Framewreck #26 | The Kissing Booth (2018)

jeudi 28 mars 2024Durée 57:17

On episode twenty-six of FRAMEWRECK (a show about so-bad-they're-good movies), channel creator Dylan Randazzo and bad movie expert Matt Chapmond talk about a Netflix phenomenon THE KISSING BOOTH in honor of Valentine's Day. So grab your loved one and join us as we discuss odd montages, lady bumps (?), and passenger seat Batman disguise reveals. Why did this spawn two sequels? Why are there two more of these? Why is this a trilogy? I know this was the same question asked three different ways, but IT STILL PUZZLES US SO WE MUST ASK IT. Find out all of this and more in our newest episode of Framewreck.

Picture This #35 | The Best of 1927/28

jeudi 28 mars 2024Durée 02:08:47

We’re back with "PICTURE THIS," an exploration through every Best Picture nominee ever. This month, hosts Dylan Randazzo and Chadwick Webb are looking at the nominees of 1927/28 (for the 1929 ceremony). That was the first ever Oscars ceremony, in which there were TWO Best Picture categories: "Outstanding Picture" and "Unique and Artistic Picture." So we decided to check out all of the films nominated for both categories. In the "Outstanding Picture" category, we have "7th Heaven," "The Racket," and "Wings," and for the "Unique and Artistic Picture" category, we have "Chang," "The Crowd," and "Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans." We break down each nominee individually, discuss some other notable 1927/28 movies, and in the end, we will rank the nominees ourselves to determine OUR Best Picture winner of 1927/28. We will also award prizes to our best actors and actresses of these six films. Also, make sure to stick around for the end, where we will announce NEXT month's year in Oscars history.

Framewreck #25 | NOSTALGIA JUNCTION - Matt's Nostalgic Swashbuckling Adventures

mercredi 27 mars 2024Durée 01:52:29

On episode twenty-five of FRAMEWRECK (a show about so-bad-they're-good movies), channel creator Dylan Randazzo and bad movie expert Matt Chapmond switch things up and dive into the realm of nostalgia in a new miniseries they like to call NOSTALGIA JUNCTION. In our first Nostalgia Junction episode, we look at the swashbuckling adventures of Matt's childhood, all of which Dyl had never seen before, those films being: The Pagemaster (1994), Disney's The Three Musketeers (1993), and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991). What makes the swashbuckling genre so timeless? What makes some of these iterations the best of their kind? Are these films merely good with nostalgia goggles or do they hold up today with a fresh eye? Find out all this and more on Framewreck: NOSTALGIA JUNCTION.
