The gnomes meet a new friend, Mr. Morrison Mole, who was mistaken for a giant worm after tunneling through Rutabug's living room. Since Morrison ate all the pumpkin seeds, Rutabug carves his pumpkin into a new house and invites everyone inside.

In which, after Hamilton gets a canning lesson from Rutabug and Thumbkin, Petipom discovers a giant zucchini. Then, rolling it down to the creek, they discover it floats, which Rutabug has the bright idea of transforming it into a ship they appropriately call, The Black Beauty.

In which, after a morning filled with fruit festivities, Petipom makes a birthday wish to have his friends join him in the sky. Amethyst suggests they make a birthday balloon. The gnomes then make his wish come true by building it. Then, together, inside the birthday balloon, they watch fairyworks.
