected and alive.

    17. The Rise and Fall of Civilizations | What It Teaches Us About Our Own Spiritual Journey02 Oct 202400:24:32

In this episode, I’m sharing my recent deep dive into the fascinating history of great civilizations and how their rise and fall parallels what we’re experiencing in today’s world.

I’ve been captivated by how empires throughout history have crumbled after becoming too focused on wealth and decadence. As heavy as this topic might seem, there’s something valuable in reflecting on it, especially when we think about our own spiritual journey and how much we’re tied to the material world.

I talk about my own “rabbit hole” of learning and how it’s made me question society’s obsession with material success. Despite having more technology and wealth than ever before, many of us still feel disconnected and unfulfilled. My takeaway from all this? We need to reconnect with our spiritual side and remember that our energy and spirit are eternal. True fulfillment comes from that deeper connection, not from the things we accumulate in this life.

    Key Takeaways:

    • Civilizations tend to fall when they become too focused on wealth and lose sight of their deeper purpose.
    • We’re facing similar issues today—plenty of material success but a growing sense of discontent.
    • The importance of reconnecting with our spiritual essence for lasting peace and fulfillment.
    • True success isn’t about material wealth, but about living in alignment with a higher purpose and being of service to others.

I end the episode with a reflection on Matthew 6:19-21, encouraging us to focus on what really matters and “store up treasures in heaven.”

We talk about shedding old layers, aligning with our highest selves, and the freedom that comes with it. Creighton shares his approach to patience, love, and detaching from expectations, while I discuss my daily practices that help me stay connected to my highest self.

This episode is perfect for anyone feeling weighed down by expectations, striving for perfection, or wanting to live with more authenticity and ease.

    15. Living in the Now | How Presence Unlocks Alignment and Balance18 Sep 202400:29:02

    Hey everyone!

In this episode, I’m reflecting on my first year back in business and what it’s taught me about being present. My prayer lately has been: “Lord, help me wake up to the dream of my life today.” It’s a continuation of last week’s conversation about the cycle of forgetting and remembering on our spiritual journey.

I realized that even though so many of my dreams have come true, there’s still a part of me that longs for the future, always chasing the next version of myself. But the real growth has been learning to be content in the now, in this moment.

    Here’s what I’ve learned:

    • The Power of Presence: Peace and fulfillment can only be found in the present moment.
    • The Cycle of Longing: No matter what we achieve, the mind always looks for the next thing, but we can find happiness by being fully present.
    • Surrendering to the Now: Accepting where we are now, rather than always looking ahead, allows us to find true peace.
    • Pause and Be Present: Find small moments throughout your day to just be here, in the now.
    • Acknowledge the Longing: It’s okay to desire more, but also find joy in where you are right now.
    • Embrace the Journey: Life is a cycle of remembering and forgetting. Keep coming back to the present moment.

If this episode resonated with you, share it with a friend who might need some encouragement, and don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast for more insights on living a purposeful life.

    14. The Cycle of Remembering and Forgetting | A Spiritual Journey 11 Sep 202400:29:55

    Hey everyone!

In this episode, I’m diving into the cycle of remembering and forgetting on our spiritual journey. You know, those moments when you’re deeply connected to yourself, and everything feels aligned, and then… you drift away, caught up in the noise of daily life. It’s something I’ve been reflecting on after a recent somatic therapy session that helped me reconnect with my inner self.

During the session, I visualized this beautiful garden with a lemon tree, which felt like home inside my heart. It was a powerful reminder that when we’re caught up in the world’s chaos, we can always come back to that place of peace within ourselves.

    Here’s what I’ve learned:

    • The Power of Stillness: Taking a moment to pause and reconnect with ourselves brings us back to center, even when life feels overwhelming.
    • Navigating the Ego: When we’re not grounded, the ego takes over, and we start comparing ourselves to others or chasing things that don’t truly matter. But when we remember who we are, that inner voice gets quieter.
    • Inner Child Work: I share how nurturing our inner child helps us get closer to our highest self. When we take care of those parts of us that feel small or scared, we step into our full potential.

    Key Takeaways:

    • Create Space for Stillness: Whether it’s through meditation, a walk in nature, or simply breathing deeply, find time to reconnect with yourself.
    • Nurture Your Inner Child: When we heal those younger parts of ourselves, we make room for more peace, creativity, and confidence.
    • Trust the Process: Life is a constant cycle of remembering and forgetting, and that’s okay. It’s about showing up, again and again, for yourself.

    13. Using Self-Doubt as a Guide | Navigating the Push-Pull of Motivation 04 Sep 202400:19:30

    Hey everyone!

In this episode I talk about balancing the drive to conquer the world with those days when even hitting snooze feels like a major achievement.

Over the past few years, I’ve noticed a pattern: my energy and motivation fluctuate, especially during the summer months. I’ve struggled to find a balance between working hard and allowing myself to relax. There were times when work consumed me entirely, making me miserable, and other times when I felt a void because work wasn’t a big part of my life.

The big question I’m exploring now is how to find that sweet spot where I’m fully present and not lost in some future fantasy.

    Here’s what I’ve learned:

The Power of Awareness: It’s all about noticing the stories we tell ourselves. When I stop treating my thoughts as reality and see them for what they are—like watching a movie without suspension of disbelief—I can focus on the present. This helps me recognize that many of my worries are about things that haven’t happened yet.

Understanding Self-Doubt: I dive into why we experience self-doubt and where it comes from. The root of “doubt” comes from the Latin word "dubitare," meaning “to hesitate,” which reflects being caught between two options or decisions. I explore how this duality shows up in our lives—whether it’s conflicting desires or battling inner critics.

Evolutionary Perspective: From an evolutionary standpoint, self-doubt might have helped our ancestors fit in and avoid danger. For us today, it’s more about personal growth and making thoughtful decisions. Self-doubt can be a guide, pushing us to reflect on where we need to grow next.

    Key Takeaways:

    • Embrace the Dualities: Recognize that it’s okay to have conflicting feelings and experiences. They’re part of the journey.
    • Focus on Growth: Use self-doubt as a tool for self-discovery and growth. Ask yourself what it’s trying to teach you.
    • Be Present: Strive to be fully engaged in the now, rather than getting lost in worries about the future.

    12. One Year Alcohol-Free | What This Last Year Taught Me and My Journey of Getting Here28 Aug 202400:35:53

In this episode, I’m taking a moment to reflect on a significant milestone—one year since I decided to stop drinking alcohol. From the outside, it might have seemed like a sudden choice, but the truth is, it was a long and challenging journey to get here.

I share my story to offer a bit of light and hope for those who might be struggling with alcohol or feeling stuck. It’s not about alcohol being the sole path to self-discovery, but about the broader journey of becoming our true selves and rewriting our stories.

    In This Episode, We Explore:

    • My First Encounter with Alcohol
    • The Progression of My Relationship with Alcohol
    • A Turning Point
    • What Shifted for me

    Key Takeaways:

    • Authenticity Over Inauthenticity: The importance of being honest with ourselves and others about our struggles, rather than hiding behind a facade.
    • Redefining Freedom: Understanding that true freedom and self-expression don’t need to come from substances but from within.
    • Rewriting Your Story: It’s never too late to change paths and become the person you want to be, regardless of your starting point.

    11. How to Live your Dream Life Today 21 Aug 202400:36:13

In this episode, I share some real, raw insights from my own journey—how I built a business that consumed me to the point where I had nothing left to give to my family. I was chasing success, thinking that one day I’d have the time and space to be truly present for my loved ones. But the reality is, if we don’t make time for what matters now, no amount of success or money will fill the void we leave in the hearts of those we love.

We explore a powerful exercise together: What if a magic genie could grant you any wish? Most people would ask for more money, but if we dig deeper, what we really want is the feeling we believe money will bring—peace, worthiness, love, freedom. And the truth is, those feelings are available to us right now.

I walk you through how I’ve started living my dream life today, even before reaching all my big goals. Whether it’s creating a beautiful space in the home you already have, bonding with your kids in ways that don’t cost a thing, or simply choosing peace over hustle—these are steps you can take right now to start embodying your highest self.

    Key Takeaways:

    1. Take Stock of Your Time: Start by examining how you spend your time each week. Highlight activities that bring you joy in green, neutral ones in yellow, and those you dislike in red. This can help you see where you can make adjustments, like outsourcing tasks that drain you, to create more space for what truly matters.

    2. Start Small: Remember, to achieve big dreams, you start with one small step. Whether it's reaching millions or just transforming one life—start today. What’s one thing you can do right now to get closer to your ultimate goals?

    3. Daily Reminders: Life can pull us away from our core desires. Set up reminders—like a vision board, bracelets with meaningful words, or an app like Triple Flame—to stay connected to who you truly are and the life you want to create.

I’ll also guide you through a special visualization exercise that helps you imagine your perfect day using everything you already have. This isn't about waiting for the future—it's about realizing that your dream life is within reach right now.

Let's Connect More: If this episode resonated with you, I invite you to take the first step today. Share this episode with someone who needs to hear this message, and let’s start a ripple effect of transformation, one person at a time. 45. Not the Universe—Jesus: A Story of Surrender in a Self-Made World | Week 830 Apr 202500:22:16

In this raw and deeply personal episode, Fernanda opens up about her journey from New Age spirituality and self-help practices to full surrender to Jesus Christ. Through moments of unraveling, loss, and unexpected revelation, she shares how she went from trying to manifest her dream life to discovering a peace that can’t be manufactured—only received.

If you've ever reached a point where self-development just isn’t enough, or you’re feeling the nudge for something deeper, this episode offers a powerful, honest reflection on what it truly means to let go of control and trust in something greater.

This isn't a lecture—it's an invitation. One that might just change everything.

    ✨ Topics Covered

✅ What manufactured surrender looks like vs. biblical surrender
✅ The illusion of control in self-help and manifestation culture
✅ Why "following your truth" eventually leads to burnout
✅ The discomfort of walking a countercultural spiritual path
✅ The scriptures that anchor true peace and trust in God
✅ Why surrendering to Jesus isn’t giving up—it’s coming home
✅ Encouragement for skeptics, seekers, and those in transition

    🧠 Key Takeaways & Reflections

📌 Control is rooted in fear. We try to control outcomes because we’re afraid—of failing, of not being enough, of being abandoned. But freedom comes when we hand it all over to the One who sees what we can’t.

📌 Resistance creates suffering. Letting go isn’t weakness—it’s wisdom. When we stop fighting life, we make space for rest, peace, and God’s redirection.

📌 You don’t need to have it all figured out. Scripture reminds us: God isn’t looking for perfection—just a mustard seed of faith and a willing heart.

📌 You were made for more. Culture teaches conformity. Jesus calls us to transformation. You’re not here to fit in—you’re here to be free.

    09. Finding Purpose and Resilience Through Life's Ups and Downs 07 Aug 202400:18:56

Hey everyone! In this episode, I'm diving into a topic close to my heart—synchronicities and how I connect with my highest self. Now, I know this might seem a bit "woo-woo" to some, but I believe in sharing my authentic journey, even if it goes against the grain. So, if you're curious or if any of this resonates, stick around. And if it doesn't, that's totally okay too. We all have our own paths to explore.

    1. Challenging Old Beliefs: I've learned that it's okay to go against the grain and challenge old beliefs. This journey is about finding what resonates with you and letting go of what doesn't.

    2. Religion and Spirituality: I shared my views on religion, acknowledging the common thread among different beliefs—a higher power or ultimate reality beyond our material world. Whether you connect with Jesus, Buddha, Muhammad, or any other divine figure, we're all seeking a connection with something greater.

    3. The Illusion of Material Fulfillment: My spiritual awakening began when I realized that material possessions and external validation couldn't bring true fulfillment. It's a journey of coming home to yourself and finding a deeper connection within.

    4. Synchronicities and Guidance: I talked about how synchronicities guide me. Whether it's through astrology, the seasons, or divine timing, I believe we're always presented with the right people and experiences at the perfect time.

    5. Law of Divine Oneness: I touched on the first of the 12 Universal Laws—the Law of Divine Oneness. It's the idea that we're all interconnected, and our actions, thoughts, and energies ripple out and affect the world around us.

    6. Being in the World but Not of It: Inspired by the book The Science of Self-Realization, I shared the concept of being in this world but not consumed by it. It's about finding a balance between our human experiences and our spiritual essence.

    08. How Motherhood Highlights the Deepest Parts of my Being31 Jul 202400:24:03

In this episode I talk about how motherhood brings those deep-seated parts of my being that I sometimes wish I didn't have to see and how triggering it can be to watch my worst traits being played in front of me like a play in my children's behavior and reflection of me.

    Takeaways:

    Authenticity Through Challenges:

Embracing our authentic self involves facing both strengths and vulnerabilities, not just the parts we want the world to see.

    Motherhood’s Reflection:

My experiences as a mother have mirrored my inner struggles, revealing my wounded inner child and highlighting the need for self-compassion and growth.

    Relationships as Mirrors:

Every relationship has the potential to reflect unresolved issues. These reflections are crucial for understanding and evolving our true self.

    Understanding and Transforming Anger:

Anger, when understood, can reveal deep-seated fears and unresolved traumas. By examining our anger, we can shift from intolerance to compassion and self-awareness.

Journal Prompt: Exploring and Transforming Anger

Reflect on a recent experience where you felt anger. In your journal, answer the following questions:

    1. Describe the Situation: What happened that triggered your anger? Be as detailed as possible.
    2. Identify the Underlying Fear or Pain: According to Richard Rudd, anger often masks deeper emotions like fear or pain. What fear or pain might be hiding beneath your anger in this situation? (e.g., fear of being disrespected, pain of feeling powerless, etc.)
    3. Contemplate the Gift: How can this experience of anger lead to greater understanding or compassion for yourself and others? What positive qualities or insights can emerge if you transcend the anger?
    4. Embrace Forgiveness: What would it look like to forgive yourself or others involved in this situation? How might this forgiveness transform your feelings and actions?

In this episode, I dive deep into the topic of people pleasing, a behavior many of us, especially women, can relate to. We’ll explore what people pleasing is, why it’s so common, and most importantly, how to reframe our approach to serving others by prioritizing self-care and setting healthy boundaries.

    Main Takeaways:

Understanding People Pleasing: People pleasing is prioritizing others' needs, desires, and expectations over your own, often at the expense of your well-being.

Cultural and Societal Conditioning: Women are often conditioned from a young age to be nurturing, selfless, and accommodating.

Self-Awareness: Meditating allows you to tune into your inner state and recognize when you’re acting out of the desire to please others.

Tips to break free from people pleasing:

    1- Practicing Saying No

    2- Setting Boundaries

    3- Reframing Your Mindset

    4- Somatic Practices

    06. The Imperfect Path to Purpose17 Jul 202400:23:03

In this episode, I opened up about feeling disconnected from my highest self lately. It's been a struggle, especially after a trip threw my meditation routine out of whack. I realized I was putting a lot of pressure on myself to be "perfect" and achieve all these things – and guess what? It totally backfired!

    Here's what I learned:

    • It's okay to have off days. You won't always feel like you're firing on all cylinders, and that's totally normal.
    • Perfectionism is a sneaky little gremlin. It can hold us back from making progress because we're too busy worrying about doing things perfectly instead of just doing them.
    • Ever heard of the Dunning-Kruger effect? It explains why sometimes the most skilled people doubt themselves, while beginners might think they're rockstars (even if they're not quite there yet).
    • Progress is about tiny steps, not giant leaps. Don't get discouraged if you miss a meditation session or two. Just get back on the horse and keep moving forward.
    • Life is a rollercoaster, full of ups and downs. Embrace the whole ride, even the bumpy parts!

    05. If Sky Was The Limit, What Would I Do?09 Jul 202400:21:37

In this episode, I talked about the journey of creating a business that's aligned with my true self, and how it all started with a simple question: If the sky's the limit, what would I do?

For a whole year after leaving my previous business, I was lost. I spent so much time focusing on what I hated about that experience that I forgot to figure out what I actually wanted. I went back and forth between starting a new big business and reviving my interior design career.

The real "aha" moment came during a visit to Brazil. Talking to family, I realized my passion was in mentoring. Initially, the goal was to build a business and then use that success to mentor others. But what if I could skip the whole "build a big business" part and just jump into coaching?

Trusting my intuition, I took a leap of faith and rented an office in a beautiful location by the water – a place I'd dreamed of working from years ago. It felt like a sign, a confirmation that things were falling into place.

The next step was to focus on myself. I invested heavily in healing and transformation through coaching, retreats, and alternative therapies. Understanding my human design, gene keys, and menstrual cycle all helped me chart my unique path.

This journey of self-discovery has been instrumental in shaping my business. It's all about aligning your energy with your goals. The more I believed in something, the more it manifested in my reality – from my first year's income goal to the creation of a new program based on my core values.

Trusting my inner guidance is key. Resistance is inevitable, but by understanding my energy and purpose, I can discern whether it's fear or a genuine misalignment.

    Here are the key takeaways:

    • Listen to your inner voice. Don't get lost in the noise of other people's advice. The answers are already within you.
    • Focus on alignment. Build a business that lights you up, not one based on someone else's definition of success.
    • Embrace your uniqueness. There's no one-size-fits-all approach. Find your own path and run with it.
    • Follow your joy. It's the key to abundance and fulfillment.

    04. Hello Shadow My Old Friend03 Jul 202400:29:29

In this episode, I shared my own journey of launching this podcast and the fear of judgment that came up. We talked about how the idea of perfection is an illusion, and how our highest self is constantly evolving.

    Here's what I learned:

    • Ditching Perfection: I used to think I had to be perfect to reach my highest self. But guess what? Perfection is an illusion! We're constantly growing and changing, and what feels perfect now might not later.
    • Embrace Your Entirety: The key is to accept your whole life experience, even the imperfections. No judgment!
    • Become Your Most Authentic Self: Your highest self is the most real, genuine you – the one who shines even without an audience.

    How to Get There:

    • Practice Stillness: Quieting my mind helped me become aware of the negative thoughts that weren't serving me.
    • Self-Awareness is Always On: It's not just for therapy sessions! This is a practice for every moment.
    • Thoughts Play Games: Our ego might play tricks on us, using negative thoughts as a shield from external criticism.
    • Challenge Negative Thoughts: Instead of shoving them down, I get curious. What fear or insecurity is hiding underneath?
    • Rewrite the Story: Once I understand the root of these thoughts, I can rewrite the story with a more empowering narrative.

    My Personal Story:

    • Fear of Judgment: When I launched this podcast, I was hit with a wave of fear about what people would think.
    • Digging Deeper: Through journaling and asking myself "Why?" and "Then what?", I uncovered a childhood memory of desperately wanting to be someone else.
    • Healing the Inner Child: Understanding this memory is the first step to healing the part of me that feels unworthy.

What if legacy wasn’t something you leave behind, but something you embody—right here, right now? In this sacred conversation, Fernanda invites you into a deeper definition of legacy—one that has nothing to do with milestones or metrics, and everything to do with soul.

Rooted in the powerful memory of an end-of-life meditation that changed her forever, this episode explores what it means to live in alignment with what truly matters. Legacy, Fernanda reminds us, isn’t about how many people know your name—it’s about how your presence transforms the people who do.

  • 43. The Truth Hidden in Your Deepest Desires | Week 616 Apr 202500:23:13

What if the thing you think you want the most… isn’t the thing you truly desire?

In today’s soul-stirring episode, I invite you to explore the radical truth about your deepest desires. We’ve been taught to chase more—more money, more recognition, more comfort—but underneath that surface-level striving is a sacred longing placed in us by God.

I share my personal journey of letting go of the material version of “success” and discovering that what I truly longed for was divine love, alignment, and purpose. We’ll talk about the cultural deception of hustle, the trap of self-manifestation, and the spiritual shift that happens when we allow God—not the algorithm—to lead us.

This episode will challenge what you’ve been taught, soften what you’ve been guarding, and guide you back to the One who gave you those desires in the first place.

💬 “You don’t have to manifest your worth. God already gave it to you.”
💬 “The love you’re looking for was never meant to come from this world.”

🌀 Have I mistaken external success for divine alignment?
🌀 Am I willing to let go of my vision to trust God’s vision for me?
🌀 What is the true desire beneath the surface of my dreams?

    41. Unlearning the Past: A Journey Back to the Self | Week 402 Apr 202500:31:10

Inside each of us lives a younger version of ourselves—our inner child—still holding the emotions, beliefs, and unmet needs from our earliest experiences. Often, it’s this tender part of us that gets triggered in the present: the one who learned to stay small, to people-please, to hide their truth in order to feel safe.

In this guided meditation, we gently reconnect with that inner child, not to fix them—but to witness them with love. Using tools from reparenting work—like breathwork, visualization, emotional attunement, and loving affirmations—we begin the healing process of meeting old wounds with new compassion.

If you've ever felt like you overreact, shut down, or carry emotions too big for the moment, this meditation will guide you to the root—offering presence where there was once absence, and care where there was once silence.

This is where the healing begins: not by changing who you are, but by remembering who you’ve always been.

🌿 Episode Topics & Key Themes

✅ Reconnecting with your inner child through imagery and breath
✅ Identifying the core wound that shaped your earliest emotional landscape
✅ Noticing how that wound still influences your adult behaviors
✅ Practicing attunement—meeting the inner child with compassion, not correction
✅ Offering healing words and loving action to reparent yourself
✅ Integration—bringing the inner child home to your heart

    Key Takeaways & Reflections

📌 “You are not broken—you are remembering.”
📌 Awareness is the first step in healing. The wound may still show up, but now you can choose to respond with love.
📌 Reparenting is not about fixing—it’s about being present with what was once unmet.
📌 Your inner child doesn’t need perfection. They just need presence.
📌 Every time you return with tenderness, you rewrite the story.

    40. Reflections of the Soul: Relationships as Mirrors for Healing | Week 326 Mar 202500:32:16

What if the people who trigger us the most are actually our greatest teachers? In this powerful episode of The Highest Self Project, we explore how relationships serve as sacred mirrors—revealing the unhealed wounds and stories we've carried since childhood. Whether it's blame, projection, or the overuse of therapy-speak to label others, this conversation invites you to take your power back by owning your patterns and doing the deep, internal work that leads to transformation. This episode isn’t about shame—it’s about self-responsibility, soul-level healing, and choosing to evolve.

    Episode Topics & Key Themes

✅ Why our biggest triggers are often reflections of our deepest wounds
✅ The danger of over-labeling people (narcissist, gaslighter, etc.) as a way to avoid self-reflection
✅ How to recognize and heal your core wound
✅ The 3-step framework for turning pain into growth
✅ Why self-awareness is the key to breaking toxic relationship patterns
✅ The spiritual truth: relationships are not in the way of our evolution—they are the way

    Key Takeaways & Reflections

📌 When we villainize others, we give away the opportunity to see the parts of ourselves we’re avoiding.
📌 Your emotional triggers are sacred messengers—listen to them with curiosity, not judgment.
📌 The ego loves to assign blame. True growth begins when we ask, “What is this person showing me about me?”
📌 Your core wound likely formed when you were just a child—and it still echoes in your adult relationships.
📌 Owning your projection is the path to reclaiming your power. That’s how the shadow becomes the gift.

    Powerful Quotes From This Episode

💬 “Relationships don’t block our evolution—they are the path to it.”
💬 “The ego says, ‘They’re the problem.’ But the soul whispers, ‘Look within.’”
💬 “Every trigger is a mirror. Every reaction is a doorway into the parts of you that are still waiting to be seen.”
💬 “The shadow of rejection holds the gift of radical self-acceptance.”
