I believe health begins at home. Even though most of us know its important to eat well and do exercise, little attention is given to the effect that the built environment has on our health and that of the planet. I hope that through my experience and expertise as an Holistic Health Coach, Expert in Healthy Buildings and Interior Designer; I can give you tips and strategies on how to optimise your living and work spaces for maximum health and productivity.
We are living in toxic times and being bombarded every day with chemicals from our air, water, food, building materials, WIFI and even our furniture. This undermines both our physical and mental health and prevents us from enjoying our lives to the full. I aim to inspire and give insight on how to create home and work environments that not only bring us joy through style and creativity but also optimise our health and sustain that bigger home to us all, mother earth.
I run programmes on how to Detox your Home and Body so that you can feel in the best health possible and achieve all those dreams in life which you so deserve. I have healed myself and others through my unique Detox blueprint which address not only how to eliminate toxins out of the body but also how to minimise and protect yourself from re-exposing yourself to the pollutants and chemicals in our home and environment that can make us so ill.

Why Detoxing is No longer Optional in our Modern World with Detox Expert - Eddie Stone
mercredi 28 janvier 2026 • Durée 55:26
In this episode of The Healthy Home Show, Charlie Lemmer is joined by detox expert Eddie Stone, CEO and founder of Touchstone Essentials, to explore why detox is no longer optional in modern life.
With over 30 years’ experience in the detox and supplements space, Eddie shares how his personal journey into detox began through his mother’s autoimmune health crisis and why today’s toxic load is fundamentally different from anything previous generations faced.
Together, Charlie and Eddie unpack what we are actually detoxing from, including heavy metals, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), microplastics, pesticides and everyday chemical exposures found in our air, water, food, clothing and homes. They discuss the concept of “body burden”, how toxins can accumulate over time, and why symptoms such as fatigue, inflammation, hormonal imbalance and autoimmune issues are becoming increasingly common.
The conversation covers practical, grounded strategies for supporting the body’s natural detox systems, including hydration, fibre, gut health, movement, breathing, saunas and reducing environmental exposure. Eddie also explains why gut transit time matters, how microplastics enter the body, and why supporting detox should be about consistency rather than extreme protocols.
Charlie brings the discussion back to the home environment, highlighting the overlooked role that indoor air quality, water quality, materials and everyday lifestyle choices play in long-term health and longevity.
This episode is a calm, evidence-informed conversation about detox without fear or fads, offering listeners a clearer understanding of how to reduce toxic load, support the body, and create environments that allow health to thrive.

Mould: The Growing Health Crisis with Samuel Bowles
Saison 3 · Épisode 5
mercredi 17 décembre 2025 • Durée 47:33
In this episode of The Healthy Home Show, Charlie Lemmer is joined by Sam Bowles, co-founder of Pure Maintenance UK, for an in-depth and evidence-based conversation about mould, indoor air quality and human health.
Mould is often dismissed as a cosmetic or maintenance issue, yet growing evidence shows it can have a significant impact on wellbeing — particularly for those with allergies, asthma, autoimmune conditions or heightened sensitivities.
Drawing on his personal health journey and years of professional experience, Sam explains why visible mould is rarely the full problem, how mould spores and mycotoxins build up in our homes over time, and why common approaches such as bleach and surface cleaning often fail to resolve the issue.
Together, Charlie and Sam explore:
- Why most mould exposure is invisible and airborne
- The concept of “mould load” in UK homes
- The difference between proper remediation and surface treatment
- How mould affects the body and immune system
- Why UK housing stock is particularly vulnerable
- The importance of addressing the environment before detoxing the body
- Emerging conversations around EMFs, building health and mould
- Why mould should be considered a public and environmental health issue
This episode is not about fear or extremes. It’s about clarity, practical understanding and informed choices — helping listeners better understand their homes and how to create healthier living environments.
A must-listen for homeowners, renters, landlords, designers, health practitioners and anyone interested in the intersection between housing, health and wellbeing.
