Greatest Hits: How My Brain Sabotaged My Business for 8+ Years30 janv. 202500:41:30

Stop apologizing for selling. Stop pleasing people!

This past year I realized I had a lot of breakthroughs I needed to experience, specifically with my mindset toward my own business. The moment I was able to name a really precise belief aloud (which I’m still working on), it made a world of difference in my bank account and confidence in my offering.

Absolute transparency here, I had an unhealthy obsession with my client results and never truly believed in my offers. In today's episode, I’ll be sharing all about how I’ve intentionally worked on my thought creation.

Bonus, we’ll have a practical session where I show you how I get chosen to ask my questions every damn time in a crowd and get coached live without the awkwardness attached to that feeling.

Whether you get customers immediately, down the road, or through referrals, this strategy works.

Internal Debate: Did I make a Huge Business Mistake?27 juin 202400:43:43

I’ve made a lot of decisions in my business that, upon reflection, I’m not always sure I’d do again.

But, this particular choice really has me thinking. It might be one of my biggest regrets.

That is…raising my prices too soon.

It's not necessarily the choice, but the hastiness and motivation behind price changes. The lesson here is to discern whether you're actually initiating a new strategy or reacting to your unresolved money and selling fears.

It was a combination for me. So, I’m laying it all out there today to tell you my exact thoughts, as of today, and what I plan on doing going forward.

This Week on the Get Paid Podcast:

  • The original pricing of Absolute FB Ads and why it was so low

  • Why I went through so many price points and what I think about it now

  • When pricing is and is not a strategy - and often there’s more to look at before you make big changes

  • Learning to take the entire context of your launch and audience building into account before making big decisions

  • Why we should be collecting case studies like yesterday

Hey Business Coaches: Stop Giving This Advice13 juin 202400:19:46

This is my open letter to business coaches.

There’s some (perhaps well-meaning) advice too many coaches give to their clients.

I know the intention is to reduce risk for your clients. But, most of the time, you’re setting them up for slower, more painful business growth.

Today, I want to tell you exactly why you need to stop telling clients to wait until their business is bigger before they run ads.

This Week on the Get Paid Podcast:

  • Why I’m mad at business coaches (and, yes, I still I love you)

  • You can’t learn what works without this one crucial ingredient

  • Some of you are accidentally setting your clients up for failure

  • Why ads are often less risky than relying on an organic model for growth

  • Organic social media marketing isn’t enough (or even that effective anymore) to help us learn about and improve our messaging

  • What really goes into ads for businesses at an earlier stage (and with a smaller budget)

Why More Women Need to Press the Easy Button on their Businesses29 févr. 202400:20:01

What’s the difference between men and women when it comes to entrepreneurship? That’s a question I tackle today, and the answer has nothing to do with biology. For every online business, there’s what I like to call the “easy button” approach to bringing in regular new leads.

But, in a study I’ll talk about today, more men than women are likely to take this route.

Yes, I’m talking about  ads. And, I’ll break down why we need more women benefiting from this approach. Let’s get into it…

This Week on the Get Paid Podcast:

  • The gender gap in entrepreneurship

  • The theory of male hubris and female humility

  • How overconfidence can work in your favor

  • Why women get more discouraged by failure

  • The bias that ads mean you’re “cheating.”

  • Addressing people pleasing will benefit your business

  • What’s possible when more people, especially women, choose the easy button
