The 100m Dash Head To Head between Karsten Warholm and Mondo Duplantis finally went down in Zurich Switzerland and it was a rare occurrence of a new unique idea in Track & Field successfully being executed and well received by fans and athletes alike.

I was on the ground in Zurich for the event and today I share some of the things I liked, some things I thought didn't work well, and if this should continue more regularly into the future.

2019 World Champion Christian Coleman has had a somewhat rocky career since he won his world title 5 years ago. 6th and 5th place finishes in the 100m at the last two World Championships, failing to make the 2024 Olympic 100m team, but at the same time cementing himself as the 60m Dash GOAT after World Indoor gold in 2024. But despite the criticism he receives for his up and down career, he deserves some grace for being a great person and athlete on an off the track.
