For over 40 years, Alvin Elbert has been serving the Newberg community with ARE Manufacturing. Alvin was also instrumental in the creation and development of Tiger Manufacturing, a manufacturing business at Newberg High School that is run by students at NHS. Alvin continues to pour into these students and the community, though most of his work is done behind the scenes. Chehalem Valley Chamber of Commerce also awarded Alvin as the 2016 Citizen of the Year for all of his community efforts.

In this episode, Alvin shares the story of ARE Manufacturing, his motivation for mentoring young people, the origins of Tiger Manufacturing, and what lies ahead for both businesses.
