Tape 3 - Moonlight04 Sep 202600:24:41

Jack Hanson starts noticing the pattern.

The blackouts aren’t random. They follow a rhythm. One tied to something outside of him… and something inside him trying to keep pace. As the gaps in his memory grow wider, the pieces he does remember begin to take on new weight.

The lake. The dreams.

The feeling that whatever’s happening to him isn’t just happening inside him. The memories that remain don’t bring clarity. They bring repetition. The same place. The same feeling. The same sense that he’s not alone in any of it.

So he gives it a name.

“Moonlight” is where Jack stops asking if something is wrong, and instead, starts wondering how long it’s been there.

Tape 2 - Playback04 Sep 202600:25:05

Jack Hanson begins reviewing the recordings.

What he finds should be simple. Confirmation of what he already knows. The recordings should help him make sense of the gaps. Instead, they deepen them. The tapes only make things harder to understand.

The more he rewinds, the less certain everything becomes: What he remembers, what he said, and what actually happened.

Moments feel heavier.

Details don’t line up the way they should.

And the more he listens, the more it feels like he’s chasing something just out of reach. For the first time, Jack starts to question not just what happened; But how much of it he can trust.

“Playback” is where Jack realizes he may not be catching up to the truth...

He may be falling further behind it.

Tape 1 - The Blackouts04 Sep 202600:25:40

Jack Hanson has started to notice the gaps.

Moments slipping through the cracks. Conversations he doesn’t remember having. Entire stretches of time that vanish without explanation.

At first, he tells himself it’s stress. Lack of sleep. Something manageable. But the evidence keeps stacking up. And the more he tries to piece things together, the more it feels like he’s chasing something just out of reach.

So he does the only thing he can think to do.

He starts recording everything.

“The Blackouts” is where it begins.

Recovered File 00120 Mar 202600:01:10

Jack Hanson started recording himself for one reason:

To prove he wasn’t losing his mind.

What he captured instead was something far worse.

  • Hours disappeared.
  • Memories didn’t come back.
  • And the tapes began to tell a story he couldn’t remember living.

The Hanson Tapes is a psychological horror podcast told entirely through recovered recordings, dropped on the desk of Agent Tate. Follow along as he reviews a collection of recordings documenting memory loss, blackouts, and the slow collapse of a man trying to understand what he’s done; and what he might still be capable of.

The deeper you listen, the harder it becomes to separate memory from reality…

and truth from something else entirely.

Season One begins September 4th, 2026.

Every tape tells the truth. Just not the one you expect.
