We have a special guest for you today, Ashley Craft, the author of the Unofficial Disney Cookbooks. As a child who grew up in Anaheim, California, Ashley could recite the Star Tours ride by heart, navigate the Park without a map, and fell asleep to the sound of Disneyland fireworks each night in her bedroom. After two internships at Walt Disney World and many, many more visits to the Disney Parks, Ashley is now one of the leading experts on Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Her popular blog, Ashley Crafted, is best known for featuring recipes inspired by Disney Park foods to help people recreate that Disney magic right in their own kitchens.

On Sept. 29th, Hurricane Ian made landfall near Cayo Costa, an island off the coast of Fort Myers, just after 3 p.m. on Wednesday, it brought 150 mph winds -- tying as the fifth-strongest hurricane to make landfall in the U.S., according to the National Hurricane Center.
Enter World Central Kitchen - We have often commented on Chef Jose Andres, proprietor of Jaleo in Disney Springs, World Central Kitchen, and the amazing response that this outreach provides. Their mission states:
World Central Kitchen (WCK) is first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. Applying our model of quick action, leveraging local resources, and adapting in real time, WCK has served hundreds of millions of nourishing meals around the world. When disaster strikes, WCK’s Relief Team mobilizes with the urgency of now to start cooking and serving meals to people in need efficiently and with dignity. By partnering with organizations on the ground and activating a network of local restaurants, food trucks, or emergency kitchens, WCK serves comforting meals to survivors of disasters quickly and effectively. To support regional economies, WCK prioritizes purchasing local ingredients to cook with or distribute directly to families in need.
Today our very own chef Danae is here to share her recent experience as she volunteered with WCK in Ft. Myers.

In Walt Disney World Parks & Resorts the contribution of women to the company is celebrated as well. QUOTE: “At Walt Disney World Resort, women have been a driving force behind many of our most treasured theme park experiences. That’s why Women’s History Month is so important to us – it’s a time to honor women throughout history, share their stories, and celebrate their achievements. All month long, “Celebrate HER Story” will put the spotlight on cherished Disney character heroines and our talented female cast members who are making positive impacts. From engineers, magic makers, and chefs to talented female-led entertainment and unique offerings, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”
Last year on the podcast we also “celebrated HER Story” with a show and thought it would be great to make this a tradition. This year we are going to create a Disney Dining Experience for one real and one fictional Disney woman. Planning a meal that we think would encapsulate their passion for Disney and of course their unique personality traits!

Well, you must have been under a rock on the planet Endor if you haven’t heard about the launching of the Star Wars – Galactic Starcruiser! The first flight took place on March 1st with lots of fanfare. Unfortunately, the three of us were not able to make this voyage but we thought we should at least talk about some of the food that was being served onboard. As stated by Disney you will be able to “Sample an expertly curated menu of the most delicious dishes from across the galaxy, while engaging in unique experiences that continue your Star Wars story during your 2-night adventure on Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser! Eat in style while aboard the Halcyon starcruiser at the welcoming Crown of Corellia Dining Room—known throughout the galaxy for its first-class cuisine and unique live musical entertainment.”
Do you have any plans to take a voyage onboard?

During the recording of our 100th episode, we heard from many of you that your favorite episodes were the Disney Dining for $50.00 a day. This is where we ate a snack, QS, and TS and keep our total under $50.00. Well, a new gauntlet has been thrown down by Happy Plater, Kerry Holthe, to try and eat at a Disney Park for a family of four for under $100. Challenge accepted! Here are the parameters: Family of four – two adults and 2 children, 3 meals, meal sharing is allowed, and we can’t forget the tax of 6.5%. So off to Magic Kingdom we go and let’s see how we do!
Any guesses on which one of us went over budget?

On the menu for today’s show are some of the delicious eats and treats we were able to experience at Disney’s International Festival of the Arts. This EPCOT Festival made its debut in 2017 and took place on weekends from January to February. It was so well received that it has expanded to running every day and continues to celebrate these three artistic disciplines: Culinary, Visual, and Performing Arts.
What were your favorite items from this year's food studios? Who's going back to try the "Sea Butterfly" from the Painted Panda for us?

On today's show, we are joined by two special guests Mikki L. and Colleen S., who recently along with Wendi and her husband Robby attended one of the Magic Kingdom's 50th Fireworks Dessert Parties. Every year, people all around the world make New Year's resolutions. According to recent research, while as many as 45 percent of Americans say they usually make New Year’s resolutions, only 8 percent are successful in achieving their goals. But that dismal record probably won’t stop people from making resolutions anytime soon—after all, we’ve had about 4,000 years of practice. But New Year’s resolutions don’t have to be so serious. So today we are going to list our Disney New Year’s Resolutions! This is where we choose resolutions for places we want to eat, snacks we want to try, or Disney food experiences in 2022. Then at the year's end, we will revisit and see if we managed to complete some or all and if we just ended up like the majority and failed miserably. Let’s start off with our 5 Dining Resolutions for 2022...we would LOVE to hear what are your 2022 Disney Dining Resolutions!

For today’s show, we are going to give you a quick over of 2 of the upcoming festivals in Epcot; the Festival of the Arts and Flower & Garden and also what are some of our favorite things to do in each of these. First up; Festival of the Arts.
The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts kicks off on Jan. 14 and runs through Feb. 21, 2022. The festival is extra magical since it’s taking place during The World’s Most Magical Celebration honoring the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort.
Next up is the Flower & Garden Festival…spring is already in the air because our horticulture team at Walt Disney World Resort is busy producing topiaries, hanging baskets, flower towers, and more in preparation for the 2022 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. This popular and fragrant festival springs to life on March 2 and runs through July 4. That’s 125 days to enjoy fresh cuisine, colorful gardens, playful topiaries, and vibrant entertainment.
